Today is Fun-Key Church when we will be looking at "Living Lent".

Refreshments will be available from 3.40pm and our service will begin at 4pm. We have hymns, readings, crafts, a bit of biscuit decorating, and a quiet space too as we journey together through Lent. This is very relaxed fun, faith and fellowship for all ages. Gillian 07592016476

This year St Mary’s Mothers’ Union are sending money as part of the Make a Mother’s Day appeal, to the charity Practical Action, based in Rugby. The example they give: "Orpita Shagata was born into poverty living close to the river in Shingia, Bangladesh, her life has been defined by the devastation that floods wreak on her community. When the floods come her family`s food, clothing even their home and any means they had of making a living can be washed away.

The solution is a floating farm just £24-40 could pay for two floating vegetable beds, so that a family like Orpita’s can eat all year round. If her children can eat she can focus her energy on rebuilding their lives after the flood and will be able to sell any surplus and buy hens for eggs some lucky enough to own a goat tether them on the floating farms."

Please place these in a separate envelope clearly marked with the name of the sender and what the payment is for. This applies to collectors as well as individual payments The collection next Sunday will be for The Church Army who are dedicated to transforming lives and communities through the work of evangelists, staff and supporters across the British Isles. They share the Christian faith through words and action in a variety of contexts – working with young and old, with homeless people and addicts, through chaplaincy and churches.

Come and join us for a Spring Concert at St Mary's Church, led by The Station Singers, presented by St John's Community Centre Catterick and Richmond Ladies Lifeboat Guild. On Saturday 19th March 2016 at 7.30pm, doors open at 7pm. Tickets cost £8 (£10 on the door) and will include refreshments, children free but must have a ticket. DATES FOR THE DIARY Tuesday 1st March 7.00pm in the Methodist Church Hall. Christians Together in Richmond AGM, a short ‘business’ meeting, followed by cups of tea and fellowship.

Friday 4th March Women’s World Day of Prayer. The service will be held this year at the Roman Catholic Church at 1.30pm. The Cuban WDP national committee have written the service this year and the theme is: Receive children. Receive me. At our service children from St Mary’s RC Primary school and also SFX will be taking part. Please support them.

Saturday 5th March 10.00am at the Rokeby Inn, opposite the Hutton Magna turn off on the A66. Exploring Faith with Bishop Nick Baines: ‘Defenders of the Faith.’ There is a charge of £5 to cover the cost of breakfast.
