We offer a warm welcome to any visitors who are here with us today. Please stay for refreshments after the service. This morning’s service is for everyone and if needed there is a children’s area at the back of church. Lord’s Prayer and Communion Cubes for children are available for anyone to use during the service. Please just ask if you would like to borrow one. There is an induction loop system in the church for those who would find it useful.

Charity or the Month. The collection next Sunday is for Playgrounds for Palestine UK. A non-political charity who believe that children have the right to play, irrespective of where they live and helps to deter children from playing in unsafe areas.

PRAYER REQUESTS Please pray for: Those mentioned in the Daily Prayer Calendar in the magazine. All those in particular need of God’s comfort and healing, including, Bill Abbott, Liz Atkinson, Harry Bell, Michelle Emptage, Eilidh Hallett, Mary Hartnell, Doreen Hooton, Stephen Lambert, Harriet Ridley, Don Wade, Carole Ward, Josh Winch, Christopher White and all the patients at the Friary Hospital. We commend unto God’s merciful keeping those who have recently died. We pray that God will bring comfort to all who mourn their loss including Geoffrey Peacock. BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE – Any names to be entered in this Book should be given to Alexe Roberts (01609 881 216) along with the date of death and a donation of £5. The New St. Mary’s mugs are now on sale at the back of church raising money for church funds. They are priced at £6. Please buy one or two for yourself or to give as a lovely gift. The Fun-Key Church Pet Service is today at 4pm. There will be crafts, hymns, activities, "meet the pets", and all animals will receive a blessing and a certificate to say they've been. There will also be refreshments from the MU team. If you've don't have a pet do still come and enjoy the fun. Tell your friends and neighbours. All are welcome.


‘St Mary’s Got Talent’ is fast approaching! Please book the date – Saturday 14th July at 7pm. Doors will open at 6:30pm and payment is at the door. Tickets will include cake and wine, and the price will be £7 for an adult and £2 for under 18s whether you’re performing or not! Lifts can be arranged. Let’s raise lots of money for St Mary’s and have a great time! There are notices now on the cupboard doors at the back of church for performers to firm up what they are doing. Please check these if you think you might have volunteered! There is also a list of people who have agreed to have their picture taken to be shown on the screen during the talent evening. Again, please check this, and add your name if you’d like to be included. We have a wonderful line up of talented people ready to perform, and they deserve the biggest audience we can give them. It will be a lot of fun, and hopefully an evening to cherish.

DATES FOR THE DIARY Tuesday 26th June at 2 pm. The Mothers Union meet at the home of Margaret Clayson, 12 Green Howards Road the speaker will be our Rector Martin, all are welcome. Thursday 28th June from 3.30pm-5pm. Invitation to meet Bishop Helen-Ann at Colburn Church Hall – Refreshments available. Including Q&A’s. All welcome.

Saturday 30th June at 3pm. Reeth Brass Band Concert followed by Afternoon Tea in St. Mary’s Church. This is the Mothers Union annual fundraiser. Tickets at £6.50 are available from members, children under eleven free. All are welcome. Any queries please contact Susan Scrafton, 824106


Saturday 25th August. There will be a Plant and Produce Sale at St Mary’s. Anyone with spare plant pots or empty jam jars could you please leave in box at back of church, likewise anyone who has spare plants or would like to make jams, jellies or chutneys for the sale please take as needed.
