PRAYER REQUESTS Please pray for: Those mentioned in the Daily Prayer Calendar in the magazine. All those in particular need of God’s comfort and healing, including, Liz Atkinson, George Bell, Harry Bell, Mary Hartnell, Brian Heap, Jennifer Jackson, Becky McNamara, Jennifer Mole, Cameron Murray, Joyce Robertson, Doreen and John Rucroft, John Willis and all the patients at the Friary Hospital. We commend unto God’s merciful keeping those who have recently died including Martin Braithwaite and Julie Jeff. We pray that God will bring comfort to all who mourn their loss. If your situation has changed and you no longer wish to provide this service, or if you feel that this is a service which you could help with please could you contact Gillian on 07592016476. Additional drivers will be most welcome! Childcare wanted. Our Musical director, Chris Denton, is often required to play for occasional services, funerals and weddings etc. He would be grateful for any offers of help looking after his young son Chad during the short time he is playing. Fun-Key Church is next Sunday at 4pm with refreshments and activities from 3.40pm. Viewing The Wedding at Cana through hymns, activities, a quiet place, and so much more. We are looking forward to an afternoon of fun, faith and fellowship for all ages. Gillian 07592016476 Bible Study group at the Lunns will be held on Wednesday January 25th and February 8th and 15th as usual. There will be no study group on Wednesday 1st February. Deanery Synod - February 6th The next Synod is a celebration of who we are. This is an opportunity to see many of the exciting things happening in our Deanery and is an open meeting to which everyone is invited. Included on the agenda is a presentation on Marrick Priory. I look forward to seeing you there at Colburn Church Hall 7:00pm refreshments and 7:15pm start. Please let me know if you need a lift. Canon John Claire will be collating the Annual Reports for the parish in readiness for the APCM which is being held in St. Mary's at 11.30 on 26th March 2017. Please could you let her have the reports for the various groups and committees you are responsible for, no later than Monday 6th February, so that they can be published in the parish magazine prior the annual meeting. Sunday 29th January the Traidcraft Stall will be in Church selling Fairtrade goods, after the morning service. Tuesday 31st January 2.00pm the Mothers’ Union Christmas party in the Methodist Church Hall. Entertainment by Tony and Freda Dykes. Everyone welcome. Subs are now due for all members. Tuesday 7th February 10.30am at Greyfriars After the Cards and Visitors. Contact Carrie on 850103 for more information. Tuesday 7th February 3.30pm in the Methodist Church. The first planning meeting to prepare for Women’s World Day of Prayer which is being celebrated on Friday 3rd March. Friday 9th June – Sunday 18th June St Mary’s Flower Festival.
