Christian Aid Week 10-16 May Collectors Needed

At the back of church there is a list of streets to be covered by collectors from St Mary’s Church. Please put your name beside the street or streets you are able to collect from and you will be provided with everything you need by Sunday 10 th May. Let us try to exceed last year’s total! Bell Restoration Appeal Monday May 4th bank holiday: Tower tours and teddy bear parachuting. 10.00am – 4.00pm. Saint Mary's. In aid of the Bell Restoration Appeal. Refreshments provided. Bring your teddy. There will also be a book stall and raffle. To all who have kindly offered to bake cakes for the Bell Appeal Cafe please bring them to church from 9.30am onwards on Monday 4th May. If you are able to help during the day please see Margaret Clayson after the 8.00am service or Susan Scrafton after 10.00am. After the Cards and Visitors Bereavement is a very difficult time for the spouse/partner left behind. Starting again on your own is even more difficult. If you feel you would like to, please join Carrie and Anne for coffee and a chat at Greyfriars, Tuesday 5th May 10.30am. Contact Carrie on 850103 for more information. Nepal Earthquake Nepal has suffered its worst earthquake in decades. As a church with local connections to Nepal we want to support the aid appeal. Please give generously in the buckets at the end of the service. Friends of The Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin A reminder that Membership is open to all those whose names appear on the Electoral Roll. The Objects of the Association are to co-operate with the PCC in the preservation and adornment of the Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin and by assisting with the general upkeep and maintenance of the Parish Church, its activities and services, its ornaments, furnishings and its work, the Association seeks to bind together in common fellowship all those who love the Parish Church.
