Camp CEO Bio L au ren Baker I have been in Girl Scouts my whole life. I started at the age of four and have been in love with scouting. I have a family of four, including my mother father brother and I. I also have a dog named dash and he is a happy little fur ball. F amily is everything to me. without my family, I couldn' t/ wouldn' t be in the position that I am now. My family has always been my number one supporter, especially during this time. Next fall I will be at the University of my choice and I am so excited but nervous. I have always been an independent young lady but now I will actually be outside of my parental nest. I plan to study business and start my own chain of restaurants and resorts. I write down all my ideas that I have for the future on my vision board, its one of my favorite hobbies to do with friends. It helps me sort all of the thoughts and spit it out and see it clearly. What driv es y ou to b e inv olv ed in sc hool, c ommu nity ac tiv ities and/ or G irl S c ou ts? I have always been independent and outgoing. Growing up in Atlanta and the surrounding that was all I saw. People taking ownership and pride in themselves. Being able to have some honor to their name. W hen I say that I am a Girl Scout to anyone, it intrigues them to want to know more about me. In just saying the Girl Scout name brings up a legacy of greatness that I strive to fulfill. That' s why I am so outgoing in school and Girl Scouts. I want to leave a legacy that serving my community, fixing problems I see in school and is a great passion of mine just like the people around me who inspire and I aspire to be. Being a leader in school is something that has always come naturally to me. W hen it came down to projects or just getting something plainly done, I was the girl that people called on. What I am most looking forward to at Camp CEO: I hope to gain numerous t from Camp CEO. The idea of being able to socializ e and network while having fun. I will be surrounded by girls who share the same outlook on life. Everyone will be just as excited as I will be which means we will also share an experience like no other. Another exciting aspect of Camp CEO is talking to the mentors. Being able to talk to an adult that was once in my position is awesome. Having that first-hand advice that I have always sought right in front of you is a dream. I am definitely taking advantage of all the wisdom and knowledge that each mentor has. Their knowledge will help me for this year because I am starting a new chapter in my life. W ith college and actually getting out in the real new world, everything is happening at an exponential rate. So for me, I will take all the best advice they can give me
Camp CEO Bio J orry n Bellinger J orry n Bellinger was born on the fourth of July in 2002. Ever since that day, she has never stopped believing the fireworks were a celebration of her. Often described as a quick witted, enigmatic, old soul with a memory like an elephant. Her artistic talent and care for the environment became apparent at a very early age. A selfproclaimed vegetarian at the age of five, refusing to eat anything, “ that has a face ! Moreover, no object is off limits in becoming something more than its original intention; from squeez ing color from flowers and using it as paint or collecting sticks from the yard and converting them into a beautiful hanging chandelier. As a Junior, at Sprayberry High School and a member of the Girl Scouts for the past eleven years, she continues to explore, develop and emerge into her true self. Now a vegan, creative with deep passions rooted in social and political activism who pushes the boundaries of the norm by constantly urging others to broaden their perspectives on the status quo. Jorryn' s mission is to change the world. What driv es y ou to b e inv olv ed in sc hool, c ommu nity ac tiv ities and/ or G irl S c ou ts? Art and Activism are an integral part of my life. A stranger would mistakenly view me as a pack rat, because it is difficult for me to let things go. Everything can be repurposed to be something more meaningful than what was originally intended; the possibilities are endless. Art is a powerful tool to evoke social change. Every piece of art created impacts the world; inciting emotion, inspiration, or to make a statement to support a cause. An equal passion to art is my interest in social issues and politics. In my opinion, positive social change can be anything that makes a current situation better, no matter who or what it affects or whether the change is small or big. Over the years, several opportunities allowed me to intermingle my two passions. I was a member of One L ove Generation for three years. This organiz ation encouraged high school students to influence social change through art service projects. Subsequently, I was selected to take an international mission trip to Guanacaste in L iberia, Costa R ica. There we visited a small performing arts school. W e interacted one on one with local students, and painted a beautiful mural.
Camp CEO Bio S y dney Bolden S y dney Bolden is a girl who looks for ways to be a good example to others. W ith lack of confidence in early years, Sydney has worked above and beyond to become an A/ B student, growing leader and service volunteer. W hen learning didn’t come easy, Sydney worked hard in school, worked on her organiz ation and paid attention to the details. She challenged herself to try new things, step outside the box and was able to see herself succeed in new areas. Sydney discovered that health, fitness, good nutrition and positive attitude helped to relieve stress, bring focus and get better results that she desired. She decided this way of thinking would be something she would continue through school and into her future. Sydney is the middle child of a younger sister and older brother. She loves family time, traveling to new places and taking care of her smart Cavapoo dog, Milo. Sydney loves animals, and has a heart for those that are in need of adoption. She loves to help others look at life in positive ways. Sydney is well-liked by her teachers and her great circle of friends. She likes to laugh, exercise, create things, cook healthy dishes, enjoy life and learn new things. Some may see her quiet side but she doesn’t shy away from opportunities to grow into the person she desires to be. Sydney has a dream to one day work in the health industry teaching others the importance of fitness, good nutrition and overall wellness to be successful. F rom the three v alu es inc lu ded in ou r mission statement, whic h do y ou feel most passionate ab ou t and why ? I am most passionate about the value Character because it shows the kind of person I am no matter what I achieve in life. It is what will set me apart from others and show that I care about the way I handle myself in things that I do. In today' s world, so many people focus on likes and social media posts that we really don' t know about the real person. I enjoy social media too, but I know that it' s important to have real relationships that I value and respect. I want to reach high goals but I want people to know they can count on me to be a friend or do my part. I want to be genuine and do a good job on things so I can be proud of the results and others can be too.
Camp CEO Bio L arissa Brehm Hi, my name is L arissa Brehm. I am a go getter. I love to be involved in things like debate, speech, Girl Scouts, babysitting, acting, being creative, sewing , cooking, thriving in school and, being involved at my church. I am also my class' s social chair. I have always been outgoing, extraverted and, pretty much a social butterfly. This year, I have been on a debate team where I have learned many things about debating and how to write a speech. This has also helped me understand what happens in court. This is especially important to me because my parents are getting a divorce right now. I not only learned about debating but, I have also learned how to sew and started my own small business. I sell scrunches to the girls at my school. My business name is L arissa' s Ties. W hen I started my business, I did not think that I would learn anything. I was wrong. W hen I started my business I not only learn about how to sew better scrunches but, I also learned the valuable lesson of marketing. I learned how to sell with reasonable prices and how to cater to my consumers. I learned what my consumers like and now I make more things that they prefer. At the moment, I am actually working to buy myself air pods. I love doing many things but, being at church is one of my favorite things to do. My church youth group is always doing fun activities like going to Get Air, going camping, swimming and going tubing. W e also have fun devotionals. In the future, I hope to be a judge, or a lawyer. I hope to do this because I enjoy negotiating my way into getting things. In the future, I would like to use this skill for good. All in all, I very much enjoy hanging out with my friends, being with people, and working hard to make myself some extra cash. F rom the three v alu es inc lu ded in ou r mission statement, whic h do y ou feel most passionate ab ou t and why ? I am most passionate about all 3 values. I value courage because I believe that if you do not have this, you will not be able to live your life to the fullest extent. If you have no courage, you cannot succeed. I am passionate about confidence because without confidence, how are you supposed to get your voice heard? I believe that every person should have confidence to also feel good about themselves. I believe that if you doubt your beauty or self-worth, you are not going to value yourself as much. I lastly feel passionate about character because I believe if you are not moral, that you can damage relationships with loved ones like family and friends.

Camp CEO Bio Campb ell Bry an My name is Campb ell Bry an and I' m a sophomore at Northsprings Highschool. I' m representing Troop 27 5 9 5 from Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta. Being selected for Camp CEO is such a great opportunity for me to experience and learn new skills from empowering women. During this four-day camping experience, I will have the ability to meet more Girl Scouts who have the same mission as, and I will also learn about different challenges or experiences the other girls or mentors have faced. I am very excited to be a member of this year' s Camp CEO! ! ! F rom the three v alu es inc lu ded in ou r mission statement, whic h do y ou feel most passionate ab ou t and why ? Character, that is something that we all need. If you have great character, you have the ability to become leader and people will follow you. Having character will lead you to greatness in the future and can help you with your confidence and courage. W hile, courage and confidence are both important, character is the base of them both. Having character shows that you don' t just do the right thing in front of people, but when no one is looking. Character shows that you' re doing something because you care and you want to do it, and not because someone told you to. What driv es y ou to b e inv olv ed in sc hool, c ommu nity ac tiv ities, and/ or G irl S c ou ts? W hat drives me, what gives me the motivation to be a part of school, community service, and Girl Scouts is the learning aspect. F or community service, I love the idea that I will be able to help someone or something in need. I can take my time and give back to my community and provide my services. Camp CEO Bio A y oka D ray ton
My name is Ayoka Drayton. I am 15 years old. I identify as Caribbean-American. The best way to tell you about myself is to illustrate my mindset. W hen we are little kids, everyone asks us what we want to be when we grow up. W e might' ve said a firefighter, police officer, doctor, singer, or dancer. I' ve wanted to be plenty of things but my goal always remained the same. That goal was to help as many people as much as possible till the day I die. I think the question we should' ve been asked was " How do you want to be when you grow up? " My whole life I have been surrounded by people who loved me, but those same people grew to anger too quickly. It didn' t take me long to realiz e I didn' t want to be like the rest of my family, whom claimed our anger was genetic. W hen I grow up, I want to be happy and kind. I am happy and kind. W ho or how I want to be is who I am because every day I am getting better and growing. I was born in Trinidad & Tobago, so I come from a diverse and openminded background. My parents and brother taught me the importance of making the right decisions and people are affected by your decisions. They taught me that anger and hatred don' t do anything but feed the ugliest parts of yourself. They taught me, my mother especially, how powerful love is. I learned on my own that being passionate about something is important. I learned that I have to believe in something, especially myself. I learned the importance of forgiveness, no matter how bad you may be hurting or how I also learned that people are more alike than they are unlike. I also learned that God isn' t as nitpicky as we believe, and he wants us to love unconditionally. My lessons learned have made me who I am. What driv es y ou to b e inv olv ed in sc hool, c ommu nity ac tiv ities and/ or G irl S c ou ts? I want to make a difference and a change in my community. I cannot do that if I am not involved and I cannot depend on someone else to make that change for me. I am in involved in tennis, Beta Club, and Girl Scouts because I want to do as much good as possible and make my dreams a reality. What do y ou want to do after high sc hool? I plan on going to college, then medical school, and earn my doctorate. Afterwards, I plan on completing my residency to become a psychiatrist. Then, I will specializ e to become a forensic psychiatrist. I want to have my own practice and focus on changing the stigma on mental health and how it is dealt with.

Camp CEO Bio S amy u kta Iy er National Science Olympiad winner, CSGirls National finalist, Georgia Science STEM talk winner for High School division, Cobb County R eflections winner in L iterature, V isual Arts and Music, S amy u kta Iy er is well known for her leadership, organiz ation and excellent work ethic in her academic and community circles. Samyukta earned her Girl Scouts Silver Award for her environmental conservation and sustainable gardening initiatives in Mumbai, India. Samyukta also pursues three genres of classical music, South Indian, North Indian and W estern Classical music and is a Georgia All State Chorus Soprano with a perfect score for the past three years. Outside of school, Samyukta enjoys poetry and literature and is an avid blogger and artist. Samyukta' s is passionate about teaching and giving back through local communities, place of worship, school and Girl Scouts. She teaches instrumental and vocal music to young children in her community Sunday school. She has mentored and led Juniors in workshops about product design, entrepreneurship and innovation. She believes that there is no purpose in education if it is not applied to improve the global society and educate the next generation for a lasting cycle of progress. Girl Scouts has helped her through the many invaluable leadership and personal growth opportunities that it has provided, and she is very excited to continue on this journey. What do y ou want to do after high sc hool? After high school, I plan on further studies in fields of science, likely either medicine or genetics. Science has the potential to solve the many of the world’s greatest issues that have plagued billions for far too long, and studying these revolutionary but still relevant fields is critical to expanding my abilities and capability to innovate and find solutions to these problems. Once I get my degree, I aim to begin practicing in the underprivileged and neglected areas of the globe. Our affluent suburbs overflow with doctors for every affliction and body part under the sun, but examination of places as close as the less wealthy parts of the city reveal a urgent and pressing scarcity of quality medical expertise, coupled with a genuine concern and care for the patient beyond a price tag or prescription. Every patient is a life with a story and a reason that they need to be here. Every case cured is an extended, new lease on a potentially debilitated life. Being a doctor isn’t about making money; it’s about the chance you get to directly impact someone’s life, and this life changing role is one that I want to be a part of.

Camp CEO Bio V ic toria J ac kson My name is V ic toria J ac kson, I' m 16 years old and my life has been a very eventful one, to say the least. W hen I was in kindergarten my house was foreclosed the week of my sixth birthday and it changed my life forever. F rom that day my family and I didn' t have a solid place to live for about eight years. This took a toll on me in my social life because I would lie about the things I had and the fun things I' d do just to fit in with peers. In January of 2014, my family moved into the house that we' re still in today but I began to struggle elsewhere in my life. W hen I was in 6th grade, I began to deal with self-hate because I didn' t look like the other girls in my grade at the time. I thought I was ugly and felt like I didn' t belong. I talked with one of the youth leaders at my church and she encouraged me by telling me that I was beautiful and then she told me that I shouldn' t judge myself based off of others because it' s not healthy and God made me just the way he wanted me to be therefore I was perfect in his eyes. Now I love myself fully and believe that I am who God says I am which is beautiful in his sight. I also stopped speaking false truths about my life and embrace what I have instead of chasing after what others have. F rom the three v alu es inc lu ded in ou r mission statement, whic h do y ou feel most passionate ab ou t and why ? Camp CEO Bio H imani K alra My name is H imani K alra and I have been a Girl Scout for 9 years. I have many interests with fencing being my favorite. I have always been among the top fifteen national ranked US fencers for my age-group, ever since I was ten years old. F encing has instilled physical and mental discipline in me, given me close friendships and role models, and taught me the importance of balance – balancing sports practice with school homework, the fun of winning with the disappointments of losing. Part of me is a geeky Math and Science buff. Tinkering with things, working on lab experiments in school, and studying formulas and abstract concepts is something I enjoy. I’m on my school Biology Olympiad and Math team and also help other students through Mu Alpha Theta tutoring. I also write and design for two Science magaz ines at school, “ V eritas” and “ Embryo” and hope to eventually enter a career in a STEM field and mentor kids through science fair projects while I am in college. What I am most looking forward to at Camp CEO? In my small elementary school, I had the same English teacher for my third, fourth, and fifth grades. She would often put inspirational quotes on the board which we would discuss in class. One of these quotes was, “ Prepare the child for the path, not the path for the child” . W hen we discussed what it meant, it left a strong impression and made me realiz e that I would need to work on myself as I grow up to “ prepare myself for the path” . In a few years, I will leave the cocoon of my home and parents. I am at an important stage of life where I have to work hard on my academics, balance the demands of my extra-curricular activities, and also make decisions about colleges and what I want to become in my future. I am planning my next steps. Through the Camp CEO experience. I am hoping to gain advice and encouragement from successful corporate leaders about skills that I will need to do well in life. Each of these women has handled challenges. L istening to their life stories and the challenges they have dealt with will help me draw inspiration about how to become better in my own life. Camp CEO represents a unique opportunity for me to learn new things and have a better direction and vision for my future.

Camp CEO Bio K ay la M agee My life started out in foster care. My biological mother was unable to care for herself or her children. I was adopted by my mother at four months of age. I have struggled with the idea of being adopted. My mind and my emotions often tell me that I am not wanted and not worthy because my biological mother did not want me. I however, have chosen not to be defined by my birth or my bloodline. I choose instead to be defined by who I am. My character, my hopes and dreams for a successful future are what drive me to be the best me that I can possibly be. F rom the three v alu es inc lu ded in ou r mission statement, whic h do y ou feel most passionate ab ou t and why ? I feel the most passionate about character. But the purest most genuine you is what makes up your character, and that is who you are. Y our character determines how you will treat others. It determines what you will and will not do in order to achieve success in your career. Simply put, your character determines the direction of your life. What driv es y ou to b e inv olv ed in sc hool, c ommu nity ac tiv ities and/ or G irl S c ou ts? The desire for myself to succeed drives me to be involved in helping and contributing to my community, involving myself in my troop and looking out for my sisters in GS, and being attentive, punctual, and precise in my everyday school life. I believe that my drive to be involved in my community emphasiz es my empathy for those around me. W hat people have, or lack there of, drives me to want to help people less fortunate than myself. What I am most looking forward to at Camp CEO? W hat I hope to gain is knowledge. K nowledge from 3 0 outstanding women who pave the road to success for young girls like me. I seek the first-hand experiences and struggles of having a title such as ' The CEO' and there is no one better to be gifted this information from than from the women themselves who hold these titles. I want to know what it takes, what I need to do, how to present myself, and the things I need to obtain and/ or know to be awarded such a high level of management.

Camp CEO Bio J ay len S mith W hile I have memories before I was a Girl Scout, most of my childhood memories involve me serving others, creating crafts and camping with my Girl Scout Troop. I have been a Girl Scout since I was in K indergarten, joining Troop 181 as a Daisy. There, I met girls who would follow me throughout middle and high school and become some of my closest friends. As we grew older, our Troop grew as well as we merged with Troop 10101. F or a while, younger girls were a part of the Troop, and we older girls often presented information to them and helped them as we completed Journeys. Growing up as a Girl Scout didn’t only make for a delightful and fun childhood, but also taught me valuable life skills, including friendship, responsibility, respect, confidence, character, and courage. I completed requirements I am nearing the end to earn the Bronz e award, earned the Y oung W oman of Distinction for my Silver award, and now I’m in the process of completing my Gold Award. W hat I’ve learned from Scouting, I have had the opportunity to apply to my life to succeed academically. What driv es y ou to b e inv olv ed in sc hool, c ommu nity ac tiv ities and/ or G irl S c ou ts? The relationships I make with people in my school, community, and through Girl Scouts motivates me to be more active. Now, as a junior, I am in multiple school clubs, even being V ice President of my school' s Book Club, am completing my Gold Award, am an active member of my high school orchestra, and am a member of my school' s yearbook staff, where I was inducted into Q uill and Scroll, the National Honor Society for Journalism. Camp CEO Bio S arah Wood S arah Wood is a junior in high school with an interest in everything around her. She approaches things with a sense of wonder and curiosity for the day to day. One day she hopes to pursue a career in science but at the moment she enjoys learning as much as she can in high school. In her free time Sarah likes to draw, design, write and read ( with a goal of 5 2 books this year) . She volunteers at F ernbank Natural History Museum and works at a neighborhood art studio. She loves working with younger kids especially at camps, Sunday school, and babysitting thinking they have a unique perspective ( and tend to always be funny) . L ife is like a big mystery and she knows she can’t solve it alone, so working with others she hopes to work towards a better future. What driv es y ou to b e inv olv ed in sc hool, c ommu nity ac tiv ities and/ or G irl S c ou ts? I think communities are important and that every person has a unique perspective. Be it at school, work, or church I strive to get to know folks and be present in the experience. I never know when something unexpected may present its self. There is always so much to gain and so much to give and that’s what drives me to be passionate. I think it goes back to the art I do, I know that no great work can be created in a vacuum. I believe that this idea applies to the self, I can’t grow on my own. I need insights from different people for that. And as much as I gain from others I try to give back. I' m always driven because I like to do my activities fully, not just because I think that it’d look good on an application. I think that’s the secret to being happy, to do things because they make you feel whole. Or at least believe that doing something is making one' s self or the world better. Its what I consider when I' m volunteering, working, or just doing something for fun. F or the most part, my answer is yes, and I' m proud of that. What do y ou want to do after high sc hool? I know I want to go to college and double major in biology ( or some science) and visual arts. Hopefully then going on to grad school for biology. After that I’m unsure of the job I want to take after that, there is a multitude of opportunities that I likely don’t even know of now. After high school I want to go to college as a chance to explore these opportunities. W ho knows though, I could end up in anything from lab work to forensics to therapy. I think its a matter of the path life puts me on and the one I’m willing to pursue.
