The choir have been sorting through the vestry music and have 130 sets of old choral music to be scrapped. Before they do this, if anyone thinks they might be interested in having any of this music then please see William Gedye who has the list. Sunday 21st February 6.30pm Free to Be at St Mary’s Church. Everyone is warmly welcomed to this contemplative worship event which gives space to think, pray awaken the senses and simply be with God. There will be a simple Eucharist at the end of the evening.
Wednesday 24th February 2.00pm Mothers’ Union AGM at the Rectory. Tuesday 1st March 7.00pm in the Methodist Church Hall. Christians Together in Richmond AGM, a short ‘business’ meeting, followed by cups of tea and fellowship. Friday 4th March Women’s World Day of Prayer. The service will be held this year at the Roman Catholic Church at 1.30pm. The Cuban WDP national committee have written the service this year and the theme is: Receive children. Receive me. At our service children from St Mary’s RC Primary school and also SFX will be taking part. Please support them. Saturday 5th March 10.00am at the Rokeby Inn Exploring Faith with Bishop Nick Baines. More details to follow. Saturday 5th March 7.00pm Concert by the Band of the West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service supporting The Friends of Garget Walker House and RCVA.
