BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE – Any names to be entered in this Book should be given to Ann McDonald (01748 823223) along with the date of death and a donation of £5 The Return of the Oxford Gargoyles Following last year's successful concert, the Oxford Gargoyles will be performing again at St. Mary's on Monday 3rd August at 7.00pm. This year, they are supporting the Bell Tower Restoration Appeal. Tickets are £10 for adults and £5 for under-19s, to include refreshments and a glass of wine.

Don’t miss the chance to see your Curate and friends providing the entertainment at the Friends of St. Mary’s BBQ this Friday!

Many thanks to all who helped or attended the coffee morning on Thursday 2nd July. £178 was raised for church funds.

Thanks also to all who supported the Mothers’ Union band concert and afternoon tea. £705 was raised in support of MU charities and funds.

Christian Aid Week Collection 2015 The total raised altogether by collectors from St Mary’s, St Francis Xavier, the Methodist Church and Hudswell was £4,005.29, up by nearly £900 on last year’s figure.

Of this, the amount raised by St Mary’s collectors was £1,750.25 (£1,589.26 + Gift Aid of £160.99) up by £315.00 on last year’s figure.

This is excellent and thank you to everyone who collected. We could not have done it without you!

Friday 17th July The Friends of St Mary’s Barbeque in church. Food is available from 7.00pm onwards. Prices remain the same as last year £5, for adults and £3 for primary age children. Juice will be available but please bring any other drink and a glass to drink it from. We have put a list at the back of church and if anyone feels able to provide an item from the list we would be most grateful. (Expenses provided) Tickets are available from any committee member.

Sunday 19th July Christians Together in Richmond, Picnic in the Park 1.00pm-4.00pm. Best dressed teddy competition. Please bring your own picnic.

Thursday 23rd July from 6.30pm. A Mothers’ Union Members’ evening at Leeming Lodge. This is an opportunity to share some of the stories from the past 130 years, as the MU in the Diocese of Ripon and Leeds comes to a close. Please see Liz Chambers or Margaret Clayson if you would like a lift.

Saturday 1st August The Big Clean This is your chance to shin up a ladder and get rid of all those cobwebs. Cleaning on the upper part of the church will take place from 9.30am-10.30am and for the less adventurous, pew and brass polishing will start from 10.30 onwards. Drink and refreshments will be provided during the morning and please bring food to share for lunch.
