to each other, creating a main building. The commercial part was composed by a library and a bar on the first two floors, with a green area right outside: this new element was supposed
to give a great spin to the public area, creating in this way an internal court. The residential part and the atelier house had to be completely separated from each other, with a dif-
ferent access. This main difference creates a distinction between public and private residential area. The flats are designed starting with a kitchen/bathroom modu-

for the studio, developed on two floors with a mezzanine, with direct access to the internal court; with the same staircase it’s possible to reach the house, developed on one whole floor.

For the second workshop of my career, i joined the one held by Pr. Arch. Javier Corvalan. The main concept of the workshop was the “dark room” as a
construction with no light, in which is possible to see the reflection of the outside brought by light. The main theme of the workshop, meanwhile, was the
urban and environmental regeneration of Marghera. Our project contemplated on the total conversion of Marghera’s surface to green-wooded area

and bio coltures: a radical change of what Marghera had always been. The design project was about a complex system of piramidal building sas dark rooms, located in the woods.

We challenged ourselves in the design of a 10 km long building. prof. S. Irarrazaval The starting point of the project is the Monza racing track, which was positioned in the Marghera’s
industrial zone. The circuit was respectfully rectified, allowing the adaptation of the racing track to the new site, while ensuring that the new form coincides with
the historical logic: every fillet and parabolic recalls a name from the original Monza circuit. The track becomes the generator, symbol of both structure and land-
15
scape. The building is designed around a programmatic mix, which includes residential and production uses, such as the fishing industry. The structure is located near the island of Tresse, as a new
piece of land that is not afraid of dealing not with the pre-existings, creating in this the way a new visual relation with Venice. The new architectures that colonize the post-industrial space can-
have a traditional link with currently contaminated land.
