The Parish of St Mary, Richmond with St Michael & All Angels Hudswell Sunday 11th November 2018. Remembrance Sunday We offer a warm welcome to any visitors who are here with us today. Please stay for refreshments after the service. This morning’s service is for everyone and if needed there is a children’s area at the back of church. Lord’s Prayer and Communion Cubes for children are available for anyone to use during the service. Please just ask if you would like to borrow one. There is an induction loop system in the church for those who would find it useful.

Saturday 17th November at Northcliffe, Gatherley Road, Brompton on Swale from 10.00am-4.00pm. Traidcraft Big Christmas Shopping Day. As well as the usual food products there will be Christmas confectionary, Advent Calendars, Christmas cards and crafts available. A stress free shopping experience where you can enjoy a cup of fair trade tea or coffee. Sunday 18th November at 4pm: Cafe Church, when we welcome Rt Revd Helen-Ann Hartley, Bishop of Ripon. A very relaxed afternoon with coffee, cake, conversation and Compline. All are welcome. Thursday 29th November from 10.00am, The Church Big Clean! Offers of help or for further information please contact Susan Scrafton on 824106. Saturday 1st December from 9.00am-12noon. Christian Aid Coffee morning in the Town Hall: Offers of help, cakes and gifts for a Lucky Dip to Judith Barber 01748 824656. Sunday 2nd December at 4.00pm Christingle Service at St Mary’s. A very special service raising funds for The Children’s Society. Each child will receive a Christingle orange which will be lit during the service. Sunday 2nd December ‘Christmas at Marrick.’ As usual there will be a bus at 6.15pm leaving from Nun’s Close car park, returning for about 9.45/10pm. The entertainment this year will be provided by Marske Choir, followed by a delicious supper. Tickets are £10 from Cathy Trewby or Judith Clarke; the cost of the bus is £4.


Saturday 8th December at 7.30pm. A Concert by the Richmondshire Choral Society, including music by Vaughan Williams and Morton Lauridsen. This concert is a contribution to the commemorations for the centenary of the Armistice on 11 November 1918. Adults £12 under 16’s free. Tickets available from Castle Hill Bookshop.
