Traveling and exploring new places as well as enjoying good food and wine with friends. Growing up, I thought about careers in law, medicine, psychiatry, teaching, engineering, business, you name it. In addition to the culinary arts, one of my greatest passions is traveling. I will be able to expand on this dream when I travel to Germany and Switzerland this summer with Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, and hopefully to Haiti on a mission trip with my church. From the three values included in the Girl Scout mission statement, which do you feel most passionate about and why? (Courage, Confidence, Character) I feel most passionate about Character. How someone thinks and acts says a great deal about who they are. A person's thoughts and beliefs drive what they say and do; what a person says doesn't prove nearly as much about who they are. People's actions show what they truly believe, no matter what they may say. This is very crucial to me; I greatly value honesty. Being true to yourself and others means truly letting your character show.

What do you want to do after high school? I plan to go to a four‐year college and major in either computer science or a specific major in computer science. I want to be a web designer, and my top choice for college is Georgia Tech.

With the help of these women, the girls will learn skills need to succeed in the workforce. What drives me to want to be in school is learning new things, I also want to have more than just a high school education, and I love seeing all my friends every day. For community activities, I like to give back to the people who have provided me with so much, and helping with the less fortunate and abused or homeless animals are main reason to want to help. My name is Katie Carr, and I have been a girl scout since 1st grade. I have dyslexia which makes it hard for me to write out my thoughts, have good grammar, and spell words correctly, to the point where not even spell check can tell what I'm trying to say. The schools that I went to K‐9th grade never really helped me with my learning disabilities. It was especially bad in elementary school, where I never got help with learning things, I was struggling with. We got outside help, and moved to a different school in 6th grade that I stayed at until 9th grade. It was a much better school, but the workload was more than necessary and I had no free time, so we changed schools again this year. I was also diagnosed with Anxiety this year, which makes social interactions hard. But despite these setbacks, I have always moved forward and done my best to succeed.

From the three values included in the Girl Scout mission statement, which do you feel most passionate about and why? (Courage, Confidence, Character) Character, because without character everyone would be the same, and morals are a very important thing to have, and it is important to be yourself. What drives you to be involved in school, community activities and/or Girl Scouts? I am driven by a desire to better myself and others. What do you want to do after high school? I want to go to College, and make comics in my free time. What I am most looking forward to at Camp CEO: I hope to learn more on how to succeed and how to sell myself and skills to others well.

Camp CEO Bio Janessa Davis

Being a young, teenage girl, I have had plenty of life learning experiences but one thing I know is that I still have much more to learn. I have had pivotal experiences in my life but the moment that changed for me was the first year of the school that have I attended the longest and still attend. My first year of The Galloway School was the fifth grade; before Galloway I was known to be introverted, in fact many of my classmates did not realize I attended the school until the sixth grade. 2012 was the year that I began to blossom outside to my introverted shell. The longer I went to Galloway the more I learned to not to be afraid to meet new people. At heart I am still an introvert but I have learned to open up to more people and not to be afraid of what could happen and rather live in the moment with whoever I'm with. While I have grown as a young, teenager I have also grown as an African American lady. I have learned to appreciate the melanin that makes me the beautiful chocolate that I am. Going to a school where my grade consists of 75 people and six percent of that 75 is African American, I have learned to appreciate my culture. My culture and heritage is something that is extremely valuable to me. Though I still have areas of growth when it comes to connecting to those with the same ethnicity as me, I have learned to have greater appreciation for African Americans in the past and present. Knowing I still have areas of growth pushes me to have more experiences.

What motivated you to want to participate in Camp CEO? I've been told by several people that I have natural leadership qualities and I want to take advantage of this opportunity to work on perfecting my skills. Which I expect to be a lifelong journey, and the sooner I start the journey the better. As a female, I really hope to make a difference in the world of management, therefore, to do that I want to be able to learn and observe hands on what it takes to make it in the world of management as a woman.

While the Bioinformatics Analyst is the one to analyses said genes and make a diagnosis which then the Geneticist would look over. I would love to work for companies like Ancestry or 23&Me and to live in California. What drives you to be involved in school, community activities and/or Girl Scouts? The version of myself I see in the future. Being studios in my schoolwork, helping others in community service, and acquiring new skills from Girl Scouts allows me to further mold myself into the women I want to be. A well‐rounded school career translates into a well‐rounded job career. Continuous community service work helps make myself a better person and the world a better place. Hello, my name is Jada Favors. I am in the 9th grade at Drew Charter Academy. I have been a Girl Scout for 10 years. I like to travel and tell citizens how the world is different in other places besides Atlanta. Not everyone would know that because they haven't traveled outside the U.S or other places. Lauren Fitzgerald is a fourteen‐year‐old Girl Scout, artist, and student attending Dunwoody High School. Lauren's achievements stretch from maintaining A's in school to working with the city council to legalize backyard chickens in the City of Dunwoody for her Girl Scout Silver Award project. Lauren started Girl scouts as a Daisy and is now a ninth grade Senior Scout. She plans to become an Ambassador and complete her Gold Award alongside many of her friends. Lauren contributes to her school community as a member of the Technology Student Association, Dunwoody High School Swim Team, Literary Magazine Club, and Student Government Association. She volunteers at Girl Scout camp as a counselor in training, and enjoys organizing social events for her peers.

From the three values included in the Girl Scout mission statement, which do you feel most passionate about? (Courage, Confidence, Character) I feel most passionate about the value of character because I feel that what defines me and others is our moral qualities and our love for and interest in what we do. I am most passionate about character because I love to learn about the interests and opinions of the people I meet.

What do you want to do after high school? I will attend college following high school. The question I am struggling with now is narrowing down exactly what I would like to do. Once that is resolved, I can focus on which college is best suited to me. Class selection and pathways at school are well underway and it would be helpful for me to have more of a direction so I can tailor my class schedule appropriately.

What do you hope to gain from the Camp CEO Experience? Going to camp CEO would help me to improve my leadership skills, and learn things firsthand from businesswoman. I hope to gain connections in the business world, and to build connections with other girl scouts. I hope that meeting business woman in camp CEO will help me to choose my future career.

Camp CEO Bio Christiane Fletcher

Christiane Fletcher has been a girl scout for over 10 years. She enjoys backpacking and spending time outside. She is very involved with her girl scout troop. She enjoys going orienteering and is a part of the U.S Junior Development Team. She loves running and has been a part Mountain View's varsity cross country and track team for the past two years.

From the three values included in the Girl Scout mission statement, which do you feel most passionate about? (Courage, Confidence, Character) The values included in the Girl Scout mission statement that I feel most passionate about is courage. The reason this is, is because, with courage, a girl can have confidence and character. Courage is what is necessary for a girl to take risks, to take chances that will open opportunities in her life. Chances that will shape her into the woman she wants to become. What do you want to do after high school? My goal after college is to go to a good college, and graduate with a degree in business. What drives you to be involved in school, community activities and/or Girl Scouts? There are so many amazing friends I have made because I am involved in things, and without them, my life would be so different. Getting involved in activities at school, community, and Girl Scouts has helped shape me into the person I am today. What do you hope to gain from the Camp CEO Experience? I have always looked to further my leadership abilities to give back to my community. When I saw the information about this camp I thought it would be a great experience to gain more leadership skills. I seek successful women as role models and meeting with these women who have gone so far in life, would be very valuable to help me also succeed. What I want to pursue in college and life is business. I hope to gain insight into the business community and gaining this information from these powerful women in business would be very helpful to get me to my dream.

Camp CEO Bio Lyric Franklin

My name is Lyric Sloan Franklin and I am a Freshman at Brookwood High School, where I am an honor student, and was selected to represent my Freshman class as Lady Freshman for the 2017 Homecoming Court. I am on the Brookwood competition cheer squad, the girl’s soccer team, and a member of FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America). I have been a Girl Scout since Daisies and I recently earned my Silver Award as a Cadette. My Silver Award project was also selected as a semi‐finalist for the Council Young Women of Distinction Award. One of the highlights of my Girl Scout experience was our Troop trip to Europe the summer of 2017. We spent 3.5 days in London and 3.5 days in Paris. While in London, we had the opportunity to visit WAGGGS and learn more about our sister Scouts Abroad. As a Senior Girl Scout, I am looking forward to more leadership opportunities and serving my community. I am also excited about continuing my Girl Scout journey through high school, and ultimately earning my Gold award.

What drives you to be involved in school, community activities and/or Girl Scouts? I am driven to be involved overall because I am very competitive, but I like to believe it is healthy competition. It is not all about excelling over my component, but more about challenging myself to be the best that I can be. I am also driven because I have a compassionate heart and I like helping others.

What do you hope to gain from the Camp CEO Experience? I am currently a member of Brookwood High School's FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) Club, where we learn about the business world, as well as compete against other high schools in business events. Additionally, I am enrolled in a 3‐year Entrepreneurship Program at Brookwood High, where we learn about entrepreneurship and starting our own business while still enrolled in high school. I believe the skills that I would take away from Camp CEO will help me be even more successful in these programs. I would also like to meet professional career women in hopes of finding someone to mentor me and help me navigate these next 4 years as I prepare for college and ultimately my future career.

Camp CEO Bio Stephanie Gardiner

Stephanie Gardiner, an IB Diploma Graduate, is a driven ambitious young woman. She has been a dedicated Girl Scout for 13 years and recently earned her Gold Award. She is the captain of her high school debate team, and constantly helps her community through many acts of community service. One of the most important aspects of Stephanie's life is her church life. She is the lead chorister of the youth choir at her church, a captain acolyte, a representative for the annual committee, and an extremely active member of the youth group. She loves working with children, as well as building houses with Habitat for Humanity. Stephanie has also participated in Odyssey of the Mind, a creative problem solving competitive program, for 10 years. She loves animals, as well as reading. In her free time, her favorite thing to do is paint, because in school she is very calculative and factual‐based.

From the three values included in the Girl Scout mission statement, which do you feel most passion about and why? (Courage, Confidence, Character) I feel most passionate about the value of character because the other two values are extremely enhanced if someone has good character. Good character signifies courage, confidence, and so many more qualities because of the kindness and generosity that is associated with being a good person. Being a good person is the best way to be confident in your actions, which makes the best Girl Scout, in my opinion.

What do you hope to gain from the Camp CEO Experience? The first time I went, I met some of the best people in my life. I still constantly communicate with the girls I met and I genuinely love them so much. I would love to meet new people and talk to more amazing people. Another reason I would love to attend again is because I learned so much last year. Not only information about the business world but seemingly simple skills, but resume skills, how to make a pitch, and how to present yourself. These skills I learned gave me such a huge advantage in the college application process, which I recently had to go through.

Camp CEO Bio Deja Goodloe-Vintes

My name is Deja Goodloe-Vintes, and I am 17 years old, as well as a junior at KIPP Atlanta Collegiate. I am outspoken and very independent for my age I believe. I honestly do not really do much being that tend to stay to myself except on specific occasions. My friendships mean a lot to ma as well as my family relationships. I particularly feel as if I have an old soul, and my teachers and family also tells me the same thing. I have a passion for arguing because I hate to be wrong, but the funny part is I do not want to be a lawyer. Every time I debate in school or even in life, I win and there is always someone who ask "do you want to be lawyer. I love animals with everything in me, partly the reason why I am not really a people. I can get alone with me but I do not really know how to work with people. I feel that is because I do not like or want my downfall based on someone else's work. What drives you to be involved in school, community activities and/or Girl Scouts? There is only one thing that drives me and that is the fact that I want to be successful in life. I know that for me to be successful when I grow up I must work hard now. I don't want myself or myself to have a want for anything. I have also been successful for my age and I feel as if I have come this far why stop now. Also, being that I black in American I know that I am going to have to work harder for what I want. So, I also work hard so that I can prove all the stereotypes about black women as wrong. What do you hope to gain from the Camp CEO Experience? I hope to gain many things from my Camp CEO experience. I want to gain more social and independence skills because this will be my last summer before high school. I also hope to gain some lifetime friendships. I really want to establish some connections that could benefit me in my life. I really hope to grow as a person altogether socially, mentally, and physically. I see this experience benefit so I want to learn as much as possible.

Camp CEO Bio Zainam Goodloe-Vintes

Zainam is a junior who attends KIPP Atlanta Collegiate. I am a twin of a pretty, well-educated, serious, funny, young lady name Deja. Zainam is young girl who struggled with confidence and voicing her opinion in elementary school. In middle school she got better with the confidence but it was more like a cover up because she couldn't be weak and her cover-up was like her super hero. Her cover up was someone she knew she wanted to be. But, Zainam started voicing her opinion too much in middle school and she went from the innocent one to the innocent face with a reckless mouth. Zainam is now 16 and high school has been a roller coaster. Zainam is now confident, but maybe too confident sometimes, she was smart but knew she could do better so she did a reset. She cut people off that were no good for her, she stopped entertaining every little thing high school threw at her, she embraced her zodiac sign (Aquarius) and realized she could not be tied down because she sees it as a challenge, she loves making people laugh, she's a rebel at heart but knows right for wrong but decides on what will make her happy. What drives you to be involved in school, community activities and/or Girl Scouts? What drives me in school is my future. I know exactly how I want my future to be, I know that I don't want to struggle and I know that I want my future to have an impact on the world. I want my future to either help someone's life or better the law and fight for actual equality. In the community and Girl Scouts what drives me is myself. I know what I want to change and I know I want my community to be better, such as: better role models for kids, letting them know they don't have to grow up too fast to fit in, to stop accepting the fact that we say have to say R.I.P every week.

What do you hope to gain from the Camp CEO Experience? I hope to gain leadership skills. I want to be able to be mature and have a better vision for my future. I hope this camp will teach me how to run my own business. I also hope this camp will teach me to represent myself so I can be respected by any age. Finally, I want this camp to teach me how to make smarter money decisions.

Camp CEO Bio Savannah Granito

I was born in Westerly, Rhode Island in 2001 and moved to Georgia when I was almost 5 years old. I always copied everything my older sister did, including dance, which took less than 2 months for me to realize I was not, in fact, my sister but instead wanted to become a ninja. I joined Taekwondo right before I turned 6, and have done it now for about 11 years. I have earned my second‐degree black belt, and am currently working on my third degree. I have always loved reading and science, just not combined in any way. Language Arts, specifically writing, has become a source of expression for my emotion and beliefs. I especially used it when my mother was fighting breast cancer as a healthy way to channel my anger and fear. During this time, I also fell in love with medicine and how it can perform miracles, as it was shown to for my mother. It is for this reason that I focus my energy on striving towards medical school. From the three values included in our mission statement, which do you feel most passionate about and why? Character is the most important to me because I believe that courage and confidence don't matter if an individual would not be honest and respectable to everyone that they meet.

What do you want to do after high school? I wish to go to college for Pre‐ medicine, most likely with a major in Biology or Biochemistry. I am currently looking at about 6 colleges, one of which is Berry College in Rome Georgia. After I get my Bachelors, I will invest in going to Medical School, hopefully in a Big City.

What do you hope to gain from the Camp CEO Experience? I hope to gain not only a complete understanding of what I must do to reach my goals, but also a supportive team who I would always feel comfortable going to for questions and advice.

Camp CEO Bio Ava Harris

I was born on October 20, 2001, as Ava Josephine Harris. My parents always say I was a good child growing up, and I will take their word on it since I have no memory whatsoever. However, I can remember that old apartment and us moving to our current house. Also around this time, my brother was born, so that was cool. Though I can remember up to first grade where I met my best friend Kaylah Brown (who is also applying for Camp CEO), Kaylah was like a shining star in my dark and friendless world. She is like the sister I never had and she will always be family. Up until sixth grade, I was just a normal little girl trying to make friends and do the best I could in school. Around 4th grade, I joined Girl Scouts and had a blast. I saw many girls and learned some many things that people wished they knew. Then I also found music, I joined our school band in sixth grade. I played the trumpet for three years but was terrible at it; I think I was the last chair of the trumpet section if I can remember correctly. For many years of middle school, I had no friends until high school. In 9th grade, I joined the marching band at my school and played French Horn by myself. I will be honest French horn was supposed to be a part‐time thing, but now I play it full time and I am the first chair of the Horn section, so that rocks. I also play percussion on my free time. I am just so happy right now because I am at the best point in my life and I really hope to get to know the people here better and maybe I can reveal more of myself to you guys as well. I really apologize for the vague biography, but my life is very lackluster, but I can learn more at camp I hope.

What do you want to do after high school? I plan on getting a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. After that, I plan to go to medical school and a medical degree, do my OB/GYN residency, and obtain my license.

What do you hope to gain from the Camp CEO Experience? I feel like in some skill or quality areas I am lacking. I am really hoping that by going to this camp that all the activities and the speakers can me build up that lack of confidence and uncertainty I feel going into my career choice. I can learn how to build my people skills and maybe even a résumé. I really hope that by the end of this camp I could have a job interview and get the job; just from all the stuff, I will learn here. Since I will graduate in 2020, I have limited time before I have college interviews and job interviews, and I just want to be the best I can be.

Camp CEO Bio Ebby LaPolt

Hello, I’m Elizabeth “Ebby” LaPolt. There are only a few points in someone’s life that she will remember forever. For me, being a Girl Scout created many of these moments. In my childhood, my father was in the Army, so we moved to Pennsylvania, New York, Germany, Tennessee, Hawaii, and now Georgia. Yet I could find a home in these places, every time I moved, because I had a home in Girl Scouts. I have been a Girl Scout since Daisies, earning my Bronze, Silver, and currently working on my Gold Award. But, it is these camp moments that led me to be the G.I.R.L. I am today. Camp CEO helped me to be the Go‐Getter I am, my Camp Aid experience led me to become Innovator and that bridge challenged me to be a Risk‐Taker.

From the three values included in our mission statement, which do you feel most passionate about and why? Confidence is the word I am most passionate about. In my eyes, when a someone has confidence, courage and character fallows without question. With confidence, girls feel they can show their true character. With confidence, girls have more courage to show and be themselves. In my eyes, confidence is the heart of all three, and can really enhance and help the other two. What do you want to do after high school? After high school I know I want to go into college. Not sure where I want to go, long dream is Stanford, but have not decided. I’m interested in a career in Forensic Science and Behavioral Analysis for the FBI. What do you hope to gain from the Camp CEO Experience? I am interested in Camp CEO because I love to meet empowering and inspirational women. I went last year and loved to hear how the women got to where they are, as well as connected well with my mentor, whom I am still in touch with, and would love to experience that again.

Camp CEO Bio Hannah Logan

My residence started in Chicago and journeyed through Memphis Tennessee and now Atlanta, GA. These three cities and my experience in each have shaped me as a Girl Scout, Cheerleader, Technology Intern, Dancer, and a young lady committed to community service. The youngest of three and the only daughter, I have always felt a sense of comfort having two older brothers and my maternal grandparents residing with my family or within five minutes away. As a senior in high school at Roswell, my next journey will encompass me maneuvering on a college campus and clearly majoring in a STEAM program. I enjoy exercise, community service and traveling. I am a motivator of others to support them in reaching their full potential. I look not to judge others but show compassion for those who may be down or not feeling one hundred percent. We all need a pick me up sometimes and I am that for my friends and family. Striving to do my very best in school and working in various organizations requires that I stay focused and positive. I journal many positive thoughts and goals to keep me motivated. My college experience promises to be fulfilling as it will offer so many opportunities to learn something new and meet new people.

What do you want to do after high school? I plan to attend Georgia State and Complete the Computer Information Systems 4 Year Co‐op Plan that begins this summer immediately following the Camp CEO. This camp would be the perfect bridge to my college experience.

What do you hope to gain from the Camp CEO Experience? Camp CEO will allow me to experience something new. New experiences allow for growth. As I exit High School and plan to attend Georgia State University in June, I will need to approach life differently. I am anticipating that Camp CEO will introduce problem solving techniques and innovative ways of working. As a leader, I want to understand how successful corporate leaders found their way, what obstacles they encountered and what advice they have for me as a young entrepreneur. I want to just listen, learn and participate in the program completely. Whatever the program has to offer, I intend to take advantage of each and every opportunity.

Camp CEO Bio Lariel McCormick

Lariel McCormick is 16 years young and has been in Girl Scouts for 10 years and counting. She is a true thespian at heart, as her community's Stage Manager for their academy class. As well as leading academy there, she also is always a part of every show that is performing, whether be stage manager, directors assistant, or even being in a show, she's always there. Not only does she do theatre, but she is in a home school choir. In her choir she teaches dance to the younger children, and is also directors assistant. Lariel always is encouraging young girls to stay in girl scouts, and has been a Coleader for a Girl Scout troop for the past 2 years. Her mission is to be the best role model she can to anyone around her and help them in any way she can. In school her favorite subjects are history and literature. Lariel has started her Gold

What do you want to do after high school? I would like to work off my Gold Award project being an author that travels and be a public speaker to others. Then, I am open to whatever else comes my way, and to stay open minded.

What do you hope to gain from the Camp CEO Experience? Last year I learned so much from women who are amazing in their own way, and in the process, I gained a new confidence I did not have before Camp CEO. I did learn a lot, but I know there is still more to know. After attending and consuming so much inspiring words from the CEO'S and the classes, now have different questions to ask. This past year I was motivated to not only step out of the box, but help me get over some of my anxieties as a woman taking charge. I am excited to meet more women/girls who are ready to better themselves and encourage one another. I especially love the one on one time we have with the CEO's, and getting to learn about their journeys as a powerful female is honestly so incredible, and I want to continue that path like them.

What do you hope to gain from the Camp CEO Experience? I want to attend Camp CEO again this summer because I truly enjoyed being able to connect with other Girl Scouts my age outside of my troop members. I also enjoyed the Gold Award panel, the Hoe Down Night, the group activities and just being able to hang out in the cabin before bed. The most memorable part of my experience at Camp CEO was canoeing and archery with Mrs. Susan. Our time together allowed us to get to know each other. I equally enjoyed hearing Pearls of Wisdom around the campfire and at breakfast. It was so much fun eating with a different pair every day and meeting great resources that I can use in the future. I also enjoyed the Career fair and exchanging business cards with the CEOs.

I am the one who takes care of my siblings when they are sick. My older sister has epilepsy and I was the one that alerted my parents when she started having a seizure. I love to help people especially babies. I hope to be a NICU Nurse. From the three values included in our mission statement, which do you feel most passionate about and why? (Courage, Confidence, Character) I think character is the most important because if you have character that means you care about other people not just yourself. It also means you work hard and do not give up even if things get hard or you fail, you get back up and try even harder. What drives you to be involved in school, community activities and/or Girl Scouts? My mom is our leader. I see how hard she has worked for our family and her troop. She grew up with absent parents due to drugs. Yet she did not give up or follow a bad path. Instead she rose above her beginning and went to college and became a teacher and raised 3 kids. My mom taught me that helping others makes you feel happy and accomplished. What do you want to do after high school? What do you want to do after high school? I would like to earn a graduate degree in medical field and perhaps have my own practice.

What do you hope to gain from the Camp CEO Experience? Having had such an amazing experience last year I realized that there is so much to learn from these exceptional women. My mentor has inspired me that I would like to duplicate her accomplishments in my life. Camp CEO will help me network for my Gold Project thus increasing my resource pool. What do you want to do after high school? After high school I plan to go to college. I am considering becoming an accountant, but I would like to minor in Anthropology. Two years ago, I took AP Human Geography and I loved the class so much. I found each topic intriguing and I couldn't put down the textbook. I truly wanted to learn and I want to feel that again in college. I would love to work at a large successful firm.

What do you hope to gain from the Camp CEO Experience? Camp CEO forced me to think deeper about my professional future and prepare myself with networking skills. I learned real advice from the Pearls of Wisdom not only from my CEO, but also from every other CEO present. My first year I learned to never say "um" and it has improved my public speaking skills, and last year I learned to appreciate all the time I have left in this world because I never know when it may end. This advice has shaped my life in the past year and I will never forget it.

Camp CEO Bio Bridget Van Velsor

Hi, my name is Bridget Van Velsor, and I'm a freshman at Lambert High School. From the three values included in the Girl Scout mission statement, which do you feel most passionate about? What drives you to be involved in school, community activities and/or Girl Scouts? The thing that drives me the most to participate in various activities is that I feel as if I am making a change within my community, whether it be a small impact or a large one.

What do you want to do after high school? Go to college and possibly get a degree in art or maybe something related to science.

She enjoys history and science and plans to major in Psychology in college. From the three values included in our mission statement, which do you feel most passionate about and why? (Courage, Confidence, Character) I feel that confidence is the most important because without confidence you will not be able to take risks and achieve things that might be outside of your comfort zone. People who have made a change did not follow the crowd and conform to what society thought they should be, they took the step and rose above. Without courage, I do not think that there would be a difference between great people and normal people. What do you want to do after high school? After high school I plan to go to college for political science and have a career as an attorney or profiler one day. What do you hope to gain from the Camp CEO Experience? I participated in Camp CEO last year and truthfully it was a life changing experience for me. I had the opportunity to spend time with fellow girl scouts who share the same values as me as well as driven and motivated to make a change in the world. I also had the chance to meet and network with women who already made a change in the world as well as have reached a leadership position in their field.

Camp CEO Bio Sarah Wood

Sarah Wood, Age 15, considers herself to be a fairly optimistic, yet tragically pretty and smart individual. She enjoys working with children through art and science, as well pursuing the subjects herself. Sarah's favorite color is yellow that just happens to be the color of her favorite bird, a gold finch. One might ask why this is an important fact well that’s because she loves animals and hopes to one day pursue a career in biology and the environment. On her free time, she enjoys drawing and painting as well writing. She has won a scholastic silver key for her script 'A Civil Conversation on Planetary Status.'. Sarah believes that the world can only be seen truly through looking at everything with a positive point of view including yourself. In the future Sarah hopes to inspire young kids to follow their passions and feel free to be as goofy as possible.

What drives you to be involved in school, community activities and/or Girl Scouts? I think the world is a complex and varied place with experiences to happen all over. These experiences connect or disconnect every individual on the planet. My drive comes from wanting to optimize this view as much as possible. I’ve learned from my 15 years on this planet that by being a negative and disengaged individual the world will only return that to you. I believe that I still have much more to learn but having this outlook will help me apply myself to anything that I want to do! This is what drives me and helps me keep on going forward.

What do you want to do after high school? I plan to go into college and study something related to Biology or Medicine. I’m unsure if that will take me to become a Botanist or a Pediatrician, but that general field of study fascinates me greatly.

What do you hope to gain from the Camp CEO Experience? I hope to learn about what it’s like to be a woman in a leadership position and what to expect. As well I hope to grow as a leader myself. At the very least I hope to gain an amazing experience where I get to meet outstanding individuals and enjoy a session in the outdoors!
