The region is shaped next to the historical city wall. The problems of the area surrounded by historical texture and residences are silence, lack of identity, security and loneliness.

City, Chamber and Human relations are emphasized. The room has features like shelter, protection, asylum and storage. The room descriptions in Michel Perrot's History of Rooms were examined and it was seen that the definition was shaped according to identity of the room, such as patient rooms, workers' rooms, and hotel rooms. Then, the feature and definition of Istanbul were questioned. Istanbul has been home to many civilizations since the early ages, and it has been
determined that it is a Palimpsest city by laying traces of different periods side by side or on top of each other. The layers that have important places in identity of the city cannot be read, not recognized by citizen and thus the layers are deleted from the collective memory. 09

Kuzguncuk is a district in Uskudar district on the Anatolian side of Istanbul. Kuzguncuk is cosmopolitan, nostalgic and has a spirit. Intergenerational communication breaks when collective memory does not continue.
