Bible Study at the Lunns will recommence at 7.30pm on Wednesday 10th January, 2 Hurgill Road. See Scott for further details. Round Pound Coins. Old style round pound coins are now no longer legal tender. There are thousands of pounds worth of these coins in people’s pockets, piggy banks and at the back of sofas. You can’t spend them but the bank have agreed to exchange them for the church. We’ve opened a special Round Pound Donation Box at the back of the church. Check your pockets and furniture and give these old coins a good home. We are delighted to announce that The Revd Martin Fletcher, currently serving as Vicar of Hersham in the Diocese of Guildford, has been appointed as Rector of the United Benefice of Richmond with Hudswell and Downholme and Marske in the Ripon Episcopal Area of the Diocese of Leeds. We pray for Martin as he prepares over the next few weeks and months to leave Hersham and for his congregation as they begin to start their vacancy process. A licensing date will be announced soon. Donate to Christian Aid this Christmas. A reminder: if you haven't yet given a donation to Christian Aid and would like to do so, please give your contribution to Graham Merlane, Anne Simpson, Judith Barber, verger or churchwarden. Copes is holding a concert at St. Mary’s with funds raised going to St. Mary’s Church. The programme will be Stravinsky’s ‘The


Rite of Spring’ in its entirety, followed by A jazz transcription of the entire work in the second half called ‘The Re (w)rite of Spring’. Refreshments will be served. All Welcome. Friday 19th January 7pm Agape Meal. As part of The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, which is from 18th-25th January, The Methodist Church are hosting a meal of Soup and Bread in their Church Hall. All are very welcome. There is no need to give advanced notice if you wish to attend. Sunday 21st January 4pm. Cafe Church is on - Alexe Roberts in conversation with Bishop John Pritchard - this promising to be an interesting afternoon of conversation, discussion, music, cake and closing with compline.
