Welcome to the 2024 Cookie Program! As cookie entrepreneurs, Girl Scouts learn valuable life skills while earning money to fund troop adventures and activities like camping, community service projects, travel, and more. All of this is possible because of you, our amazing volunteers, who dedicate valuable time and effort to supporting entrepreneurs in the cookie program. Thank you for everything you do to ensure this program is an enriching, safe, and exciting experience for all Girl Scouts. Troop cookie managers job description: Troop cookie managers provide support to the troop during the Girl Scout Cookie Program. They set up cookie booths, manage inventory and money, and watch the entrepreneurs light up when they reach their goals and earn rewards for being the best cookie sellers ever!
NEW THIS YEAR!
For 2024 ONLY, we will be running a trial cookie return program. Cases of cookies checked out March 7-10, 2024, may be returned no later than March 13, 2024. Here is how the return process will work: - Return only what was picked up, in case number and variety - Example: If 2 Thin Mint and 2 Tagalongs were checked out, up to 2 Thin Mint and 2 Tagalongs will be accepted (can return 1 Thin Mint and 1 Tagalong) - Cases MUST be sealed - Only Thin Mint cases sealed with Girl Scout tape will be accepted - Cases MUST be returned to original pickup cupboard

Using the 2024 “How to hold a caregiver” training for reference, work with the troop leader to plan educational meetings for Girl Scout entrepreneurs and caregivers. Share important deadlines and collect signed Caregiver Agreement forms (forms are a part of the Troop Cookie Packet mailed in early December. Ensure each entrepreneur has cookie selling materials. • Order card • Goal getter order card (paper) • Money envelope • Cookie Program for Entrepreneurs Coordinate adult volunteers (registered and background checked) to help with the cookie program.

To do list: Gain access to eBudde (ensure all girls are listed and verify ACH banking information). Sign up for cookie booths if your troop chooses to do them (check out the available booths slots listed in eBudde under the booths tab and check back often). Schedule girls to work cookie booths in shifts, if needed. Submit your troop starting inventory order by January 18, 2024 at 8pm. When submitting your troop starting inventory order don’t forget to select delivery date/time/location. Pick up cookies from delivery. Sort cookies by girl, then have caregivers pick up cookies from you for delivery to their customers. Advise them to contact their cookie customers to make delivery arrangements right away.

To do list: Collect money from caregivers throughout the program and deposit into your troop bank account regularly. Always ensure that you are keeping receipts from money and cookies you distribute. Check with your troop leader for your troop account information if you are not a signer on the bank account. Give girls credit for sales by allocating all sold cookies in eBudde. Unsold cookies that are left over should be allocated at end of the program.

Balance Girl Orders Tab and Reward Submission (Mar. 5, 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.) Objective: Troop cookie managers learn how to balance their girl orders tab and allocate all cookies and reward submission by the caregiver through digital order card, how to cross check in eBudde, and submit their final rewards by the deadline - Little Brownie Bakers rewards vs high-end council rewards - Parent responsibility to pick up high-end rewards Product Program Office Hours (Mar. 12, 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.) Objective: Opportunity to ask the Product Program Team cookie questions
To do list: Make final deposits of money to your troop account and be aware of the dates for the automatic (ACH) debits from the troop account to the council account. Make any rewards selections including shirt sizes, if needed, in eBudde and submit your troop’s final reward order. Receive rewards, sort by individual girl and arrange delivery to girls in your troop within two weeks of receiving them. And EXHALE! :)

RETURNING TROOPS: If banking info is not showing properly in eBudde by Jan. 12, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. all contacts will be marked inactive in the eBudde system. If a starting inventory order has already been placed, it will be removed. If this happens to your troop, please contact customer care at 317.924.6800 for assistance. NEW TROOPS: If you do not have banking info to supply during training, please place banking information on your Settings Tab in eBudde no later than Feb. 23, 2024. Failure to provide banking information by this date may result in all contacts being marked inactive from the eBudde system until banking information is resolved. DOLLAR PULL, BOUNCE PAYMENTS, OR ACCOUNT NOT FOUND = COOKIE MANAGER REMOVED FROM EBUDDE UNTIL RESOLVED CAREGIVER DEBT: If payment is not made by a caregiver who has taken responsibility for cookies, please complete and submit a Past Due Cookie Account form no later than Mar. 15, 2024, via the form on the Product Program Cookie Central page on the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana website. TROOP DEBT: Troop cookie managers who fail to pay their cookie bill risk losing their volunteer status as well as legal recourse.
