Key Benefits Of Girl Scout Summer Camp • Develop and cultivate girls’ selfidentity, self-worth, self-esteem, and self-respect. • Build girls of courage, confidence, and character by providing opportunities for girls to experience camp life on their own. • Focus on the 3 keys to leadership: discover new skills within themselves, connect with others through team building and problem solving, and take action by making things better at camp and in their communities. • Provide a safe environment that encourages leadership, imagination, and acceptance as well as a community where girls feel less at risk.

A Message From Our Interim CEO

Registration and Information

Greetings parents and campers!

• Please register your child online via gswny.org by clicking the Day Camp Registration link.

We're absolutely thrilled about the upcoming 2024 Summer Camp Season! Camp is a time for girls to immerse themselves in an experience that transcends mere fun—it's an opportunity to cultivate lifelong memories and skills that will be foundational throughout life's journey. Our camps serve as a haven filled with positivity, aligning with the cherished traditions of Girl Scouts while nurturing friendships and sparking the excitement of personal growth, all under our guiding theme: "Be a force of nature." Girl Scout camp offers many benefits: 1

Learning is an adventure at camp; children engage socially and collaborate to solve problems, making education a joyful experience.

2

Camp life nurtures courage, confidence, and character, fostering independence and resilience in girls.

3

Trained and caring camp counselors surround our campers, ensuring they feel supported, accepted, and capable.

These benefits don’t just make camp fun; they create an environment where girls thrive and grow into the next generation of confident, capable leaders. We encourage you to explore our programs with your child and help her choose a summer adventure she’ll love. Remember, by enrolling her in Girl Scout camp, you're not just providing a summer of excitement—you're granting her a legacy of invaluable skills and memories. Don't miss out—register her today! Yours in Girl Scouting,

Javeena A. Edwards Interim CEO and CFO Girl Scouts of Western New York, Inc. 4
