This book documents the work done by the Bremen sculptor KURT LETTOW. His sculptures are spread all over Germany, but are mainly to be found in churches, as sacred history was his main source of inspiration.
When the St Nikolaus church in Bremerhaven,Wulsdorf was due to bedemolished, his daugther, Julia Van Wilpe in a joint effort with the Patrimonial Office, rescued the huge mural made by her father.
After this experience she felt inspired to catalogue and publish her father's vast body of work. The main challenge in the realisation of this book was to salvage old photographs of the era, which often had to be retouched as they were damaged or blurred .
