THANK YOU.
With a generous sponsorship from Delta Dental, UAMS CHL successfully engaged healthcare professionals and students, public health practitioners, and the public. Those reached through Health Literacy Month programming gained a new or renewed sense of the value of health literacy interventions in improving health, enhancing patients’ experience, and reducing healthcare costs.Â
The 4th Annual #PlainPledge Challenge The #PlainPledge Challenge is a social media campaign designed to secure pledges from healthcare professionals and students to use

T.V. & Radio While many Health Literacy Month activities were designed to promote the importance of plain language and health literacy with healthcare professionals and students, CHL also wanted to empower patients to improve their health through
KARK Good Morning Arkansas where we shared with the public important steps in communicating with their doctors to get the most out of healthcare visits. The segment on THV11 is available online: http://www.thv11.com/news/health/learninghow-to-talk-to-your-doctor/482536349.
Clear patient-doctor communication tips were also shared via a featured question on the weekly show on KATV, Medicine with Moursi. The importance of patientdoctor communication as it relates to healthcare outcomes and costs were discussed on local public radio stations around the state.
