As ever, there will be something for all ages, including crafts, activities, a quiet space, a short talk, prayers and hymns. This is very relaxed and informal worship. After the cards and visitors Bereavement is a very difficult time for the spouse/partner left behind. Starting again on your own is even more difficult. Carrie and Anne will be meeting in the Greyfriars Restaurant for coffee and a chat on Tuesday 2nd August at 10.30 and would really like it if you could join them. The Charity of the Month collection next Sunday (Aug 7th) will be for World Vision. World Vision works alongside communities in nearly 100 countries to improve children’s lives by focusing on child protection, child health and emergency response. Christian Aid Coffee Morning Saturday 13th August. St Mary's slot is 10.30-12.00 (other churches take the earlier slots). Items are needed for the baking and produce stall, tombola and raffle prizes and helpers for our slot please. Please bring what you can to church next Sunday or give to Anne or Judith Barber. The Oxford Gargoyles return to Richmond The Oxford Gargoyles, en route to the Edinburgh Fringe, will be performing at Richmond School on Saturday 13 August at 7pm. Tickets are available from Castle Hill bookshop or online at www.theoxfordgargoyles.com/tickets Everyone is invited by the Dean to a special choral evensong service at Ripon Cathedral on Sunday 11th September at which Rev John is to be installed as an Honorary Canon of the Cathedral. The service begins at 3.30pm and there is to be refreshments afterwards. We have been asked to provide numbers of those attending by the end of August. There is a list at the back of the church. Please add your name if you would like to be part of this special occasion. We are investigating the possibility of arranging a coach to take us there and back. Full details to follow.
