We commend unto God’s merciful keeping those who have recently died, including Joyce Hall, Bob Addison and Mable (Pat) Maudsley. We pray that God will bring comfort to all who mourn their loss. Curate placement Antony will be on placement in the Parish of Swaledale with Arkengarthdale from 11th May to 16th June. Please hold him in your prayers. ****************************************** Joyce Kirby will be holding a Cake Stall after the 10.00am service today, Sunday 11th May. This is in aid of the Disability Access Toilet Fund. If you would like to place an order please contact Joyce on 01748 825604. ****************************************** Baptism Preparation will take place on Saturday, 13th June in Greyfriars Community Room. This is for anyone who is considering baptism for themselves, or a member of the family. Godparents are also encouraged to attend. Please see Rev John for more details. A Confirmation Service has been arranged for Sunday 23rd November. Preparation classes will commence in June. Anyone who would like more details please contact the Rector. DATES FOR DIARY 11th – 17th May, Christian Aid Week Christian Aid Collectors: your packs with envelopes are at the back of church near the Food Bank box. Please return them next Sunday if possible. It is not too late to volunteer; some streets are still not covered! If you do not receive an envelope through the door or it is not collected, there will be envelopes in church and a box to put them in next Sunday. Wednesday 14th May The Wednesday Study Group is restarting at 7.30pm – 9.00pm at 2 Hurgill Road. It will be meeting every Wednesday until the 16th July, excluding the 28th May. Wednesday 21st May St Mary’s Women’s Fellowship Sing Along-favourite hymns and music. All welcome. Saturday 24th May Bus Trip to Skipton. Please book your seat with Margaret Emmerson 01748 825381. Pick up Reeth Road 8.45am and Friary Gardens 9.00am. Friday 13th June The Friends of St Mary’s are holding a Social/Fundraising BBQ in aid of the Disability Access Toilet Fund. Weather permitting it will be in the rectory garden.
