furniture design ULIA COLLECTION 2020
GJC (mediterranean sustainable furniture)
In 2013 in Puglia (Italy) a disease started spreading, Xylella. This particular disease made thousands of olive trees dry out from the inside.
There are no curative measures against this bacterium, except for grubbing up and destroying the contaminated plants and controlling the insect vectors.
Olive trees owners started cutting down the infected trees in order to avoid further contamination, but they didn’t really know what to do with the wood, since the main use of an Olive Tree is to produce olives. So they turned it into firewood or crumbles to make pellet.
I came up with an initiative to reclaim all this beautiful olive wood to make the Ulia Collection.
Olive wood is a valuable material that in normal circumstances would never be available in such large quantities since Olive Trees have been classified as a UNESCO heritage.
With the Ulia Collection we want to honor the beauty and the history of these trees so that the customer can take home a piece of history and heritage of this beautiful land.
Ulia Collection Objects The Products of the collection have a sleek and clean apperance, leaving the olive wood as the star of the show.
The Objects are sculptural and one of a kind.
Chopping Board set Pocket Mirror Shelves Chess Board Bowls Set
Ulia Collection Furniture The Furniture pieces in the Collection, like the Flying Sofa or the Daybed have an even cleaner and sculptural approach to the design language, since the scale of these Furniture pieces are bigger it was imperative that they were statement objects.

MILANO is an innovative wardrobe system, its soul stands in the contraposition of horizontal and vertical lines just like in the city from which takes its name, underlined by the use of two different materials, an earthy wood and an elegant steel. It offers a variety of solutions and combinations, which makes it a perfect fit for environments with different personalities: all black for rebellious elegant souls and a more classic and warm one with brown oak and brass.
Hasu furniture design furniture design contest 2020 CLIENT: Tomasella (furniture design brand)
The HASU Collections is composed of a Double Bed, two Bedside Tables, a Drawer Dresser and a Narrow Chest of Drawers. The word Hasu means “Lotus flower“ in Japanese. The Collection takes a new perspective on the classic Japanese Design, marrying the ideas of simplicity and functionality. The rigorous shapes of the Japanese culture merged with Italian craftsmanship result into a balanced collection made of elegant lines and a strong personality that make it an ideal fit for homes/ apartments and the hospitality sector as well.

Lif LIF is an innovative system for growing plants indoors. Designed for the Danish company Normann Copenhagen. LIF is a sculptural and modular object that aims to make home gardening easy and intuitive.
Adaptable to multiple structures, it follows the entire development process of the plant, from seed to flower. It uses blue and red LED lights, specific for the sprouting, flowering and photosynthesis of plants. product design master’s graduation project
In addition to the lamp LIF is composed of a STICK that is

of the plant. The STICK communicates directly with the lamp by adjusting the light intensity based on the PH and the soil moisture.
The OLLA vase was designed to make soil hydration easy and effortless. Often the health of the plant is closely linked not only to light but also to humidity. OLLA has a specific shape to ensure that the roots can absorb water directly from the clay walls of the tank positioned at the center of the vessel.

furniture design internship 2018 CLIENT: Normann Copenhagen (furniture company)
Normann Copenhagen
My daily role at Normann Copenhagen was to produce new design concepts for their accessories, lighting and furniture range and for the upcoming new brand Tivoli.
I was given six projects at once with inspirational images from other designs or moodboards. Overall I designed many products ranging from lamps, glasses, trays etc.
