Rip Van Wafels was founded in 2010 by Amsterdam native Rip Pruisken and Marco De Leon, both students at Brown University. They launched their business via Kickstarter, driven by the desire to create a healthier, lower-sugar alternative to the Dutch stroopwafel. The founders spent two years refining their product and marketing, even sleeping in a Volvo station wagon while delivering their wafels across the country. Their distribution grew, reaching outlets like Whole Foods and American Airlines. Named after the story of Rip Van Winkle, the company aims to bring about positive change. Today, Rip Van Wafels offers snacks that are low in sugar, high in fiber, non-GMO, and free from artificial flavors and colors.

With recent outbreaks of Avian Influenza (AI) impacting cage-free birds, Deb-El will be experiencing shortages of pasteurized, cage-free shell eggs over the next few weeks. These shortages will only impact the below Deb-El item. No other items, including all Deb-El liquid items, will be impacted by these shortages.
If you are currently in a state with cage-free laws, you will continue to receive cage-free shell eggs. All other states are likely to receive a non-cage-free substitute. Substitute items may be pasteurized and will vary by Distributor based on availability
