How to Use the Program Guide
1. Meet with your troop or Girl Scout to create a plan for the year. As a girl-led organization, it’s important that Girl Scouts are a part of the planning process so they can weigh in on what programs and workshops are important to them. Giving them the opportunity to plan out their year as a troop helps build their teamwork and conflict resolution skills.
2. Discuss which Girl Scout journeys, badges and activities girls would like to earn and take part in. Older girls may want to create a long-term plan as they look to achieve their Highest Awards.
3. Update families about what the girls are interested in. Share a link to this Program Guide so they can see what activities and events are being offered. Events are a great way for families to get involved, see the benefits of Girl Scouting first-hand, and have an opportunity to lend a helping hand.
4. Consult Volunteer Essentials. Familiarize yourself with the policies and procedures for troop activities and field trips.
5. Get registered! Search for an event in gsEvents. Register to reserve your spot!
Council Sponsored Programs/Activities
These events are led by staff, community partners, or volunteers. Leaders or approved adults are required to attend events with their Girl Scouts and are responsible for ensuring the safety and behavior management of the girls. If a girl is attending without a troop, a caregiver must chaperone and be responsible for only their girl at an event. All overnights require official Volunteer status including membership and background check.

Travel the World with Girl Scouts of WNY
10 Days – July 2026
On this trip, we’re going to get our hands dirty (literally) as we experience the farm-to-table journey throughout Ireland—by visiting two amazing Irish cities, and several local farms around the country. Get to know Irish farmers and fishermen, learn about the business of farming, and engage in hands-on projects at dairy, potato, shellfish, or sheep farms. Balance your time on the Emerald Isle by exploring the vibrant, culture-packed, and welcoming streets of Dublin, Kilkenny, and Galway, and admire the Atlantic Ocean from atop the Cliffs of Moher.
13 Days – July 2027
On this tour we’ll explore Rothenberg, Munich, Innsbruck, Venice, Verona, Adelboden, Heidelberg, Strasbourg, and Paris! The Black Forest in Germany evokes a world of Brothers Grimm fairy tales. Bavarian Munich proudly displays its folkloric traditions, while the dramatic mountain scenery of Adelboden sets an awe-inspiring tone. You'll also have the opportunity to take part in a pinning ceremony at Our Chalet, the oldest of the five WAGGGS Centres, as well as see the Eiffel Tower and explore the Louvre in Paris and the Palace and Gardens of Versailles.
