expansion of an existing middle school in Futian
This project is the result of a competition. We win the first prize and the developing phase is on going at the moment. The project is the expansion and connection to an old and not anymore reponding to the school needs. The main carachteristic of the new campus is the integration between fidderent spaces for the students allowing them to have proper spaces for individual study, group works and big meetings. All these moments respond to the growth and the development of young students and all these moments have been incorporated in the design of the school.

The project site is located at the north side of the intersection of Xin'an First Road and Fanshen Boulevard, Bao'an District, Shenzhen, close to the Bao'an Central District and Qianhai Cooperation Zone, close to the main axis of Baoan District and on the green axis of the Qianhai landscape. The perfect geographical position along the city axis allow the building to become the new icon of this area. Without a doubt, a building of this size affects the community next to it. Unlike the general urban archives, the Baoan Archives is located the densely populated residential areas of the city. As ’the good neighbour' therefore, its design encourages active interaction and those values which make a neighbourhood enjoyable. In addition to satisfying its own basic functions, the archives acts as the hub of this area, integrating broken urban resources and creating high-quality public spaces.
The long and narrow land choosen as a competition site is both a restriction and an opportunity. It provides sufficient public interface facing the city and has the opportunity to create a rich urban public space, which is connected with the water corridor to form a whole urban park. So we decided to develop a 3d park digging holes at the ground floor giving direct connection to the B1 floor. This solutions is also adopted to obtain climate advantages for the underground areas. The spaces at this level are constantly in the shadow, giving the interior spaces a cooler temperature.
This situation is increased by the use of the vegetation creating underground gardens that bring in this way not only climatic advantages but also psycological ones.

Office tower / Commercial podium / Cultural and Exhibition center
Futian District's urban central axis from north to south is connected in series with nodes of vital importance (civic center, exhibition center ...) from north to south. The project site is just at the end of this axis. It is located in the core of the bonded area and forms a coninuous space together with the park on the east side of the site. We propose to develop our project and the future city starting from the landscape, easing the tension between the expansion of high-density cities and limited natural resources, shaping an urban space with regional characteristics integrating the landscape of urban elements such as offices, exhibition spaces, commercial areas, public transportation infrastructure, parks, etc. in a single building. The park is the "LAND" and the building is our "MARK". The park extends vertically into a large green roof, fully integrating the building and landscape. As a result, the new entrance door of the area is jointly constructed by the two. A new LANDMARK.

The project started focusing on the concept of memory. The memory of a place that always survive to time and changes. The memory here, for us, was embodied by the “palace” and the lake. And for that reason we decided to preserve them and build around them the new project. The palace as a new modern center, axis pointing on the palace from different directions to highlight its centrality. Around it a new park cover the building and allow the people to experiment the area in different ways and through different levels, at different heights. To complete the project, the requalification of the Buji river, a new attractive pole in the area, where people will go to have a walk, to enjoy the free time, to relax, to have a ride with their bike, to meet their friends. A piece of Shenzhen, giving back to shenzhener.

The project is located in the strategic emerging industry headquarters of Xili Liuxiandong, Nanshan District, Shenzhen. The program includes the main office tower and a complementary building with shops and open spaces for the community. It also includes a bus stop at ground level and underground park.
The project develops through a spiral space and endless green vine to connect the 16 vertical companies. Trying to create a climbing forest that integrates work, life and nature experiences. A vertically interconnected community where multiple businesses converge and are connected to the city.

The project is the integration of a wider residential development plot. Like mahjong or domino tiles the building show itself from the top. A combination of spaces and discovery from the ground floor to the roof. The classroom boxes are lifted from the floor and clearly identified from the outside also using a different material from the office and service buildings. The cuts between the different blocks let the air flow inside breaking the massive volume of the building. The color as leading element of the project. On the ceiling at the ground floor higlights the square / playground where the kids can start their trip inside the kindergarden. Big colofrul letters stimulate the sense of connection between the kids and their classrooms. Graphic elements on the walls and on the ceiling make the environment mor fun and easily recognizable.
The main entrance lead you inside the school. On the right the big square / playground on the left the entrance leading to the office. The kindergarden atmosphere start here to unveil itself with colorful graphic elements on the floor and on the glass surfaces..

These are the questions we started from. Trying to create a different experience in a mixed use program including retail (for the biggest part), cultural and residential. Connecting the three block in a continuous flow from the city environment to the river wher a panoramic round is waiting for me integrated with the park and the riverscape.

The project is located in the center of the region. The building in the future will serve as the core hub of the entire region, in connection with the surrounding government agencies to achieve overall linkage and efficient operation.
The east-west direction of the site is relatively flat, and the north-south height difference is large. The internal height difference is about 5m, and the northwest sides are close to the mountain. Intensive land use, control of land occupation, compact layout and development of the open spaces in the park are the key point of this police campus, including a jail building.

In the recent years, domestic travel spending has been increased due to the rise in the standard of living. Accordingly, travellers demands have been stimulated, as part of the strategic development, Guangdong-HK-Macao greater bay area has been the center of transport infrastructure development, such as transcontinental railway, cross-sea bridge and public road system. The island we worked on is located at the southern part of the greater bay area,and it will be anideal place fortravelling and other various activities. The projects, articulated in different temporal phases is composed by detached villas and an hotel complex. The villas are divided in three different typologies, according to their position on the island. The villas are arranged following the descending landscape and have all undisrupted view towards the pacific ocean. All the villas have private swimming pool and garden. The hotel insteadisamassive16.000sqmlocatedontopofthehill,dominatingthe bay and formed from different blocks weaving each other.

Lidea alla base del progetto prevede una forte rete di connessioni esterne ed interne, che accompagna le persone allinterno dellarea di progetto. La costruzione di un asse centrale identificato dalla casa per anziani e dalle abitazioni a misura di anziano e del suo perpendicolare, inserendoil polivalentetralascuolaelementareelascuolaperlinfanzia, crea delle visuali che rimandano allo spazio verde centrale, filo conduttore del progetto.
Questapproccio ci ha permesso di realizzare strade carrabili sul perimetroesterno,delimitatedaedificicheproteggonoilcuoreverdedel progetto, ove si avrà una mobilità prevalentemente ciclo/pedonale. Abbiamo considerato il verde come una potenzialità per assolvere alla richiesta di uno spazio intergenerazionale accogliendo al suo interno aree ludiche e di socializzazione protette che uniscono tutti gli edifici presenti.
Grazie al disegno del parco è stato possibile evidenziare laccesso principale ai vari volumi che costituiscono il masterplan e quelli secondari, comunque fruibili da tutte le utenze. Gli accessi sono stati posizionati pensando alle diverse altimetrie del terreno, limitando lo sbancamento nella parte a verde, mantenendo lattuale conformazione del terreno e collegando i percorsi esterni con quelli interni. Leunitàabitativeamisuradianzianosonopartedellimpiantograzie alla rotazione in pianta delledificio, e rivolgono lingresso verso lasse centrale e latrio della casa per anziani, integrandosi nello spazio centrale.

The project consist on the realization of 240.000 sqm of residential, retail and hospitality structures with special attention to the laisure activities located inthe basement. The multifunctional complex is locatedin oneof the most vivid areas in Shanghai with grat commercial activities and shoppingmalls,aprivate and exclusiveresidential area and apedestrian distric with offices and entertainment places. To keep a strong connection with the street and the neighbourhood the project is strongly defined by an horizontal volume containing commercial and recreative activities, among them a movie theatre, exhibition halls, a public theatre and a covered open plaza with restaurants and coffee shops. The transparent base is a connection between the three towers, granting a easy to find main entrance. The three towers, that are different for lenght and height, contain different functions and are characterized at the top floor with special services as a Spa-Terrace for the residential units, a panoramic view point for the offices and a swimming pool for the hotel.
The environmental sustainability is a key aspect of the project, energy and water are managed in a very efficent way. For example glasses and curtainwall allow to reduce the need of artificial lights. Natural ventilation will be another important issue to achieve in this project.

Runway è un concept store Fashion e Life Style, è il multibrand leader in Vietnam.
Il Rex Hotel, costruito 1927 al tempo del colonialismo francese, divenuto famoso durante la guerra del Vietnam per essere la sede del comando americano e di molti corrispondenti di guerra, è la sede dellintervento. Lintervento segue glia ltri negozzi Runway realizzati per Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.Il nuovo store Runway è una sorta di casa nella casa, usando contrasti per creare spazi differenti allinterno di altri spazi. Una sequenza di stanze, definita da archi ornamentali, pannelli decorativi in gesso sulle pareti e sui soffitti con diversi temi basati sulla tradizione vietnamita. Il progetto evoca lincontro tra due mondi, uno di rigore architettonico e geometrico, laltro che riprende la cultura vietnamita con le sue influenze francesi. I bianchi spazi sono interrotti da una rigorosa struttura metallica che crea nuovi spazi e volumi interni alledificio esistente. Una serie di pali e ripiani in ottone lucido definiscono lo spazio. Per una buona architettura (almeno secondo noi)
1) Siamo critici verso larchitettura verticale, massiccia, compatta, monolitica e predeterminata. Siamo convinti che una serie di spazi in sequenza che progressivamente solidificandosi sfumano nel paesaggio aprendosi verso il parco meglio si abbinino al contesto circostante. Nuovi percorsi ciclopedonali semi urbani si articolano allinterno del lotto a differenti quote diventando al tempo stesso spazio comune destinato ai residenti e percorso di distribuzione nelle unità abitative.
2) Siamo a favore dello spazio pubblico come luogo di relazione (gli spazi pubblici come aree di scambio, sia fisico che simbolico, tra il nuovo insediamento e la comunità che lo abiterà). La progettazione degli spazi aperti garantisce continuità paesaggistica, in modo da graduare i diversi livellidiappartenenzaalluogo- dalpubblicoalprivatoeviceversa-senza mai creare delle vere e proprie barriere.
3) Difendiamo e promuoviamo gli spazi di vicinato: spazi verdi, spazi ludici, spazi di attività per gli adulti, permeabilità pedonale agli edifici e percorsi pedonali sono progettati affinché si moltiplichino le possibilità dincontro e di relazione allinterno dellintervento.
4) Proponiamo linserimento di funzioni integrative allabitare aperte anche al vicinato: un locale polifunzionale che funga da luogo di incontro e per trascorrere il tempo libero; una serie di servizi collaborativi che incentivino lincontro tra gli abitanti tramite il lavoro condiviso per prendersi cura degli spazi comuni (Fai da Te); una palestra, un luogo abituale per allenarsi in tranquillità, evitando spostamenti e traffico, ottimizzando il tempo a disposizione e aumentando le possibilità di socializzazione; servizi complementari quali depositi condivisi, lavanderia, aree di co-working, bar/caffetteria e una serra idroponica.
5)Condividiamocon gli EtruschiediRomanilamagliaquadrata. Amiamo la griglia da 4x4 metri, lelemento generatore del progetto. Ambienti interni, vani scala/ascensori, aree di ingresso e terrazze si sviluppano a partire da questo modulo. Le innumerevoli possibilità aggregative permettono di rispondere con semplicità e rapidità alle richieste delle diverse tipologie di alloggio diversificando tra loro tagli di metratura simile.
6) Crediamo nella flessibilità come valore aggiunto: laggiornamento tecnologico delledificio nel corso del tempo, poter intervenire sugli impianti agevolmente e tempestivamente, anche per le manutenzioni ordinarie; lottimizzazione strutturale al fine di ridurre i vincoli distributivi; la possibilitàdisperimentareneglispaziinternie neiservizi. Vivaladattabilità degli spazi.
7) Siamo convinti che tutti gli alloggi debbano avere la possibilità di espansione verso lesterno attraverso terrazze verdi o giardini orizzontali e verticali. Le terrazze su diversi livelli e i giardini al piano terra possono essere utilizzati e sfruttati in vari modi (piccoli orti, spazi di relax, giardini dinverno o serre).
8) Vogliamo fortemente che gli ingressi di ogni singola scala diventino il luogo in cui ci si può fermare a chiacchierare, dove è possibile avere una bacheca, dove i bambini possono lasciare degli oggetti, vogliamo un luogo vivace e non solo di transito.
9) Promuoviamo caldamente un sistema costruttivo a supporto della flessibilità: la scelta dei materialie delle tecnologie da adottare tiene conto di alcuni parametri fondamentali: costi, facilità di applicazione, prestazione, manutenzione, gradevolezza e resistenza sociale del manufatto.
10)Confidiamo nel fatto che minimizzareiconsumi energeticidelledificio, producendo un ambiente costruito di qualità, accogliente e gestito in modo efficace e con costi contenuti sia la base per ogni buon progetto.

Xiang River Tower is a kind of mixed-use project, integrating offices, residential units, hotel and commercial spaces. The project is in Changsha, Hunan. The building will be developed along the Xiang river, in an area closed to the city center with the possibility to become a new landmark for the city and an elegant presence in the city skyline.
The idea of the project is simple: just adding different boxes one on top of the other containing different part of the program. Luxury residences are in the upper half part while the lower part is left for the hotel and the offices.
On top floors we will find also recreative areas and services for the residences, among them a Spa, a swimming pool, a belvedere pavillion. The lower floors will contain different recreational spaces creating an internal extension of the public square and a big public park. The atrium, the main entrance, the heart of the project became the main distribution point of the whole building creating a relational and social space for the different users and visitors of the building.

'Sarpi Project' è una proposta che nasce dallo studio del quartiere Sarpi-Canonica, denominato Chinatown, incentrata sulle caratteristiche tradizionalmente commerciali dell'area e sulle possibili variazioni correttive (architettoniche e non) dell'intero comparto. La zona, oggi fortemente degradata in particolare a causa del commercio all'ingrosso, è una reale occasione per questo territorio della città di poter rigenerarsi, attraversoun ridisegnodialcuni isolati cheoffrano spazidariconsegnare alla collettività. Il Masterplan comprende 5 aree d'intervento, per un'area complessiva da riqualificare di 110.000m², interessando le aree dismesse e il tessuto esistente e denso. La proposta progettuale coinvolge in particoalre larea ex Enel, larea del Cimitero Monumentale, larea Montello, larea Pasubio-Crispi.

The project area is located in Milan, in a central area, near Porta Genova railway station. The site was characterized by the presence of a great number of industries that have been disused and replaced by space for servicesandresidences.Ithasbeenalreadytenyearsfromthestartofthe transformation of the area, called Zona Tortona, led by many events link to fashion and design.
The interventionconsistsin the conservationandrequalificationofdifferent parts of the existing building.
Theprojectchangetheoriginal buildinginthe3dimensions:length,height and depth.
In the plan a new surface is added on the short edge, designed to accommodate all the services (stairs, elevator, bath, terraces) and on the other part all the partitions are demolished leaving an open space in each level.
The facades present a game of full andempty, highlighted by the contrast ofthematerial andthe colours. The idea isto give shape toanew building with a strong character, that could become a point of reference for all the area.
The dialogue between architecture and advanced technologies was essential to give the project a high level of sustainability Through compact design, the consequent little dispersion and the use of natural ventilation for the thermohygrometric comfort, the building reaches quickly a good energy efficiency and represent a good example of sustainable architecture for its energetic qualities and for the benefit offered to its users.

The intervention focuses on the visibility of businesses on the ground floor and the habitability of the apartments equipped with terraces and balconies. These private outdoor spaces completely redesign the shape of buildings, defining the quality and livability of the town. Each apartment will be equippedwithnewopenspaces, understood asthe availability of balconies andterraces,whichdo notcorrespond toawasteofurbanareaandarecoveredbyonlyahighqualityarchitectural and commercial opportunities.
The existing structure of the building allows you to work expanding theexistingwallopeningsandthusincreasetherelationshipbetween the interior space of housing and the outer space of terraces and balconies. The ability to relate with the outside improves the quality of all the internal pieces of home.
