A Candle’s Life
All candles begin their life somewhere.
The story starts with a small matchbox.
Where inside a little match lays.
This is Mat.
He stood looking at the tall candle before him.
In the blink of an eye
Mat lights his sleeping friend.
“Hey I’m Jack” “I’m Mat”
They introduced themselves, happily making a new friend.
The two talked for what seemed like hours.
But slowly Mat grew older, and eventually burnt out.
Jack didn’t understand why his friend had to go so soon.
He became mad and his flame got Hotter... and Hotter...
Until he lit the whole table on fire.

He was so sad and confused. He thought it isn’t fair, Until...
Along came Lucy the lighter.
“It’s okay to feel sad or mad when you’ve lost someone you love.”
“But we need to keep burning bright.”
“And keep all our loved ones in our hearts.”
Lucy talked all about her friends who came and went.
Slowly Jack got smaller... and smaller...
“Don’t worry, soon you’ll see your friend again.”
Jack sighed in relief,
and was ready to say goodbye.
