BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE – Any names to be entered in this Book should be given to Ann McDonald (01748 823223) along with the date of death and a donation of £5 FLOWER GUILD - Do you think you could organise the rota for the Flower Guild and help people come together to decorate the church for major celebrations? If so, Roy Morrell would be delighted to speak to you. All that is needed is some enthusiasm, for there is a group of willing helpers already in place. Our Lenten journey begins on 10th February this year. There will be a service of Holy Communion at 9:15 am and 7.30 pm on that day, which is Ash Wednesday. We then have Churches Together in Richmond Lent home groups you can join called “Psalms – prayers for today’s church”, commencing w/c 15th February. This is described as an ecumenical course in five sessions written by Bishop Stephen Cottrell. Session Session Session Session Session

Church Security – Due to recent acts of vandalism, we have been advised by the police to keep the church building locked for the foreseeable future. If you require access please contact one of the key holders. Thank you to everyone who helped in any way, at very short notice, at the PCC coffee morning. The next PCC coffee morning will be the 28th July. Fun-Key Church @ St Mary's is next Sunday 31st January at 4pm, with refreshments from 3.40pm. Our theme is Candlemas when we will be looking at how Jesus is the light of the world. We will be looking at what that means and the different purposes of lights. We have crafts and activities, prayers, hymns, space to think, and so much more. We look forward to welcoming friends old and new. Fun, faith and fellowship for all ages. Father Henry Wansbrough, speaking on the subject 'How much do we know what Jesus said?' - Fr. Henry, who is based at Ampleforth, is a distinguished theologian who was appointed by the Pope to the Anglican/Roman Catholic commission set up to improve relations between the two churches. He is in great demand as a speaker being witty and comprehensible! Sunday 7th February 6.30pm Illuminate’s 1st Anniversary Friday 4th March Women’s World Day of Prayer. The service will be held this year at the Roman Catholic Church at 1.30pm. Saturday 5th March 10.00am at the Rokeby Inn Exploring Faith with Bishop Nick Baines.
