SHELLEY B. THOMPSON Board of Directors Chair

Shelley B. Thompson, a proud Girl Scout for life, joined Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles’ Board of Directors in 2015 and was elected board chair in 2018. Serving simultaneously as chair of the board and chair of the External Relations Committee, Shelley’s leadership has been instrumental in elevating GSGLA’s profile and fundraising for three crucial initiatives—the rebuilding of Camp Lakota, creation of the Inglewood Innovation Center, and development of GSGLA’s inaugural Gold Award Gala in 2019.

Shelley has been an advocate not only for today’s Girl Scouts but for the longterm health and success of GSGLA, actively recruiting and mentoring board members and volunteering her legal expertise to expand GSGLA’s planned giving program. In 2019 she led the CEO search committee, ensuring a smooth transition in executive leadership. your girls needed protection.
