We commend unto God’s merciful keeping those who have recently died including Donald Turner. We pray that God will bring comfort to all who mourn their loss. BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE – Any names to be entered in this Book should be given to Ann McDonald (01748 823223) along with the date of death and a donation of £5 Your help would be most welcome, if you are able, in decorating the church on Thursday 22 December from 10.00am. If you have greenery in your garden or flowers that you can contribute it would be most appreciated. All are welcome you don't have to be an expert and claim your reward of tea and cake! Christian Aid Christmas card greetings. If you would like to donate to Christian Aid this Christmas there will be a poster at the back of church on which to put your Christmas greetings to friends in the congregation. The money you would have spent on cards can then be given to Graham Merlane, Anne Simpson or Judith Barber who will send it to Christian Aid on your behalf. A reminder also that the Christian Aid Coffee Morning is fast approaching – it is on Saturday 21st January. Please keep any unwanted gifts to put into a lucky dip!

DATES FOR THE DIARY Thursday 22nd December 7.30pm Carols and Barrels at The George and Dragon, Hudswell. Everyone welcome to this fun, sing along evening of Carols and Christmas Favourites. Friday 23rd December 7.00pm The Company of Mercers, Grocers and Haberdashers and the Fellmongers Carol Service followed by mince pies and mulled wine. All welcome Wednesday 18th January 7.00pm Christians Together In Richmond Agape Meal to be held in the Roman Catholic Church Hall.


Thursday 19th January 12.00pm First Thursday Prayers are being held on this date as it is the week of Christian Unity. Monday 23rd January 7.30pm at the Rectory Young People’s Meeting. Open to all interested in the development of children and youth activities and worship. Tuesday 31st January 2.00pm the Mothers’ Union Christmas party in the Methodist Church Hall. Please note it is not at Greyfriars as stated in the magazine. Friday 9th June – Sunday 18th June St Mary’s Flower Festival.
