BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE – Any names to be entered in this Book should be given to Ann McDonald (01748 823223) along with the date of death and a donation of £5 Christian Aid Week: Many thanks to all who collected, counted and contributed. The total amount raised by St Mary's collectors is £1631 - well done everyone! A good proportion Gift-aided their donation which will raise this total even more. The collection for Water Aid, June’s charity of the month, raised a total of £360.47. This includes £186.66 collected at the Reader Licencing Service last Sunday evening. The Queen’s 90th Birthday will be celebrated in St Mary’s today with a special sung Evensong when our church choir will be augmented by singers from local choirs.


Come and join Reeth Brass Band for a summer concert followed by a splendid afternoon tea, this Saturday 18th June. We would prefer tickets (£6) to be bought in advance to help with catering but it is also possible to pay at the door. St Mary’s Mothers’ Union. Church Flowers – There are still gaps in the rota for this year. Please speak to Julia Mole on 850550, or robertsonmole@gmail.com. Please do not feel that you have to spend extravagantly on the flowers as help is always available. Sunday 12th June The Queen’s Birthday Bash at the Bolton Arms, Downholme from 3.00pm. Proceeds towards St Michael and All Angels Downholme and Yorkshire Cancer Trust. Sunday 12th June 6.30pm A special Choral Evensong at St Mary’s to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday. Wednesday 15th June at 2.00pm Richmond Women’s Fellowship meet in the Town Hall for a Demonstration of Water Colour Painting by Mrs Margaret Raw. All are welcome. Saturday 18th June 3.00pm in St Mary’s Church. A Concert by Reeth Brass Band followed by Afternoon Tea, presented by St Mary’s Mothers’ Union. Tickets £6, available from Susan Scrafton or MU members. Sunday 19th June Free to Be at St Mary’s at 6.30pm. A contemplative worship event which gives space to think, pray, awaken the senses and simply be with God. Thursday 23rd June 7.00pm Palestinian Dance Troupe visits Harrogate: Baqoun are a talented Christian Palestinian Dance Troupe who are visiting UK in June under the auspices of the Diocese of West Yorkshire and the Dales. They will be performing at Christ Church, Harrogate. Tickets £10 including a light Palestinianstyle supper can be bought on line; Anne Simpson is willing to do
