A MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD CHAIR AND CEO Founder
Dear Friends and Supporters of Girl Scouting: Our council is fortunate to have amazing volunteers and supporters who do all they can to help Girl Scouts Louisiana East thrive and succeed. When you volunteer your time or financially support a girl’s participation in Girl Scouts, you are setting her up for a bright future. Take pride in being a part of the best leadership experience in the world – one that unleashes the G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risktaker, Leader)™ in every girl, preparing her for a lifetime of leadership. For 105 years we have prioritized and focused on girls, providing them with an all-girl, girl-led, and girl-friendly space that empowers them to take the lead in all aspects of their lives. Whether it’s by exploring the outdoors, developing strong relationships with family and peers, advocating on behalf of others, protecting our environment, creating their own business, or examining careers that can truly change the world for the better, girls gain the skills and the inspiration to accept challenges, overcome obstacles, and take the lead. In Girl Scouts, girls find a safe haven — a girl-inclusive space where they’re free to be themselves. This safe space offered by Girl Scouts fosters collaboration and promotes support among girls, enabling them to stretch beyond their limits. Please take a moment to review highlights in our annual Report to the Community, along with our financial information and the names of those who support us and our mission financially. We appreciate all who partner with us to make a difference in the lives of girls. We are inspired by your dedication, and thank you for your renewed commitment to the girls of southeast Louisiana.
