Resist the urge to snap a shot in these places to avoid an #InstaFail While it's totally cool to snap selfies in most places, there are certain situations where it's just not OK. Read on to find out where you should NEVER snap a selfie.

At a Funeral Believe it or not, funeral selfies are a thing, according to this viral Tumblr. (Um, #TotesInapprops?) We hate to break it to you, but it's totally creepy to see a funeral photo in your feed—especially with a coffin in the background. (Crazy enough, it happens.)
At a Nail Salon Another thing that no one wants clogging up their feed? Feet and toes! Particularly the before shots that show just how much you needed that pedicure.
At Your Office Posting a selfie at work is like text messaging your boss "Look how much work I'm not doing!"
In a Movie Theater And we thought people who text in the middle of key scenes were bad.
On a Race Course Unless you're looking to trip up other runners while you're pausing to smile for the camera. In that case, sure, why not.

In a Bathroom Stall Sure, bathroom stalls are full of inspiring hashtags. ("#NoTP #FML" comes to mind). But since you probably wouldn't invite your followers into the stall, think twice before you broadcast the selfie you take in there.
In a Fitness Class Because the sweaty girl behind you is going to be so pissed she may just keep "accidentally" bumping into you the rest of the class.

ladies’ skin glow. As you can see from the pictures, the day was very successful! It only took 4 hours for each lady but, they were red carpet ready!
Lidia And Zac Posen
The dresses are on, hair and make-up are finished, the photos and interviews are completed. The ladies were whisked away in their chariots to the EMMYS. Backstage at the EMMYS,
fashion designer, Zac Posen, spotted Lidia in her snake dress. He wanted to know who made her dress and loved the entire look. For Tia, the night was capped off at the Governor’s Ball, where she was asked “what category did she win?” Why best hair piece of course! UNTIL NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I
t is that time of year again. The gold trophies are polished and the red carpet is down. Tinsel Town is buzzing “Who is going home with the gold?” The other buzz as always is about the dress. “Who are you wearing?” For the second year in a row, Blanchet Designs www.blanchetdesigns.com was asked by the producers to design a dress. Ms. Blanchet chose professional model Lidia Trainer-Domasgalska to wear Blanchet Design’s one of a kind Velvet Snake Skin Dress with Angel Wings. To complete the look, she enlisted the master skills of sacia O Couture Head Wear http://www.saciaO.com for a unique head piece which completed “the Look”. . Professional actress/model/ television host, Tia Bar, for her second year in a row asked sacia O to custom design a head piece to compliment her dress for
the red carpet and dinner at the Governor’s Ball. The ladies wanted to look their best, so they enlisted the help of professional hair artist, Martin Rodriguez http:// martinrodriguez.com and celebrity make-up artist, Paul Fisher http:// www.MakeupByPaul.com. As is typical on award’s day, each lady’s day began at 8:00 am sharp with breakfast and a round table discussion on how her hair and make-up should be done to best compliment “the dress” and to “shine” on the red carpet. Martin brought his custom products to give each lady special treatment on her hair. Paul customized the make-up in his salon to go with the colors of each dress and make the

he concept of Cruze started in 2001 by General Motors (GM). In earlier days, it was a hatch back in a joint venture with Suzuki. The present day Cruze’s first renderings were revealed by GM on July 15, 2008 since then, Cruze is referred to a 4-door compact sedan. But, now since 2011 a 5-door hatchback version is also available. It is also referred as Holden Cruze in Australasia and Daewoo Lacetti Premiere (from 2008 to 2011) in South Korea. In 2013 Cruze, there is nothing new but a mild facelift in the previous version with the air vents around the fog lamps being redesigned entirely, and the grille and headlights also receiving minor updates.
NOV. 2013 glamcob | 19
Engine & Performance It is available both in petrol (1.4L) and diesel (2.0L). But here we talk about the diesel variant only. The available diesel variants are:
#Chevrolet Cruze LT: 2.0 L (1,991 cc) VCDi (Variable Geometry Turbo Common Rail Direct Injection) It churns out a peak power of 150 BHP with 360 Nm of torque. It has 6-speed manual transmission.
#Chevrolet Cruze LTZ: This sedan has the same above engine with luxurious features only.
#Chevrolet Cruze LTZ AT:
You can boast of the highest power in this segment with a 4-cyl inline engine and yes you can compare it with a V6 2.8L Audi engine which has a lower torque curve. Larger gear ratios let you cruise through city without changing gear often as it give more linear power delivery. That’s why the Cheverolet calls it a diesel rocket. The power under the hood can let you cross 100 kmph mark in just 9.7 seconds and can hit the top speed mark of 184 kmph. It is not only a power house but its is economical also in this segment. It give 18.3 kmpl on highway and 14 kmpl in city.

Cruze Design The exterior dimensions of Chevrolet Cruze are: Length- 4,597mm Width- 1,788mm Height-rails 1,477mm Wheelbase- 2,685mm Turning radius- 5.45 meters. In this cruel market and high competition, Cruze is a real head turner. It’s the candy of everyone’s eyes. If you look an attracting grille with chrome working around and aggressive headlamps, with an overall muscular and descent looks, it is this, the Cruze. Body Colored Bumpers, Front Fog Lamps, Body Colored Door Handles, Body Colored outside Rear View Mirror, 17 inch Alloy Wheels and Stylish Rear Combination Lamps are some other major features.
Interior dimensions are: Headroom- 999mm (Front) and 963mm (Rear) Legroom- 1074mm (Front) and 917mm (Rear) Shoulder room- of 1391mm (Front) and 1370mm (Rear) Since it is a diesel rocket, hence the interiors will make you feel like you are sitting in a cockpit. The controls are managed in such a flowing manner that it really looks like a cockpit. Its interiors include the black leather seats and dual tone upholstery. the steering wheel is made of three spokes. Others features that makes the interior of Chevrolet Cruze stylish are Leather Steering Wheel, Leather Gear Knob, Leather Seats, Aluminium-effect trim inserts on doors & centre console, Aluminium-effect trim inserts on steering wheel and Aluminium-effect instrument trim rings. With all above features, is has a less leg space

2.0 L (1,998 cc) VCDi powerful engine churning out a peak power of 164 BHP with 360 Nm of torque coupled with an excellent 6-speed automatic transmission.
Chassis & Safety The most attracting feature about this sedan is that according to GM, the Cruze’s body structure is 65 percent high-strength steel. The engine is mounted on the 4-points of its under-structure. The safety cage is reinforced by tubular bar pillars. It has MacPherson struts in the front suspension with a solid torsion beam and U Shaped Rear Suspension with Torsion Beam and all with Gas Charged Shock Absorbers axle for the rear, avoiding the cost and complexity. It absorbs most of the bumps on its way and provides you stability at higher speeds. The steering wheel has hydraulically assisted rack and pinion system. The front brakes are ventilated disc while the rear brakes are solid discs. The front and the rear zones are crumpling zone. Though its DNA is American but still it manages to stick to the ground while cruising since the ground clearance is low. So it is equally good for the pedestrians. It is provided with the dual front airbags. It has also an ABS (Antilock Braking System) and EBD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution) to assist you while braking in emergency. Side Impact Beams, Height Adjustable Front Seatbelts, Front Seatbelts with Pretensioner, 3x3 Point Rear Seatbelts, Warning Lamp for Driver Seatbelt, Front Seatbelt Reminder, Height Adjustable Headrest with Tilting Function, Knee Protector, ISOFIX Child Seat Restraint System (2nd row outer rear), Child Locks and Central Locking are some other safety features.

What brought you to Splitsvilla? I believe in living life queen size and Splitsvilla is the only place where I could actually be the queen. Plus the show is about finding your love also, and I've always been unlucky in love, wanted to give it a try. Who is you favorite Splitsvilla contestant / partner? And, whom you dislike the most? I didn't dislike anybody, whatever happened was all in a moment. People who were in my group were my favorite bunch of people.

What's your interest in acting? Are you looking forward for your career in acting? I've always wanted to be an Actress, I was on and off associated with theatre. I've been getting few good offers, hoping for the best. Fingers crossed. Which fashion magazines, websites, blogs, and catalogs do you visit most often? To be very honest I do not religiously follow any magazine. But yeah I am socially very active. Do you have any specific rule in life? Never compromise for work and relationships. Have faith on yourself.
NOV. 2013 glamcob | 27
28 | glamcob NOV. 2013
What do you find most appealing in men that turns you on? I don't like hot guys, I am very fond of cute and cuddly guys. So a cute guy, who is very caring and has a great way of communicating would turn me on. What makes a woman / man hot & sexy? Is there a difference? A woman/ man should always be himself, herself. They shouldn't ever try to fake it. Believe in yourself. Think sexy, be sexy. What is the most mischevious or wildest thing you have ever done? Haha I am not wild, but mischievous oh yeah! I've done so so many such things.
Who is your favorite celebrity? Emraan Hashmi. Tell us about your fight with Poorvee? Hahahaha Poorvee, gosh! I don't even feel like talking about her. She was being double faced and that annoyed me so much that I took her case. What's your most embarassing or hurting moment in splitsvilla? I know how to turn my negative points into positive so nothing embarrasses me, but I was really hurt and disappointed when Poorvee backstabbed us and Ashwini had to leave.
NOV. 2013 glamcob | 29
Tell us about your relation with Gaurav? Then and Now. I had full trust on Gaurav, I always supported him. Just coz of him I fought with other contestants. I always took his stand coz I actually fell for him. Things were fine even after the show, but he was really a self centered guy. He didn't care about me and my feelings. No girl would accept a guy who is cheating on her with multiple girls. The same thing I did, I gotta know somehow that he was cheating on me, I still tried to make him understand, but he couldn't stop. He and me are no more together. He doesn't deserve my love. Yes I felt bad, but then I am glad I gotta know evrything on time. We're sorry that you have lost Splitsvilla. Had you made any strategy to win splitsvilla? There was no strategy. I was just being me. I lost just coz of my partner, but I am glad that I was there till d end n I never gave up.
30 | glamcob NOV. 2013
Now what's next after splitsvilla? Any other reality show or something else? I am so done with reality shows now. Concentrating on my dj'ing for now. You are a dj too. What taste do you have in music. I mean your favourite music? I love Bollywood music completely. It's a mindset of people in India that the DJ world is men's world. What do you feel about this? I'd like to laugh on those people. Nowadays lady DJ's are more in demand as compared to male DJ's. What's your fun mantra in life? Live your life to the fullest. Keep doing what you want to. How would you describe your style? I've my own style statement. I never copy anybody. Its simple yet hot, classy and stylish.I always carry a style in which I am totally comfortable. Anything you would like to say to your reader fans? I'd just say that whatever I am today that's all coz of your love and affection. Keep loving and keep supporting. Loads of love, mwah!

B
odybuilding is an activity that has to be continuous in order to maintain lasting results. Pairing such a commitment with a college schedule, however, is typically easier said than done. But local college students don’t have to sacrifice their bodybuilding goals for college. This article will hopefully shed some light on how to get your butt in shape amidst the busiest time of your life. We’ll discuss some basic principles that will get you on your way to being successful both in the gym and in life.
Setting your priorities
32 | glamcob NOV. 2013
College is the time to put forth a tremendous amount of focus into academics if you want to be successful. Taking control of your academic pursuits early on will give you unbelievable power and confidence. Combining a solid work ethic in the classroom with an intense attitude in the gym is a winning combination in college. I know that from my experience, high school was more about sports and partying for the most part. At University, the temptations are still there to drink and shrug off that morning class. Only this time the consequences for screwing up are much more severe. One of the biggest commonalities I hear from people is that drinking is a way to cope with stress and the demanding lifestyle that comes with being in college. This is definitely a negative way to deal with the situation, and no one truly
wants to succumb to it. Bodybuilding is the opposite; it is a “positive addiction” and one of the most effective ways for letting out steam and diminishing stress. Getting in the weight room on a regular basis can be the best thing for combating these adverse temptations because you will be more focused on achieving your goals in the classroom and with your physique. This doesn’t mean you should stay in every night! Having a beer will not halt your progress; however letting that one turn into eight will undoubtedly turn your efforts into a futile pursuit. Just say, “No thanks”, and know that your discipline and hard work will bring much more satisfaction than any amount of alcohol can. You may be surprised to find those same people are the ones asking you for advice about your passion and progress down the road. The bottom line is you have to make yourself happy and find those friends at your level who can push you to be your best, not bring you down.
..develop confidence in yourself and look great

Evaluate & Manage Create Realistic Fitness Goals Your Time Just recently, I started taking some economics classes, and one of the fundamental principles in economics is the term “opportunity cost.” Basically, with every decision that you make, you are giving something else up. When talking about time management, the same concept can be applied. For instance, if you watch 2 hours of TV, then that is 2 hours that could have been used to exercise, do homework, or something else. One of the big problems that I’ve had in college is spending too much time on the internet, which is a problem for a lot of college students. For me, spending too much time on the internet took away from taking care of business with school, which caused me to have to stay up late doing homework. Staying up late took away from my sleep and hindered my ability to get to the gym to take care of business. Of course, everything comes full circle as well. I eventually got so tired that I ended up having to take naps before I could get any homework done. The naps screwed up my sleep schedule so I ended up getting less sleep than I would have if I would have just stayed up and gone to bed at a reasonable hour. It was just this weird, complicated cycle that made life very difficult. I’ve seriously limited my time on the computer to things that I consider to be worth my time. Look at your own life and where you are spending your time. You might be surprised to find out that you could recover 3-5 hours of lost time every day by simply eliminating something from your life that is eating up all your time. 3-5 hours a day can give you enough time to work out, focus on school, get enough sleep, and enjoy life overall.
Seek Advice From A Pro
v
For some reason, this is something that college students really struggle with. A lot of people don’t really want to be realistic with what they can accomplish in a semester or over the course of a year. The reality of it is that getting the body you want takes a lot of time, effort, and discipline. Amazing bodies aren’t created overnight. If they were, then everyone would have the body they want. Be realistic with what you can accomplish in a semester or over the course of a year. Set realistic goals and also set extreme goals that you hope to achieve that go beyond the scope of what’s realistic. Doing this will give you a set of clear targets to pursue and will allow you to hone your mind on accomplishing those goals. Having those goals in mind got me in the right mindset to succeed. I was always thinking about gaining mass, which caused me to be extremely disciplined with my sleep, my eating, and my exercise. Set some goals and keep reinforcing those goals in your mind. You’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish when you mind is honed in on accomplishing specific objectives.
Students that are new to the bodybuilding game have a learning curve to overcome. Instead of asking your friends for their opinions or searching tons of websites online, find a local bodybuilding gym or training facility and make an appointment to talk with a professional trainer. Let them know you’re a college student and what your goals are. They can point you in the right direction. To make sure you’re covering all your bases, ask them to recommend the appropriate bodybuilding supplements and the best places to purchase them from locally.
Get In, Get Out & Get On With Life I think this is pretty self-explanatory. Don’t spend 2 hrs in the gym every day. Get in, accomplish what you need to, and get out. Your time at college is extremely valuable, and the last thing you want to do is waste it lounging around in a gym. Your workouts should not go any longer than an hour or so. I don’t care if you’re a girl trying to lose weight or a guy trying to build muscle. Get in, bust your butt, and get out.
NOV. 2013 glamcob | 33
There’s actually some science to back this up as well. Basically with intense exercise, your body will run out of glycogen (energy) within 40-60 min. Sometimes, you might be able to last for 90 min, but that’s about the maximum. By then, you’re usually just running off of fumes and your workouts are not very productive at that point. Get in, get out, and get on with life. Sounds like a great T-shirt slogan. It’s a great principle to live by.
Conclusion If you make your workouts a priority in college you will learn your body early, be able to cope with stress, develop confidence in yourself, look great, and it will be much easier to keep up with your efforts after school. You will leave knowing you stayed true to yourself, fought off temptation, made life-long friendships, achieved your goals, and found a healthy, lifelong hobby to assist you in leading a fulfilling life long after graduation.

The actress shares a Halloween treat that's actually good for you. “Just because it’s officially sweets season doesn’t mean your figure has to suffer. The latest proof? This delicious concoction from Jessica Alba, which she posted recently on honest.com, her eco company’s website. Dubbed her “Green Monster” smoothie, it’s filled with flavor—but is still majorly diet-friendly.
Kale There’s a reason this leafy green veggie is so popular among the health-conscious crowd: It’s nutritious and also really low in calories. That makes it a great base for a smoothie because you can slurp lots of it and still stay slim. Strawberries These babies are crazy-high in fiber, which helps you stay fuller longer. Translation: You may not be as tempted to dive into your candy jar that’s, ahem, reserved for trick or treaters. Raspberries Studies suggest that raspberries may boost your metabolism—score! Greek Yogurt It’s all about the protein in this dairy machine. Not only does it keep you satisfied for longer periods of time, but it also helps build serious muscle—both of which
help you stay lean. Raw Honey or Molasses Both honey and molasses have fewer calories ounce for ounce than regular sugar, which means you get all the delish flavor goodness without packing on pounds. Sweet! Make Jessica Alba's Green Monster Smoothie 2 cups raw organic kale, roughly chopped (organic spinach is also a substitute) 1/3 cup organic raspberries 1/3 cup organic strawberries, quartered 6 oz organic Greek yogurt, plain or vanilla 1 Tbsp organic raw honey or molasses Blend all ingredients, adding filtered water as needed to help the process. If you like a frozen drink, use frozen fruit or freeze your fresh kale after washing. Serve in festive cups or drink through a silly straw for extra fun!

Adreana Oncea’s conversation with Stacey Blanchet regarding her Paris Fashion Shoot.
I
Interview By / Adriana Oncea Fashion Designer / Stacey Blanchet Image By / Stacey Blanchet ( www.blanchetdesigns.com )
’ve admired Stacey Blanchet for a while now and I find all her work to be simply amazing, from the book she wrote, to the fashion that she created. It seems like this artist has more than an amazing mind and magical hands. There is even more to her and you are about to find out. We know that you are a Fashion Designer, Author and Film Producer and understand that you just got picked up by a management firm for public speaking. Out of all these different tasks that you do, which one is your favorite and why? That is a very hard question to ask me. I am not the kind of person who likes to have only one thing in my life. I like to create something out of nothing so all are very special to me for different reasons. But, the best reason of all are the wonderful people who have come into my life over the past year and whom I consider to be very good professional and personal friends.
Your clothing line was taken from fashion shows to the Primetime Emmys (2012) Oscars (2013) and Grammys (2013). Are there any goals that you would like to achieve by the end of this year? My only goal this year in terms of fashion designing is to finish two collections and have them sell at a boutique in Paris. We are on our way and then I will decide what the future holds for Blanchet Designs depending upon how well we do in the market place. Have you worked with any celebrities or plan on working in the future? It is not in our plans. We did the red carpet season and have no plans of yet to participate in the coming season but we have been asked so we shall see. I don’t want anything to take my focus off of the boutique in Paris. That is very important to me. How does it all work before the clothing gets out for sale and in other words, what is the science behind opening your own clothing line? You can either be a custom designer and do designs for the individual when needed or, you can be the designer
who goes into production and tries to get your clothing into the stores. It takes lots and lots of money or investors. Investors won’t invest unless you have capital and you can’t get capital unless you have sold. It is a hard, hard career to get into. If you decide to go into production you can either use the production houses in the United States or internationally. They are both equally hard and filled with challenges. That is such a loaded question that I tell all designers that are starting out, if you do not understand how a business works you won’t make it. This is a business first and foremost and you will make a lot of costly mistakes that can bury you. It is hard to know unless you know the individual and their creations. It all comes back to knowing your clients and what market you want to get into. One of the biggest mistakes a young designer makes is getting investors and not realizing that they sold their name along with taking the money. Talk with all types of designers and you will see this mistake plays out all over the place in every country. It doesn’t matter. No investor will invest their money without the name.
Models Day 1 : Laura Day 2: Petra
Is there a smart way to make money or save money with being a designer? The best answer I can give to this question is; know your market. YOU MUST know who you are selling your clothing to and what they will pay for clothing. If you don’t, you will lose a lot of money very quickly.

Your designs won our DÊbut’s cover and especially our hearts. Tell us a little bit about shooting this spread. In terms of shooting the spread, I turned it over to the professionals. Everyone on the team knew I wanted to see Paris in the photos and that was their only requirement. When I put this together, I had to let a lot of

the control go as I would not be able to be there. So I put my trust in the team to do the best job they could and I believe they did with all that I gave them to work with. They are an awesome group of people and I plan on using them always for my shoots if I can. It is important when you put your trust in people you pick the right ones. I did!

How was it to shoot with such a big team coming from different countries? This team was just simply amazing. There were several people who really stepped up to make this happen. Murielle picked up the clothing two weeks in advance and allowed all the shipments to come to her home and even offered to pick up the photographer from the airport. She lives 45 minutes outside of Paris. She was really my rock during this challenge as she spoke very little English but totally looked out for me in a way she didn’t have to. Carlos, coming from Portugal with his assistant Diogo was the best part of the shoot as he totally understood what I wanted. He does not speak English that well either, so we communicated through translations and photos. He mapped out ahead of time where he wanted to shoot and we all followed suit. Petra, the model on the second day, got a car so she could drive the entire team all around Paris to get those Iconic shots. She kept my clothes for me and we have put together another shoot in Paris for the 17th of July in the city of Paris again. Sophie sent me pictures of her make-up ideas so we were all prepared on what we wanted to accomplish for this two day shoot. Laura shot the first day and Petra shot the second day. Allard provided all the shoes from Holland and worked very hard to get them to Paris in time for the shoot. It is my feeling that the shoes really made the shoot so much better than it could have been. All in all it was very challenging and many, many, many long hours of planning almost a month to be exact. But, I felt worth it for Blanchet Designs.

Why did you choose to shoot this spread in Paris? Is there something more behind shooting in Paris? I made a deal with the boutiques in Paris, as per their requirement, if we shot my collection in Paris, they would waive a percentage of their fees for selling my clothing provided that I could put the pictures in Magazines. I always honor my word and commitments to people. They are getting everything they asked for and then some. Everyone from the team, boutiques and staff at Blanchet Designs, is pleased with all the attention.

How do you get your Design inspiration and is there something in particular that inspires you? I do not get inspired by a specific element but I love being in fabric stores. That is what inspires me to create. I get all my ideas when I look at fabric that is available and on-line. Understanding fabric lets you decide what you can do with it. I am a very structured person so my designs really reflect that. I like making statement pieces and doing something classic with a little bit of an edge.

Your successful book titled ‘Romantic Encounters’ sold over 300 copies in only 1 year on Amazon. Would you mind telling us a little about it? This book was originally written back in my late 20’s before the internet had eBooks. I was approached by a publisher for a company called ENOVEL.com and he asked that I take my original book which had hand sketches in it and create a CD and allow him to upload to his site and it sold for $5.00. My father helped me edit and we sold in two years about 300 copies. I put it in the back of my closet for about 10 years and then took it out and hired an illustrator about two years ago to update the book. This book is 15 ideas of how to bring romance back into your relationship. I am a time person. I believe that to many of us don’t give of our time and really miss out on lasting, healthy, romantic and meaningful relationships. So many are living their lives on social media for a show instead of with the person they are with. It is a bad game to play as you will never be fulfilled if you rely on masses to make you happy. It has to first start with you and a connection with your partner. That all comes down to one word: ‘TIME’. When I wrote this book it was personal as it had to do with a relationship that I was in during my early 20’s that was very important to me.

What is the story behind the “3Moms and a Napkin”, the documentary that you and Victor Master created and do you plan on producing any other projects in the future? I started ‘Augmented Reality’ with a friend of mine named ‘Manoj Sharma’ whom I did the 48 Hour Film Project with in San Diego, May of 2012 with our friend Jonathan Medal. We thought wouldn’t it be fun to make films? Not having a clue and really still don’t on how to make a film. The first film out was my documentary ‘The Journey to Myself’ and then we entered a contest called the “Focus Forward’ contest that was opened to the world to find something that was inspirational, innovative and that could change the world. A very tall order and we had 2 minutes and 50 seconds to tell our story. I put the team together and we focused in on these three incredible woman who started a film festival here in San Diego, called ‘The Young Leader Film Festival, http:// www.youngleadersfilmfestival.com/

in which they went to the Sundance Film Festival and brought back with them documentaries that were for the younger generation of 13-18 year olds to create leaders out of them and show them what is happening all around the world. When it came time for the festival, it was turned over to the children to run, question and manage the entire production. It is the only one of its kind in the world. We felt it was a great subject. However, we did not make it into the contest and now Victor Masters is entering it into the 2013/ 2014 film festival circuit. We shall see how it goes for us. After doing two movies and participating in every aspect except directing, I can tell you that I have no desire to do it again. But, that could change given the people and circumstances that present themselves to my life. I keep myself open but I am not looking for it.

For those whom have not watched the documentary of your life, called ‘The Journey To Myself’ (which was released in July 2012 and won the ‘Award of Merit’ for the Indie Film Festival, of La Jolla, California, and an ‘Official Selection’ of the Cine Fest of Las Vegas), is there a specific scene that moved you and why? This project started out so differently in terms of that it was supposed to be a behind the scenes movie about a designer just starting out and all that comes with it. When we finished shooting over an entire year, my friend Jonathan Medal, came to me and asked that we scrap the entire project and reshoot just me telling my life story. He felt that was a much better story. It took me 3 months to decide but because it was Jonathan, I did it. He is one of the nicest, warmest and caring people I have met in a long time. I totally trusted him. When we sat down to do the shooting, I took my glasses off and could not see my notes, so I spoke for three hours straight about my life. During that time, I found myself talking about a situation that occurred when my parents were splitting up and me watching the movers take my bedroom furniture out of the house with my ear phones on. My father came and sat with me and we both just cried at the end of our family. I never spoke of that day because it was such

a painful memory and the song that played still triggers sadness in me to this day. It is Chicago’s ‘If you leave me now’. It was a very sad time for us all as my parents loved each other very much but could not make it work. I think it shaped my whole feeling on marriage and family. I have always chosen not to do either. Doing the documentary changed my life in terms of going back and reliving all of this and coming to terms with it and realizing how it all affected me as an adult. I can now look back with a big smile on my face even with the bad memories. My parents even can look at it and feel proud of me instead of sad about how it all turned out. Now that is progress and growing up. We know that you are also a public speaker. If you were to give our reader an advice, what would it be? I have been asked over the year to speak in public regarding all aspects of my professional life. People want to know how you do all of this. I tell them it is lots and lots of hard work. Sometimes 12 hour days and working every single day until you finish. Because of all my hard work, it has caught the attention of a worldwide promoter so we shall see where he takes me. But, I would offer several pieces of advice to the reader. Nothing is easy. There really is not an easy formula for getting what you want out of life
except working very hard for it. If you are not a worker, you can’t be self-employed. That is what all of these projects are. They are me relying on me to get it all done with the help of a team that I direct. You must be a leader and a little bit of a loaner. You must always think and treat this as a business and make decisions based upon what is good for your business. This is not a big party for everyone to have a fun time on your dime. When you get that that is when it gets really hard. Last and most important is not to be afraid to fail. I have a very different take on failing as I have had to rise higher than I thought I could when things did not go my way. How you handle the chips when they are down will be a big indicator on the type of life you will have. If you go for it and take whatever comes, you may just be surprised. I like being surprised. My life did not turn out in any way the way I thought it would when I started down this road two years ago. So I have completely thrown out my road map and now I just go for it. Best thing I have ever done. JUST PLAIN GO FOR IT! Stacey Blanchet is a vivid designer within our industry that so many people follow and admire. We’re honored to have interviewed such an artist and are excited to keep following her exciting journey.

SEX ADVICE
glamcob
Week 1 Day 1: Take control during sex On the first day of your period you'll feel extroverted and bold, thanks to a rise in the feel-good hormones oxytocin, testosterone, and estrogen. Your libido should be amped, too, so aim for all the pleasure you can. Womanon-top is ideal because your clitoris is extra sensitive and you can control the depth and angle while he lies back and enjoys the view. If things get messy, throw a towel on the bed or take a shower before you get busy.
Week 1 Day 2: Indulge in slow, sensual sex You're feeling good, because estrogen and testosterone continue to rise today. "Estrogen magnifies the five senses, so kisses feel more intense and your man looks more attractive to you, making sex a total mind-body experience," says Gabrielle Lichterman, author of 28 Days. Light some candles, play slow tunes, and satisfy each other from head to toe.
NOV. 2013 glamcob | 49
Week 1 Day 3: Pamper him "A surge in testosterone boosts your confidence in your union and makes any annoying habits your partner may have seem less grating," Lichterman says. (His snoring may not become cute, but you get the idea.) So treat him to a spine-tingling massage. There's no doubt he'll return the favor.
Week 1 Day 4: Think outside the box Your right brain is famous for giving you creative ideas, and today tiny levels of rising estrogen and testosterone boost the odds you'll use this side of your mind. "You're apt to feel more imaginative when it comes to brainstorming or making decisions," Lichterman says. Your creativity will spill into the bedroom, too.
Week 1 Day 5: Get competitive "Your right brain may have been in charge yesterday, but today estrogen and testosterone will increase even more, shifting the power to your analytical left brain," Lichterman says. Testosterone also makes you competitive. Use that bold streak to challenge him to a naughty game, such as strip poker. If you win, so does your libido: According to a study published in The Journal Evolution and Human Behavior, conquering a guy elevates your testosterone levels by 49 percent, making you even more amorous.
Week 1 Day 6: Bond with your guy By now, you should be feeling calm, rational, and remarkably clear-headed. "Estrogen gets another boost, making you social and articulate," says Jed Diamond, Ph.D., author of The Irritable Male Syndrome. So take advantage of your way with words and tell your guy exactly why you love him. He'll eat it up.

Week 1 Day 7: Sync up your sex drives You're still chatty due to elevated estrogen levels, and as an added perk, "your energy will skyrocket," Lichterman says. Since guys are often raring to go in the morning (their testosterone levels peak in the a.m.), take advantage of your extra adrenaline and hop in the shower.
Week 2 Day 8: Have a quickie Many women refrain (unnecessarily) from having sex until their periods are finished. Make up for lost time by getting busy in the middle of the afternoon, or pull him into an empty room during a party for some instant action.
Week 2 Day 9-14: Fixate on him You'll start getting a big boost of estrogen and testosterone during these six days, making you especially flirty. Your voice even becomes higher-pitched during this time, according to research conducted by the University of California, Los Angeles. Because back in caveman days, choices in men were limited, and once ovulation occurred, women needed a coy way to snag a man during the final push. One potential problem: You may also have a wandering eye. Scientists say women fantasize about other men 160 percent more midcycle—yet the study authors found that women initiate sex with their partners a lot more during this time, too. Keep the lights on so he has your complete attention, and gaze into each other's eyes during missionary.
Week 3 Day 15-16: Stay connected Welcome to Pre-PMS (think PMS but shorter and less intense). Rising levels of noradrenalin and declining levels of testosterone and estrogen may make you irritated and jealous when your guy drools over Scarlett Johansson. It's biological: During Days 12 through 21, women are super catty when it comes to judging the appearances of other women. "Evolutionarily speaking, when fertile women were competing for a mate, criticizing other females may have helped catch him," says lead study author Maryanne Fisher, Ph.D., professor of psychology at Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Tune out other women by holing up together with takeout and a bottle of wine.
NOV. 2013 glamcob | 51
Week 3 Day 17: Have solo sex In order to combat the dip in estrogen and testosterone and the rise in progesterone, you'll need to take matters into your own hands. "Your clitoris and nipples may be less sensitive now, and orgasms are slower to occur and weaker," Diamond says. Let him watch you masturbate: He'll get off on the visuals, and you'll be turned on by his gaze. According to Marta Meana, Ph.D., a professor of psychology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, women can become aroused when they're the object of desire.
Week 3 Day 18: Cuddle up Warning: Although testosterone starts to rise again today, a boost in progesterone still has you feeling more cuddly than carnal, so unplug your BlackBerry, snuggle down with your guy, and rent a chick flick. Girlie movies raise levels of oxytocin (the "snuggle hormone") in both men and women, and research from Kansas University found that guys like rom-coms too. (Shh!)
Week 3 Day 19-20: Take a break "For these two days, your urge to nest and unwind may be stronger because progesterone levels jump, damping your desire to socialize," Lichterman says. Why is progesterone such a downer? According to Lichterman, it drains your energy, lowering the risk that you'll go out and damage your uterus in case fertilization has occurred. Relive the early days—stay up all night talking and then stay in bed all day.
Week 3 Day 21: Cook a romantic meal for him You may find yourself wandering into the kitchen more than usual right now. Progesterone has caused an appetite spike, making you crave baked goods, salty treats, fats, and carbs. The reason: Your hormones want your body to be baby-ready in case you got preggers during ovulation. And according to Suzanne Gilberg-Lenz, M.D., an ob-gyn in Los Angeles, women need a certain amount of fat for optimal fertility. So why fight nature? Whip up a candlelit comfort meal for two.
Week 4 Day 22: Tweak the usual positions You may have to work a little harder to orgasm today because progesterone is blocking your testosterone receptors. So try this surefire way to stimulate your G-spot, says Sandor Gardos, Ph.D., founder of the online adult toy store mypleasure.com: "Start by straddling your guy while you face his feet. Once you're comfortable, lean back so you're lying flat on top of him." Then enjoy the ride.
Week 4 Day 23-24: Set the mood That inevitable time of moderate misery has come: PMS. Declining levels of progesterone and estrogen from days 23 through 28 can make you weepy—or bitchy. If you're not feeling psyched about your body right now (bloat can do that to a girl), wear your hottest lingerie, dim the lights, or do whatever it takes to feel sexy. Just don't get a bikini wax. Researchers at the University of Michigan found that women are extra sensitive to pain at this time of the month. The good news is that scientists at the Center for Behavioral Neuroscience say that during sex, men focus on a woman's face more than her body—meaning he won't notice that you're retaining five pounds' worth of water.
Week 4 Day 25: Focus on your O Chances are, you're feeling frisky. "One reason is that your endometrium [the lining of the uterus] is thickening, promoting blood flow to your genitals, which boosts libido," Gilberg-Lenz says. And although your orgasms should be intense, it may take longer than usual to get there because a decline in estrogen and testosterone will leave you easily distracted by your surroundings. Try a little dirty talk to stay in the moment, and make sure the door is locked—scientists from McGill University found that when women nix outside distractions they become aroused in 12 minutes flat.
Week 4 Day 26-28: Conquer new territory Your boobs may ache (tell your guy hands off today), but "your endometrium continues to thicken, stimulating your nerve endings down below, which increases your libido significantly," Lichterman says. Since creativity is at an all-time high, it's the perfect time to discover new erogenous zones. Experiment with various types of touch on your favorite body parts.
