The highly varied Slovenian coast offers many opportunities for nautical tourism. It is specifically for amateur mariners that the first edition of the Slovenian Nautical Handbook, was intended. It sets out all information necessary for navigation, safe mooring, or visiting the sights along our coast. In addition to specific descriptions, it contains, in accordance with IHO standards, detailed charts of ports and marinas, not to mention interesting information about the Slovenian sea, coast, and seabed. The user is also provided with a useful overview of prevailing navigation regulations.
This second edition is issued in English, mainly in order to bring this small but diverse and interesting northern part of the Adriatic closer to foreign visitors of the Slovenian coast that are coming in large numbers. This handbook should be used in conjunction with other nautical charts and publications, and we will ensure that the information is regularly updated and remains accurate.
