COOKIE PROGRAM OVERVIEW
We’re working like busy bees to make sure this year’s Cookie Program is fun, safe, and flexible. Here are the highlights: Meet Bree, the Honeybee! We think this year’s cookie mascot is just the bee’s knees! Bees like Bree are super-important pollinators for flowers, fruits, and veggies. She’s quick, active, and very adaptable—just like our cookie sellers!
Introducing the new Toast-Yay! cookie: With its comforting flavor and delicious icing, this French toast-inspired cookie is sure to bring moments of joy to cookie lovers!

We’ll cover your Smart Cookies credit card fees. The Smart Cookies credit card feature is now even sweeter! To support contactless payments, Girl Scouts River Valleys will cover the fees for girl and troop credit card transactions when they use Smart Cookies to process payments.
50% off Smart Cookies direct ship shipping fees when a customer: 1) chooses the direct ship option and 2) purchases at least six packages of cookies or more.
More contactless payment options: Girls are able to collect online payment from friends and family that purchase cookies through her cookie link in Smart Cookies. Families are also able to use contactless pay when paying troops for their cookie inventory. (Will driving to the bank soon be a thing of the past?) Some resources have moved to online-only. In response to COVID-19 and its ongoing guidance changes, we’ve changed some of our resources to be online-only, like this Troop Cookie Manager Guidebook and both the Troop and Family Cookie Responsibility Forms.
Plus, we’ve created some great online tools to best help families participate in the cookie sale—like a Participation Options Chart and a real-time Cookie Dial that highlights the cookie sales options that follow community guidance.
“Bee” a sister through the rewards program! This year, girls can give back through rewards. At select reward levels, girls have the opportunity to donate to pollinator protection.
So long, S’mores! This is the final cookie season for Girl Scout S’mores, so be sure to stock up. (But that means a new cookie is coming for 2022...wait, did we just say 2022?!)
INTRODUCING: THE COOKIE DIAL
Check out our Cookie Dial on Cookie Central. The dial will be updated to alert both volunteers and families on how sales activities are impacted when any program participation changes occur. Under the dial, you will find a list of cookie activities which are currently allowed (and those on pause, if applicable).
2. Key Duties
We hope you’re excited! As a troop cookie manager, you have a large role, but we truly believe the benefits of helping girls learn new skills and grow their confidence, is just as big of a reward.
