The cultural globalization and the consecutive decline of the identity f, bring the art (meant like human creation), facing with a self identity problem, what it should be exprees more? Dodecaphonic cultural design should be, maybe, the key for a new visual and spacial expression. After a pasionate study, my eager interest for the architcture brought me in this frame where I had the occasion to learn more from your Stu- 3 dio, and about the way you draw the space and let feel the architecture. I was intressed and fashinated in your and, also, in your country way to express the human enviroment; where cultural differences and different inspires can help me to grow up and let me able to express my inner intentions with the right grammar. Which are the sensations that tell apart the genius loci for place

identity? The actual migratory fluxes bring to exasperation and loss of identies the urban places . How must the Architecture face it? Since now the Architecture try â&#x20AC;&#x153;to save the situationâ&#x20AC;?, it creating a series of icon buildings that detach themselves from the urban enviroment; the relationship between them and us is becaming just a rapid astonishment or a passive use. Other times the Architecture decide to vanish, to camouflage, to wear a battle dress against its enemy: the surrounding. So moving the camera in direction of the people, the real actors of the scene; maybe the latters could be a possibility to escape from this cultural uncertainty situation. This thesis project wants to identify in the web, synonymous of chaos and desorder, a strong point. It try to create a parallel line between cultural connections and a network of faĂ§ades,spaces and paths, that organize themselves into a Systemic Architecture. When the people live a place, their minds record the spaces, the shapes that they see and feel; this sensations become part of us, part of our cultural baggage. Our inner space or mind-space create a parallel world where we reconize ourselves, creating identity. When we move in other places we bring this space with us, and improve it with other new experiences. We always create a systemic identity ever in transformation.

For the new accomodation of the actual school of cinema in Rome was choose to use the old and abbandoned hangar behind the actual building. The aim of the project was not only create a space for studi and produce cinema’s works, but create an architecture that express temporariness, nonlinear ways, casuality and fantasy; in other awords a “movie set architecture”. All the volumes and plans are organized around a series of structural “boxes” where a main stairs connects the study and directional parts , starting from a space bar “in between” with the entrance and the central production hall. The material’s construction was important for express the movie set impression (plywood, cardboard, metal sheets,chain link, etc) but the real “architectural engine” is the light. It will have a gradual evolution, starting strong and direct for became diffuse and soft since to disapper. The roof became a series of volumes hang up to the existing trusses, it crack under the direct light, opening in a system of white fibreglass surfacing shaping like a molt matter. They diffuse the light in the workspace rooms while the methcrylate floor continues to bring the light to the lower spaces, these passages makes the light more soft (for respect the under recording activities). From one perforate metal cube fills in the worskspace floor, the light arrive down a little more strong and became the hinge where the main stairway twist its parts,a link of “mix-objects”, like an ivy.

The Auditorium, a glass box cut in diagonal by a series of paper sheet. The latter one have a double function: first of all astructural function for the platea and cover of the box,and second like sun sheder. Its shape is design in wich way the box receve only the diffuse light. The Promenade is a façade that crosses the main “Expo Fluxes” and brings up the people inside and above the building. The Promenade is not only place of commercial and market activities; it is design like a space of production, where people can live and buy food direct from the producers. From the architectonical point of view, this element became symbol of the main axe of the expo masterplan, and in a “post expo” situation, it will became a central point for the urban settlement of the area. It will create a fast connection with the underground station , the actual Milano Fiera and the Expo district. The Office building moreover hosts office plans and a biological restaurant for cooking and eating the foods and vegetables just picked up and bought from the market ramp.

What happen if a body in accelleration stop itself suddenly? What

happen to its inner space? If an orderly architecture lives in a time where the speed is everywhere, and stop itself for looking inside what does it see? A man that wants escape from the accelleration of the chaotic life, freeze himself and try to see over, search behind his looking-glass. The challenge was immaginate this body, already organizate, that pull up and the time inside it became weak, sticky and slowly. The inner paths, once time organizated, are now mixed; the user theat walk around doesnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t have a target, a place to reach, but only the exploration. The space became situation for learn, discover and loss. The space want that you learn from it and it want learn from you. The space is something that wrapped you, but at the same time u wrapped it. The architectural volumes, plans and points became a system of sensations, that juxtapose, creates inside of you an emancipation of consciousness, that the order is only a particular perception of the chaos. The order is a special case, and depends of youre way to feel it.

The workshop organize a cultural mix team that has to set a new

organization and some new temporary structure in the archeological site of Villa Adriana near Tivoli in Italy. In a climate of two weeks for discover and understood the site and organize the team and the ideas under strong pressure, was choose an approach to the site really soft and artistic. The architectural operations consist in a info point and musuem used like new access for the site, it follows the 18th century grid of olive trees for its space organization; and a series of micro-intervents that provide a consciousness and an understanding of the architectonic space of the villa. My principal role was design the outfitting on the Teatro Marittimo and the Sala dei Filosofi. First one was interpreted in its intimacy, it was a home, maybe where the emperor turn in tranquillity, for this was design a series of copy of the statue of the emperor and his family, all in fiberglass in which way they are possible illuminate during the night; moreover the statues look inside the center of the circular geometry. The second site, the Sala dei Filosofi, is thout like a volume, re-interpreted the ruin and the past hall, like a huge void. The user can feel this void only from outside where they see a series of mirror volume that fill up the space. From the inside the user discover some statue and finds inside the mirror volumes, that creating also a maze for the user, confusing him; after all how the Villaâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s planimetry made too.

The main aim of the urban operations is created a link between the

city of Milan and its rural part. In this particular place, called Ronchetto sul Naviglio, there is a river presence with two line of blocks, and a huge area without idenity that is situated in the bordeline with the rural fields. First challenge was found a way to connect the orientation of the fields on the south with the inclined grid of the town. The second goal to reach was choose what kind of city could be possible in a borderline situation. This self-impose starts request to develop an idea of a real borderline city, a place where doesn’t exist the “urban” town but neither the rural town. So a place where people can move with eco-sostenible pod cars, that connect all the dwellings to an upper level, and connect to the rest of the town with a tram line. The residential architecture live together with the rural life, guarantee thanks to a series of stripes that organize the urban space and moreover they are cultivable. The central part of the neighborhood hosts the main services, like market, shops pod car and tram station, on the east part is set also an outdoor theater, for create a pole activity that dialogue with the surrounding town.This central service area permitt “to squeeze” the grid create a fluid and organic connection between the rural field and town orientation.

The leitmotif choose for the design process was the “dynamism” .

It’s important fixed the point about the design requests : organize a void in the urban weft with a multipurpose hall and design a pavillion; the last one should be annex in a row with other pavillions from different parts of the world. Both the buildings have pubblic uses, but the concept of “dynamism” is interpreted like a variation of a “Boccioni’s sculpture” about the multi-purpose hall, in the sense that the building chainges his angles and perspective according with the position of the users. Whereas the pavillion’s theme was explain youre home town, in this case: Rome. The idea of pavillion lets the design process more intrisic in its interpretation of the theme. So the “dynamism” became here a mental process; how to understand the shape in according with the explanation of the town. In this studio the multi-purpose hall became a building that move around the plot its parts, and the user can follow its evolution or the building follow the user path. So with a distinction of its parts: “heavy and light”, was possible made a choise about what distort and what rotate. Rather that the pavillion that uses a similitude with the porosity of Rome, for create a inner façade that open and bring the light inside the volume, escaving it. So this surface create space and different experience for different inner uses.

Although the latter one should be more sure in the choises presented, it shows to be blurry on the actual rocking and unstable real estate market. So the idea is fixed some points with a such of number of relationships, this strategy net should be a sort pillow for a future evolution of the urban regulate by market. Some points are put down the places for new construction site, during a time line. So it is possible scheduling the operations in base the priority. In this studio we set like more important operation the new buisiness and residential center, for the regeneration of the old rail way line that include also a huge cargo area now inhactive. This center will use the residential edge cities, and the services that float around it like the Idroscalo, the Linate airport, Linate lake, new rural park and so on, like strong points for develop a inner strategy that organize tham for the next fifty years. The idea is create a sistemyc organism that use all the potentiality of the whole area, and join them with services and connection line, for set down the bases of a new future join city. It was developed for the actual request by the Milan municipality a new train station and different way to sell the volume of the plots.

of this scenography project to Opera House in Rome. The ballet was wrote for leave to the actors, scenographer, costumer and every body work to the opera, much as possible a freedom interpretation, with a minimum of storytelling and cast. Then the design scenography find in the surrealism movement its own leitmotiv. All the parts of the project are thinking for bring and detach the public into a no possible dimensions. The door has a central point in the composition and in the scene space, from the door some pictures of DalĂŹ or Lempicka appears bright in the dark, like place of another dimension, some terraces fly vacant on the actors heads, and a huge bend door is the platform for the ballet, that also comes out from the sipario limit going over the orchestra pit. The door became the analogy of a limit that exist between us and the immeasurable world of the Theatre.
