WANTED! Able-bodied men and women to help with removal and installation of the new Saint Mary's bells in March and April 2017. As part of our contract with the bell founders we have agreed to make available at least two assistants at any one time to help the professional bellhangers during the removal of the old bells and installation of the new. The work will involve light duties but with some lifting and stair climbing. The volunteers will be fully supervised and insured by Taylors. Providing local assistance saves us £9000, gives us a feeling of belonging to the project and is normal practice for most bell projects.
