TAYLOR POLICE DEPARTMENT

National Police Week is May 12-18 and recognizes officers for their work to protect and serve. Councilman Mitch Drummond read a proclamation to honor the members of the Taylor Police Department. May 15 is Peace Officer Memorial Day in honor of all fallen officers and their families. US flags should be flown at half-staff on that day. According to Taylor Police Chief Henry Fluck, the city of Taylor has only lost two officers in the line of duty. Photo by Jason Hennington

OUR MISSION It is the mission of the Taylor Police Department to provide the highest level of proactive and responsive service to the City of Taylor in partnership with neighborhoods and the entire community. We shall endeavor to detect and solve problems to thereby afford the citizens of Taylor the highest quality of life possible. This service shall be provided with honor, integrity and pride.
