about our ceo As CEO of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania, Natalye Paquin, Esq. is responsible for oversight of $40 million in assets, managing a $17 million annual operating budget, and leading a workforce of over 450 including part-time and seasonal employees. As the state’s largest girl-serving organization and among the largest Girl Scout councils in the nation, GSEP’s footprint covers nine counties in eastern Pennsylvania. Paquin oversees 2,400 acres of land, which includes nine campsites, six retail stores and six office buildings. GSEP serves more than 40,000 girls ages 5–18 with the support of nearly 15,000 adult volunteers. Girl Scouts develops leadership skills in girls to prepare them as successful global citizens. Prior to joining the Girl Scouts as CEO in 2010, Natalye was the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of The Kimmel Center, Inc., directing the center’s day-to-day operations across three venues: the Kimmel Center, the Academy of Music, and the Merriam Theater (2006–2010). In that role, she oversaw a $35 million budget and led a work force of close to 300 employees and volunteers. Natalye moved to Philadelphia from Chicago in 2002 to serve in two key leadership roles for the School District of Philadelphia, first as Chief of Staff until 2004, and then as Chief Operating Officer until 2006. Paquin was Managing Deputy Commissioner for the City of Chicago’s Department of Transportation (2001–2002). Prior to that , she worked with the Chicago Public Schools as an attorney, Senior Advisor to the Board President, and Chief Purchasing Officer where she was responsible for $1 billion in annual expenditures (1994–2001). Her work in education began as a Regional Attorney with the United States Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights, managing cases across six mid-western states (1989–1994). Natalye began her career in private practice as a litigation attorney (1986–1989). Natalye holds a Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University, College of Law; and a bachelors of science in psychology from Florida A&M University. She was a national fellow of the Broad Urban Superintendents Academy, and completed two Executive Education Programs at Harvard Business School, and Loyola University Business School. In 2004, Natalye was a national guest of the United States Air Force JAG Civic Leaders Tour. She is married and has two young-adult sons.
