LieutenantRobinsonpraisedthepublicand GippslandCentremanagementfortheirresponse, commendingallinvolvedontheirdirectionduring theevacuation. “Theevacuationintheshoppingcentreworked verygood,and peoplewereindisposedforroughly 40minutes,”hesaid. ASH’smanagingdirector,VinceHurley,said plantationshininggumwas akeypillarinthe futureofMASSLAMproduction. “The investment willmeanthatASHcancontinue toproduceAustralian-made,large-scalesection columnsandbeams,”hesaid. Thefootball-netballgodsmustbepullingsome stringsbecauseafterwhatfeltlikeaneternityof never-endingrainand10-degreedays,Gippsland wasblessedwithcloudless,sunnydaysatthe weekend,withtemperatureshittingthe20s.Itwas theperfectweathertoenjoy acoldfrothyorsofty, apieorbucketofchipswhilewatchingtheNorth GippslandFootballNetballLeaguesemi-finals. ThelastinstalmentofSaturday/Sundayfinals startedatRosedale,withtheBluesonthecourt facingladderleadersWoodsideinthe AGrade netball. With Woodsidehavingonlylosttwogamesfor theentireseason,toRosedaleinRound13and CowwarrinRound17,Rosedale’scoachSarah Maymanknewitwouldbe atightmatch. Andtightitwas.
