NOUREDDINE MELIKECHI Harnessing light to search for life on Mars and to save lives on Earth Interview with Glamour Fashion and Beauty
G.F.B: You started your research career at the University of Sussex in Great Britain. You have indeed been able, in a short time, to make an interesting discovery concerning the laws governing electromagnetic fields. Would you like to tell us a little more about this discovery? NM: Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share with your readers something about my professional journey which in my opinion, is worth doing only if it can help others. Explaining the discovery that you are referring to in lay terms is not easy, but I will try. As a young physics researcher, I had a strong interest in studying light but was not sure about the path to take. This interest stems from the fact that light is ubiquitous, can be studied from purely theoretically and/or experimentally, and inspires us to ask philosophical questions. I approached Professor Les Allen, a well-known researcher in quantum optics, the field that uses quantum physics to study phenomena involving light. Professor Allen accepted me in his research group and asked me to think about a phenomenon called two-photon absorption. This phenomenon was predicted in 1931 by Maria Goeppert-Mayer and demonstrated experimentally in the early 1960’s revolutionized spectroscopy and imaging. For her work, Maria Goeppert-Mayer became, in 1962, the second woman to receive the Nobel Prize in physics. Two-photon absorption is a process in which two 3
Glamour fashin & beauty
fundamental particles of light, called photons, are absorbed almost simultaneously by matter. It was known that two-photon processes obey physics rules that are different than those for single-photon processes in which a single photon is absorbed by matter. The question was whether the two-photon absorption rules were complete or not. This is a fundamental question that, when addressed, enhances our understanding of how light interacts with matter. I discovered new rules that describe conditions for this process to be feasible and demonstrated that, in some two-photon absorption experiments, more information can be gained by carefully selecting the geometry of the various light fields involved. G.F.B: You arrived in the United States after spending two years in Algeria as part of your National Service. How did you get back into research? NM: Simply stated: by doing my best to take advantage of opportunities. Upon my arrival to the United States, I contacted few physicists which led me to speak with and be interviewed by Professor Edward Eyler who, at that time, was working on high precision atomic and molecular laser spectroscopy. An atom is made of a nucleus and electrons. These electrons have energy that varies from one atom to another. When two or more atoms “join” together, they form a molecule. For example, we talk about the hydrogen or the oxygen atom. These two atoms can be joined together to form 8

the water molecule. Essentially, we were working on understanding the differences between the three naturally occurring isotopes of hydrogen, protium, deuterium and tritium, using table-top laser-based experiments. These atoms differ only by the number of neutrons in their nuclei. We showed that it by measuring to, a very high precision, the energy of the electrons in these atoms, it was possible to learn more about the nature of the interaction between the nucleus and electrons. I worked with Professor Eyler for five years during which time, all I had to think about was my research projects. An ideal situation for a researcher! G.F.B: Our readers are interested to know how you started to work on the NASA Mars program which began as a result of one of your scientific publications. Can you tell us something about this publication and how it led to you begin to work on a NASA program? NM: My work on the NASA’s Mars program began almost accidentally! My research group had published work that was based on a laser technique that NASA was planning to use on Mars. This technique is known as laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy. In addition to using this technique in my laboratory, we had investigated the spectroscopic signatures of about 40 atoms under some conditions that, although not the same to those on Mars, were useful to understand. That was good enough to start a wonderful research program focused on the exploration of the red planet. It led to my current one which entails contributing to the analysis of the spectral signatures acquired by Curiosity, NASA’s rover on Mars. G.F.B: A new NASA rover, Perseverance, is on its way to the planet Mars. How is the mission of Perseverance different from that of Curiosity? NM: Perseverance and Curiosity are the names of the rovers that carry the instruments of the Mars 2020 and the Mars Science laboratory respectively. Curiosity and Perseverance explore different regions of the red planet that are both remnants of ancient lakes. Curiosity, which has been exploring a region of Mars called the Gale crater since it landed there in 2012, is focused on characterizing the Mars environment and on searching for elements of life such as water. Perseverance, which is due to land on Mars, in a region called Jezero crater, on February 18, 2021, is designed to look for microbial life and to gather information that will be used to prepare next Mars missions, 10
Glamour fashin & beauty
including future human missions to the red planet. The two scientific missions are complementary. Another striking difference between the missions: the Perseverance rover has on its board a drill that can collect promising Martian samples, and position them on specific spots on the surface of Mars that one or more future missions could potentially return to Earth for further analysis. G.F.B: You are a member of the NASA Curiosity team that contributed to a major discovery about water on the planet Mars. Our readers are curious to know about this great discovery. Can you tell something about it? NM: The question on the existence of water on Mars and other planets is not new. It is an important question because it is related to the search of life. On Earth, wherever and whenever water flows, there is life, albeit at the microbial level sometimes. Thus, the search for life, as we know it, and the search for water are closely connected because liquid water is one key requirement for life.
The discovery of water on the red planet is not the result of a single scientific study or from a single observation. It is the result of a comprehensive analysis of data gathered using different techniques over a long period of time. One such instrument is the ChemCam which is on board of the Curiosity rover. ChemCam, uses lasers to interrogate various rocks on Mars. It can detect the presence of almost every single chemical element including hydrogen and oxygen which are the atoms that form water. It shows that some rocks on the surface of Mars are hydrated. When the data from ChemCam and that acquired by other instruments are analyzed, a picture starts to emerge. This picture shows that in its past, Mars was a wet planet; it had on its surface rivers and lakes. Today, Mars, on its surface, is no longer as wet. I suspect that Perseverance will teach us more about the presence and history of water on Mars. G.F.B: Your contributions to scientific research have greatly served the field of medical diagnostics. Does it perhaps have to do with some passion for medicine? In other words, have you ever dreamed of specializing in this discipline? And
www.glamourfashionandbeauty.com
have you had any positive results in this area? NM: It has to do more with a belief that major scientific problems are best addressed by bringing ideas and knowledge from fields that are seemingly widely separated. At some point in my journey, I decided to think about using the physics that light teaches us to investigate some of the most pressing problems in medicine. It was a risky proposition but investigating light interaction with biological systems through their fundamental constituents was very exciting to me. After all, light studies generate information that serves to analyze astrophysical phenomena and, in a very different application, to reveal, for example, the presence of neonatal jaundice which causes the yellowness of the skin and eyes. More specifically, I was interested in exploring the following question: How can we detect major diseases at an early stage using techniques that can be made widely accessible, including to people, living in developing or poor countries? Focusing on hard-to-treat cancer such ovarian cancer was important to me.

The approach that we have developed is based on looking at atomic, ionic and molecular spectral signatures in biomedical fluids such as blood or saliva and to extract specific features that can help us detect early signs of diseases. There is evidence that suggests that the bloodstream contains information at the atomic, ionic, and molecular level that can be used to detect the onset of a disease well before clinical symptoms appear. Essentially, we are looking to find ways to monitor the delicate balance between the various chemical elements in the blood and to identify early changes specific to a disease. Early detection implies prevention and a greater potential for successful treatment. The approach was successfully implemented in my laboratory and others around the world, suggesting an exciting future for preventive medicine based on atomic, ionic and molecular spectral signatures that can obtained in a non-invasive way. However, much more work remains to be done.
science, even if it may take longer than we all want to. Science has its own timeline, which is governed by evidence-based established knowledge, not date of elections, not politics and certainly not by nonfactual information. The larger lesson that I hope we can take from this pandemic is that science is not only the seed of solutions to the corona virus but to many other problems that range from poverty, to agriculture, to the environment. Think about how much more difficult it would have been to fight the virus if we did not develop genomics, epidemiology, medical imaging and diagnostics, or the mathematical models of virus propagation. Investing globally in science and science education is an investment in the future of humanity. The good news is that few companies have reported that they have developed a vaccine against the corona virus. Few have applied for FDA emergency use authorization for corona vaccine. The United Kingdom has approved a corona virus. I hope that humanity can not only develop vaccines against the covid-19 but learn lessons from this terrible pandemic.
G.F.B: The Governor of Delaware, Jack Markell, appointed you as a member of the Delaware Authority on Radiation Protection. You were elected by its members to be its chair for a three-year term. Can you share with us something about this experience?
Abdelghani Benhariza
G.F.B: The world has been going through an unprecedented serious health crisis for a year now, due to the Coronavirus pandemic. As a scientist and researcher in physics, what is your analysis of the situation, especially since it has been difficult to find a vaccine or to propose solutions to stop this devastating virus? NM: I applaud and thank the medical professionals who have worked tirelessly to save, literally, millions of lives. They are at the frontlines of the war against the corona virus and let us not forget against other health threats. They give, sometimes at the risk of their own lives, their best to save ours. It should not take a pandemic to realize that these are our true heroes. We could help these professionals by following the guidelines that they work so hard to establish such as social distancing, wearing masks, etc. It is the least we can do to contribute to this global war. As for the pandemic itself, the solution will come from 12

NM: The mission of the Delaware Authority on Radiation Protection is to protect the health of Delawareans by providing regulatory oversight of ionizing radiation sources used within the state, encouraging its safe use, and facilitating greater understanding of natural and human generated radiation in the world around us. X-rays, cosmic particles from outer space and radioactive elements are examples of ionizing radiation. The authority was created because ionizing radiation can provide wonderful benefits to people but, if not used properly, can be dangerous to their health. For example, X-rays can help doctors image part of a body but can also cause serious health issues if not used properly, the same can be said about radioactivity. Governor Jack Markell appointed me to the Board of Directors of the Authority. I was one of about twenty members and was elected to be its chair for a three-year term. It was a wonderful experience. I learned a great deal from a wonderful, talented people dedicated to protecting people from ionizing radiation. I take this opportunity to thank Governor Markell for his trust in me.

G.F.B: You have published over 180 peer-reviewed articles, numerous book chapters and thousands of citations. You have been awarded the distinguished title of fellow of some the most respected scientific organizations in the United States: the American Association for the Advancement of Science, created an OSCAR and have been named the Delaware Ambassador to Mars. What does this mean to you? NM: I am honored to have received these awards and distinctions. However, this is not the result of my own work only. It is the result of the work of those who have helped me along my journey and all those who have believed in me. I am lucky to be able to do the research I like. The various honors are a wonderful encouragement. Just so that there is no misunderstanding, OSCAR is a research program that I founded about 10 years ago. It specializes in research in applied optics and today it is funded to perform research in quantum computing, lidar technology, bio-photonics, optical imaging, space optics, and plasma spectroscopy. I am pleased, honored and humbled to have had the opportunity to create and launch this new tool for science which I expect will contribute significant new knowledge for years to come. 14

G.F.B: What are your future plans and what can you say to the readers of our magazine Glamor Fashion and Beauty? NM: This sounds like an invitation to retirement! There is so much to do and so little time. I will continue to work hard to continue to learn because I love the process of learning, particularly about light and its interaction with matter because my passion for investigating the use of light for different applications, possibly to fight major diseases is still alive. I am also interested in developing educational material to teach science to kids and the general public. Having said this, there are so many interesting and exciting things to do in life so I may be doing something that I have not even thought of yet! It is about aligning my passion with opportunities. G.F.B: In conclusion, one last word for the readers of our magazine Glamor Fashion and Beauty. NM: I thank you for reading my interview and hope that this will serve you somehow. Follow your curiosity and passion and don’t be afraid of change, of taking risks or of thinking of contributing to finding solutions to old or new, small or big problems. Honestly and sincerely executed work

is a success in itself. Lat but not least, I do want to add that, we are facing critical and significant challenges from the pandemic to climate change, from poverty to an imbalance and divide between the have and have nots. Those who will take evidence based decisions are more likely to be in a much better shape in terms of social and economic development than others. However, to address the critical challenges that we face, it is probably helpful to accept the fact that we live on one planet and are more connected than we ever were. G.F.B: Thank you once again for this interesting interview. NM: Thank you. It is an honor to be interviewed by such a beautiful magazine. I wish GFB much success. GF&B www.glamourfashionandbeauty.com

NASA ... A moon that shines on the sky of science
«NASA» is an abbreviation for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, which is an American agency responsible for the United States’ space program. Since its founding in 1957, during the era of former US President Dwight Eisenhower, NASA has worked on a wide range of space projects and research with a peaceful scientific dimension. The race to space has begun overheating between Russia and the United States of America. After the Soviet Union announced the launch of Sputnik-1 on October 4, 1957, as the first human-made satellite, the United States considered this a threat , threatening its technical leadership, which prompted NASA to prepare programs to discover Space, the beginning was with the Mercury program. 16 17

G4 communications on the surface of the Moon NASA announced at the end of October of this year that it will allocate $ 14.1 million to finance a project in partnership with Nokia a Communications Corporation, with the aim of building a 4G mobile phone network to be located near the south pole of the moon! This will not be the only goal of the astronauts of the Artemis mission, scheduled to land on the moon in 2024, but NASA is seeking through this to develop a system for generating and storing energy using materials from the moon itself. That is not, this mission will be the first since the Apollo lunar mission in 1972, which an astronaut will land on the surface of the moon, but the difference this time is that the Artemis mission will witness the successful landing of the first woman on the moon, so the members of the team will be able to Connect to Earth whenever they want, thanks to this partnership that will bring together NASA and Nokia. Of course, such amazing news about the recruitment by NASA of an outside agency is considered a very common thing since the sixties, this reach out collaboration is appreciated by the general public because it brings the awareness that has always been associated with scientific development and geniuses of scientists who have become superheroes. In fact, they are as well, perhaps to a lesser degree compared to stories provided by cinema in terms of space, but they do, through NASA, provide a noble service to all mankind, as they facilitate human life and protect the earth, to discover another space in which we may live in the future.
Mercury Program The Mercury program began in 1958 AD, it was aimed at placing a manned spacecraft in an orbital flight around earth in addition to investigating human capabilities to work in space environment, of course retrieving astronauts and spacecraft safely at the end of each mission, thus bringing NASA closer to reaching a provision : The possibility of man traveling to space with missions designed to see if a person can survive and live in space. 18
Glamour fashin & beauty
On April 9, 1959, Dr. Keith Glennan the agency’s chief executive back then announced the first crew of NASA, now known as Mercury 7 (Original Seven). The crew included three marine pilots, three pilots from the Air Force and one from the Marine Corps: Leroy Cooper, Walter Shira, Alan Shepard, Virgil Grisom, John Glenn, Donald Slayten and Malcolm Carpenter. Mercury became NASA’s first major project, its flights demonstrated that humans could live and work in space, it paved the way for Gemini and Apollo programmatic flights later, as well as many subsequent spaceflight.
The Apollo Program The Soviet Union was the first country to send a person into space, as the Russian pioneer Yuri Gagarin won that honor in 1961 he was able to enter the Earth’s orbit and revolve around it, so the United States of America had to raise the ceiling of the challenge in the framework of the so-called Cold War between them and the Soviet Union, the US President John F. Kennedy made an open challenge to the world in the same year, saying that America would be able to land astronauts on the surface of the Moon at the end of the decade. It was the most important goal of NASA’s Apollo space program, as it was able to carry out a total of 11 space flights, during which, it was able to achieve its goal of landing on the surface of the moon in intervals and in a gradual manner. The first four flights involved testing the equipment used in the Apollo program and its efficacy before landing six of the other seven flights on the surface of the moon. To carry out the mission to reach the moon as part of the Apollo program, NASA designed the Command Module, which is a capsule that can accommodate three astronauts. Another spacecraft, the Lunar Module, was also used to land on the surface of the moon, meaning that astronauts would get out of their orbit around the moon to the surface and then return to orbit, but the lunar module was only accommodating two astronauts. On July 20, 1969, during the Apollo 11 mission,

which included Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins, and Buzz Aldrin, an Apollo spacecraft was launched on top of the Saturn V rocket (Saturn 5). Once the spacecraft reached the moon, the two units separated from each other. Neil Armstrong walked first on the moon’s surface, then Aldrin ,while Collins remained in orbit around the moon.Neil famous phrase”That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.» President John F. Kennedy fulfilled his promise regarding the landing of humans on the surface of the moon, NASA also succeeded in this challenge with the Apollo program, this was the first time that humans left Earth’s orbit to visit another world, which opened the appetite of the agency and others to explore more distant worlds in the future.
Katherine Johnson Star facilitated the mission to reach the moon! The first space flight of the Apollo program took place in 1968, it was the first human landing 20 Glamour fashin & beauty
on the moon’s surface one year later, the last landing was in 1972. A total of 12 astronauts walked on the surface of the moon, conducted scientific research, studied its surface and collected rocks to bring back to Earth, here we are today, preparing for a project to establish a fourth generation telecommunications company somewhere on the moon! But all of this did not come easily, thanks to the efforts of many who we may have heard about or those whose identities we still do not know today, among these is the mathematician Katherine Johnson! Katherine Johnson passed away in February 2020 at the age of 101. The deceased was nicknamed by the agency “the NASA computer” a nickname she earned. Katherine was behind writing all the accounts of the Apollo‘s 11 path to the moon, a journey during which Neil Armstrong was able to walk on its surface to make history, with those who participated and prepared for it, the most important of them is Katherine Johnson, she was one of the few American women who worked as a «computer.»
to inspect and verify the engineers’ accounts at the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA), the predecessor agency to NASA. She was honored by US President Barack Obama in 2015 when she received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, in gratitude for her contribution to the first moon landing. This scientist who specialized in the calculations of «orbital mechanics», which is a very complex process at the time, needed amazing accuracy, before the availability of the computers that we know today. For example, Katherine was behind the determination of the flight path of Alan Shepard in 1961, the first American in space. Even after the availability of the most advanced computers, John Glenn, who was preparing for his first trip around the planet in 1962, used them to check mathematical calculations on their own because he did not trust electronic computers. Otherwise, Katherine Johnson took part in several other flights before retiring in 1986. Katherine Johnson did not leave this world until she saw her life story, which was turned into a 2016 movie entitled «Hidden Figures».
Colombia - An achievement that falls from the sky While passing through the airspace of the town of Palestine in the city of Dallas, the capital of the state of Texas, on February 1, 2003, exactly at 00.14 GMT, NASA lost contact with the American shuttle Columbia, which was on its way back to Earth after a space mission. Colombia disappeared from the radar screens, after the American television networks broadcasted its fragmentation as it entered the Earth’s atmosphere at a speed of six times the speed of sound at a height of 60 km with seven astronauts on board.
A difficult birth! At the beginning of the construction of the space shuttle in 1975 by the main assembly facility on the outskirts of Los Angeles, it was expected to discover the outside world, therefore it was named Colombia after the Columbia Rediviva, the first American ship to sail around the world under the command of explorer Captain Robert Gray in 1787 and 1793. NASA was unable to launch Colombia as planned www.glamourfashionandbeauty.com

at the end of 1979, but was forced to postpone that
date due to problems with both the RS-25 engine and the thermal protection system (TBS).
These were not the last problems facing the oldest American space shuttle, as on March 19, 1981, during preparations for the ground test before its launch, workers choked while working in the aft compartment of a nitrogen-purge engine, leading to the death of two people.
Successful but last mission! Colombia then undertook 28 space missions, the last of which lasted 16 days, aimed at conducting an experiment in satellite communication via the Internet, in addition to a German research program on the effect of zero gravity on animals before it ended in a disaster on it’s way home. Commander Rick Hasband, Pilot Willie McCall, mission specialists Dave Brown, Laurel Clarke, Kalpana Chawla, Payload Commander Mike Anderson, and astronaut specialist Ilan Ramon are the pioneers who were on board the spacecraft when it exploded. Glamour fashin & beauty 21
A video tape - then retrieved - recorded by the pioneers during the start of the return showed that the crew members were performing routine re-entry procedures and joking with each other, but the recording process that would have continued on the regular flights until the landing was stopped four minutes before the start of the shuttle disintegration. Experts attributed the causes of the crash to a defect in the thermal insulation that protects the shuttle when returning to Earth from high temperatures. One side of this insulation was destroyed in the shuttle’s black bottom part by hitting spongy pieces of insulation that covered its main fuel tank with one of its wings upon takeoff. Then, during the return trip to Earth, hot gases leaked through the damaged heat insulator to find their way to the shuttle and led to Last blast. Images broadcast by the American television network «CNN» at the time revealed white lines behind Columbia as it passed through the atmosphere of Dallas, enhancing the possibility that it exploded while entering the Earth’s atmosphere.
Sky Lab It is the first and only space station launched by the United States of America alone without the participation of any other country, it is considered the second space station to orbit in Earth after the Russian Mir station. The Sky Laboratory was launched on May 14, 1973 to orbit the Earth at an altitude of 435 km from the surface of Earth. Upon its launch, the station faced a number of problems, the most important of which was the separation and breakage of most of the solar cells responsible for generating energy, which led to an acute shortage of electricity. The matter was remedied and the laboratory was repaired in its first manned flight on May 25, 1973, followed by two manned flights on July 28, 1973 and November 16, 1973, to be evacuated by astronauts on February 8, 1974. During this period, the laboratory rotated 2,476 times around the Earth in 171 days and 13 hours, and a total of 2,000 hours of scientific and medical tests were held in ii, aimed at finding out the effect of zero gravity on astronauts, and on July 11, 1979, 22

the SkyLab lost its height and entered the Earth’s mantle then fell.
The International Space Station ISS The idea of the International Space Station came through a Russian proposal in March 1993, when the Director General of the Russian Space Agency «Mir» Yuri Koptev proposed to the Director of the American «NASA» agency, Daniel Goldin, the establishment of an international space station. The implementation of the project began on September 2, 1993, after it was agreed to officially name the «International Space Station» or ISS, which is short for International Space Station a new era. A group of countries joined Russia and the United States of America to build the station in an international cooperation under the leadership of the afore mentioned, along with Canada, Japan, and other European countries, namely Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland. The United Kingdom, in addition to Brazil, the cost of the station was estimated at more than 150 billion dollars, NASA contributed about 72.4 billion dollars, Russia about 12 billion dollars, while Europe contributed about 5 billion dollars, Japan 5 billion dollars, and Canada about 2 billion dollars. The International Space Station was launched for the first time on November 20, 1998 and was mainly aimed at preparing people to spend long time in space, conducting experiments outside the area of Earth’s gravity, and working to improve the quality of life on Earth by increasing scientific knowledge through research in addition to its various Space exploration.
Astronomical numbers! The ISS weighs half a million kg and orbits at an altitude between 370 and 460 km above the surface of the Earth. Goes to 28 thousand km per hour, it can get to the moon and return in less than 24 hours, the International Space Station completes one revolution around the Earth every 90 minutes, it rotates around 16 times a day, which exposes the astronauts to witnessing 16 sunrise and sunset in the same day. So, to avoid confusion, they set the average time (Greenwich) as the one on board, and when the sun sets in London, the station windows are closed

automatically to give the patrons a feeling of night sleep.
The international station is controlled from the ground by two stations, the first in Houston in the United States of America and the second in Moscow, the capital of Russia. e drew from the springs of science, so he paved the path of research with enthusiasm and passion that led him to the peaks of knowledge, which in turn brought him to success until he found himself an astronaut on his spacecraft. He then traveled on board to outer space for months, despite the risks, adventure and exceptional tasks were entrusted to him after lengthy training and qualification became part of his life. He loved his travels, so his camera lenses were creative in capturing the most beautiful pictures and scenes of the planet from outer space, the movement of stars and comets. Thomas Pesquet this young Frenchman, is now preparing to go on a new space trip in early 2021, the 42-year-old astronaut is the tenth French to travel to space, since his first flight in 2016-2017 on board the International Space Station (ISS). European astronaut on board an American space vehicle. Thomas Pesquet will depart on a second mission aboard the same station during the second half of 2021. He will become the first European astronaut to travel aboard an American «SpaceX’s Crew Dragon capsule.» Thomas has confirmed that he will already begin intensive training at the end of March, at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, in the United States, as happened during the preparations for his first trip in 26

September of 2016. Upon arrival at the training center, this adventurer will have to go through the first stages of review to «assess his knowledge of systems and processes, which will allow the trainers to adapt to the training program in line with the requirements of this former French pilot, who first approached the outside world when he was selected by the space agency.» In 2009, the European Union (ESA) among six candidates to form the third group of European astronauts, to become the youngest astronaut in the world. Thomas leaves nothing to chance Among the things that He will review at the International Space Station, before taking off again outside the Earth’s atmosphere, is how to repair the various systems and devices on board in the event of a malfunction, such as maintaining the station’s heating and air conditioning system. For example during his first stay on the International Space Station, Thomas Pesquet was forced To repair broken toilets on the second day! In addition, Thomas Pesquet will try to wear his spacesuit, before testing it at the NASA Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL) assembly, which is used for spacewalk training. This training lasts about six hours and allows for the anticipation of any potential risk of technical er-
ror when having to walk in space and allows practice to control levels of adrenaline and stress. Before his first experience in space travel as part of a mission called Proxima, Thomas Pesquet had conducted a 100 experiments, half of which were developed by the European Space Agency (ESA) or the French National Center for Space Studies, and the other half by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). A second space trip with memories of the first flight! In July 2020, he was chosen to undertake a second mission aboard the Crew Dragon capsule, built by the American private company SpaceX, to become the first European to travel into space aboard an American spacecraft on a highly anticipated mission called Alpha. Returning to his maiden flight, the French astronaut spent 196 days in space during his stay, on board the International Space Station. This puts him in second place in the list of French who have traveled to space behind Jean-Pierre Haigneré who collected 209 days in space during two trips, but Thomas’ chances of being ahead of his citizens in terms of staying in space will increase by obtaining a second residence there next year accompanied by the astronaut Russian Oleg Novitskiy the commander of a spacecraft of 2.2 meters in length and 2.1 meters in diameter, the French astronaut entered space at a speed of 28 © Photography by

Today Thomas knows very well the details of staying in space, as he stated after his first flight what he missed most, besides his longing for his family, was the feeling of freedom.
moment of take-off from the space station to the 16 scenes of sunrise he witnessed from there and life in zero gravity, exiting the spacecraft three times with the space suit for maintenance operations and standing in space at a distance of 400 km from Earth.
Certainly, Thomas has prepared everything he needs during his space trip, he had spoken after his return from the Alpha flight that he was spending his spare time photographing the Earth from «Going out for hiking and cycling, every angle, taking pictures of going to the mountain or the sea, different landscapes, the Northern feeling the wind, rain and different Lights, symbolic places, and more scents contemplating the landscities. Fun trip however! One of the most difficult cases Thomas most difficult experience is going to normal life after returning to Earth, especially since he has a lean body due to losing an important part of his muscle and bone weight, adapting to life without gravity, he has fainted due to a sharp drop in blood pressure and other health problems, which require a special health care from doctors of the European Astronaut Center in Cologne, Germany. There are great dangers travelling to space but the fun and scientific glory are worth the adventure, this is what the French astronaut Thomas Pesquet believes. Flo M

hroughout the ages, man knew beauty, he spent his life tracing it wherever it was, he felt the outward appearance of it and provoked nature to bring out the inner lurking in the depths. Endeavors and innovations through which this unique being with reflection and investigation created a mosaic of beauty in various shapes and colors in many sensory and intangible fields, so the painter, sculptor, mason, poet, musician within themselves to being out the most beautiful creativity. But no matter how much man creativity and achievements are distinguished , distinguished, will remain unparalleled with the magic of the universe where the artist’s feather, the poet’s words, or the tones of the player’s are no match. Landscapes with charming colors and picturesque curves fascinate the eyes, attractive and controversial sculptures and fossils increased by the ambiguity of their presence, strange shapes in colors of the daily spectrum, annual and rare natural phenomena that the earth has embraced, the sky has opened the doors 30 Glamour fashin & beauty
of its galaxies for them without limits or restrictions. Artistic paintings appear from time to time in exceptional divine performances where the human mind stands in front of dazzled and paused, so his readings and interpretations vary according to the tendencies and beliefs of tribes through the ages, it was a rich material for the latter to weave around the garments of myths and superstitions before science refutes them with its rational interpretations simulating reality with scientific rules and laws. Accurate thanks to the development of modern science and technologies. Among these enchanting cosmic phenomena, the northern lights, or the so-called Aurora borealis, with rays of their lights on the globe, appear in a wonderful their different magical colors inspired poets, fascinated painters and even astronauts. These northern lights are ever present, but winter still the best time for lovers of such phenomena to witness them.
These natural lights, which are usually stationed at the North and South Poles, are visible when the particles that are emitted from the sun are launched towards the Earth over a distance estimated at about 150 million kilometers attract and pull towards the North then South poles, as they passes through the magnetic shield of the Earth, the latter unite with oxygen and nitrogen molecules, embodying the most beautiful thing that the eye can see, scenes and light shows, pink, green, blue, purple, sometimes orange and white are joined by ripples and dazzling flow shapes. They take the form of a static light strip or dancing curtains in case the emission of solar particles towards the earth is strong. The ancient Greeks had a bucket in this matter which they made with interpretations that made them calling the Aurora Borealis «Aurora» after the Greek gods of dawn at the time, as it was also a harbinger of war, fires and the coming destruction in the history of a number of ancient people.
Away from the myths, and ancient interpretations of the Aurora Borealis phenomenon, after the human being aware of the fact that these beautiful performances appeared and observed for their scientific reasons, the northern lights or «Aurora Borealis» became an annual destination for visitors to enjoy the beauty of these cosmic shows and a tourist pole with distinction in many areas that nature granted them the honor of appearing to watch the latter clearly. he world counts annually a terrible increase in the number of people with diabetes, as well as a suspicious increase in the death rate, which has become like the inherent enemy, causing the pancreas to be unable to produce insulin normally, the body declares its inability to use a vital «hormonal» living substance Effectively despite its production, it creates chaos and disrupts the sugar level in the blood then continues to penetrate through large areas to control it and causes accumulated damage to several parts of the body until it burdens it with various types of diseases, especially nerves, blood vessels, so the patient becomes incapacitated little by little and over the years unable to perform normal functions in life. Diabetes defeated scientists For decades, researchers dropped research and canceled others while imposing the theory of «coexistence» on it’s victims who were accustomed to a «chronic disease» and accepted the idea of «surrender» in the absence of a final cure. Diabetes may seem like a classic disease known to the public in particular with clear features and symptoms, available diagnosis that does not raise much fuss around it due to the severity of people accustomed to it and their coexistence with it, unlike other incurable and deadly diseases that have come to be called diseases of the era, but it is still the direct cause of More than a million deaths since 2016, where the world recorded during the period between 2000 and 2016 a rise in the rate of premature deaths. This resulted in a 5% decrease in the probability of dying from other diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases and respiratory diseases for the age group between 30 and 70 years old, during the same period by 18%.

Between a pattern that relies on insulin to enhance its production or compensate for the deficit that prolonged the process and its causes even means prevention are still unknown despite the medical development taking place in the world, a pattern that occurs due to the body not effectively exploiting a hormone that depends on a healthy diet, some subsidized drugs and excising. Diabetes remains a chronic disease threatening an increase on number of people affected by it, it exceeds 422 million people across the world, creating for itself an independent continent and a special society whose members are similar in terms of symptoms, its negative consequences resulted a healthy diet followed , a cumbersome medication like insulin, patients have diabetes World Day on November 11th of each year under the banner of disease prevention In search of reducing its risks , improving conditions of care for those affected by it within research framework. The world health organization is reminded every year about appropriate solutions to continue investing in order to establish a system of universal health coverage. A century of healthy dominance ... and insulin «not for everyone» Insulin was included in the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines in 1977, but its discovery and adoption as a treatment for diabetes was made available nearly a hundred years ago, so this drug was on the throne of treatment for a very long period , but it was not available to everyone considering its exorbitant prices, especially in countries suffering financially, as declared by the World Health Organization in 2006, more than www.glamourfashionandbeauty.com 33
65 million people with type «2» patients needed insulin, but half of them are unable to obtain , what drives them to live without it and endanger their lives, while people with type «1» cannot do without the insulin that keeps them alive and thus They will have to pay the costs even it is high. Despite the abundance of supply in this important vital hormone whose production is controlled by three manufacturers in most of the global market for insulin, its prices still constitute an obstacle for many countries of the world, especially countries with poor incomes, which increased the expansion of the danger circle and exposing patients to death or deterioration Their health status, knowing that the data collected by the World Health Organization between the years 2016 to 2019 From 24 countries across four continents, they confirmed that «human insulin is available in 61 percent of health facilities and insulin analogs are available in only 13 percent.» The same data also showed that the costs of this treatment may cost a factor equivalent to 22 percent of his/ her monthly income, which proves that insulin is not affordable to everyone, as we mentioned due to its high costs, although people with type 1 diabetes need it to preserve their lives, as a study revealed Another year in 2018 that more than 25 percent of diabetes patients in the United States of America abandoned insulin therapy due to its exorbitant prices, which was also confirmed by a survey conducted on nearly 200 American patients of types I and II. Comorbidities and the foster care ratio determine the number of victims worldwide
Diabetes is not satisfied with itself and its symptoms in controlling and weakening the body, but rather causes many dangerous diseases that have become almost inherent to them and come as a result of the accumulation of damage to the patient’s body, it may cause complications in the short or long term that lead to disruption of some functions and disability at the level of Some parts of the body, such as myopia or total blindness, kidney failure, heart disease, lower limb amputations, and things may get worse than that, where the risk of adult diabetic patients for heart attacks and strokes increases. Twice or three times, amputations occur due to nerve damage at the level of the lower extremities leading to ulcers, and 2.6 percent of blindness cases in the world are due to diabetes due to retinopathy. The social and financial conditions are one of the causes of the patient’s health deterioration and his abandonment of costly treatment or even manipulation of the volume and quantity of doses compulsion rather than choice for the previously mentioned reasons. In poor and developing countries that suffer from poor incomes, diabetics suffer from the burden of diabetes and the special costs that it needs. Regarding insulin injections, as confirmed by reports on diabetes in the world 80 percent of deaths caused by diabetes are concentrated in lowand middle-income countries due to poor support and lack of resources. Others pointed out that, during the year 2012, diabetes caused more than 1.5 million deaths, 80 percent of which were distributed in middle and low-income countries. problem, especially when the patient reaches the age of 21 years, where his right to obtain coverage for the assistance program ends, which puts the poor, destitute and low-income people at the mercy of diabetes, as reportâtes by «Celine Bruno and Jessica Lomazzurier». And «Glenn Hartung» as well as «Ali Barada» that the costs of treatment for only one month may reach 1000 dollars, as Dr. and Professor at the Harvard Medical School of America «Stevie Wahhandler» said: «We know from other studies that thousands die every year because they are not insured and millions of people skip medication because of the costs. « «The cost of insulin therapy has risen dramatically to become one of the most important obstacles and real problems facing patients,» said Dr. Elizabeth Rosenthal, a professor at Yale University, while Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization, said: « The incidence of diabetes is on the rise worldwide ... and a very large number of people who need insulin face financial difficulties in securing it, or are forced to dispense with it, risking their lives. « Diabetes was ranked as the seventh most life-killing disease in the United States of America as of 2015. A ray of hope looms on the horizon ... and research awaits materialization. As with many types of chronic diseases, simple preventive measures have proven effective in cases of diabetes, especially with regard to type 2 and its complications. People should maintain a healthy weight, engage in regular physical activities, follow a 34

healthy diet, limit sugary and fatty substances, in addition to avoiding tobacco use. And its derivatives, which are the existing measures that can be adopted before or during infection with this disease. In order to achieve better results and reduce the terrible increase in the number of people with diabetes around the world, the World Health Organization launched the initiative to pre-test the validity of human insulin to reduce the burden of treating diabetes in low and middle-income countries, which it announced prior to the revival of World Diabetes Day in 2019 and was considered part of the relentless efforts to raise the capabilities of treating diabetes in these countries, making this
product a lifesaver for millions of people who need it. The same organization also stated on its website that “its pre-testing program for the validity of insulin is expected to enhance its availability by increasing the flow of quality-assured products in the international market, thus providing countries with wider options and lower prices for patients.” This program also contributes according to the same location. In «Accelerating and expanding access to critical, quality-assured, affordable, and customized medical products adapted to the needs of markets and countries.» Low and middle income. «New studies have given

diabetics great hopes on the horizon after the success of experiments transplanting sinuses in the pancreas, which are known as «islets» and contain «beta» cells responsible for measuring the level of sugar in the blood and the release of insulin, which are attacked by the body itself in The case of type 1 diabetes, which is the experiments that were conducted on a group of mice, and the process permeated a set of obstacles, including the lack of donors The failure of these «islets» to communicate with the flow of blood, and the latter may be exposed, as it happens in other transplants, to attack by the immune system of the body that undergoes the transplant. Nevertheless, the study continued to challenge these obstacles, where a group of scientists tried to create another source for these cells, «by pushing pluripotent stem cells to produce human cells similar to pancreatic islets», an experiment that succeeded in performing the tasks of the pancreas after implanting and culturing them in the body. Diabetic mouse. A recent study went on to suggest that type 1 diabetes can be treated by a similar process represented by implanting insulin-producing cells in the eye, to reduce the need for regular insulin doses as this type of cells is injected into the anterior chamber of the eye considering its immune privilege that does not drive by attacking foreign bodies, the process showed its effectiveness on animals, where the volume of animal insulin production increased after three months and the corresponding need for external insulin injections decreased by 60 per cent, pending the success of its application to humans. 36

Sweetest solutions over Organ amputation is a hope for salvation from death’s eyes. Diabetes puts its owner at the mercy of difficult choices that cannot be entered into the space of choice, but rather imperatives that reduce the loss and make the solution less harmful than the result, so amputation becomes more than a necessity when it comes to survival, to be more like a solution that passes the taste of living but remains Solve as long as it gives its owner the opportunity to turn away from the eye of death after the tissue was severely damaged and caused a life-threatening infection. Global statistics have indicated that diabetes causes a foot amputation every 30 seconds, and 40 to 60 percent of lower limb amputations that are not related to traffic accidents but are due to diabetics who develop what is known as «diabetic foot.» That is an infection of the peri-
pheral nerves with inflammation as one of the known complications of the disease, which often occurs due to neglect and Diabetics reach this situation because of the ulcers that become more dangerous whenever the patient tries to deal with them in his own way far from the required health protection, as the position of the surgeon increases and these ulcers that result from neglected skin peels or external injuries were supposed to deal with it in a medical or negligent manner. The cleanliness resulted in sepsis, and it also occurs as a result of nerve damage or poor blood circulation, and the solution lies in the regular care of the limbs of a diabetic, which has been proven to have contributed to reducing the rates of lower limb amputations during the past years by more than 50 percent. Since its inception, the association aimed to enable people with diabetes to reach the health care they should provide to save lives by improving health conditions in coordination with many University Hospitals as well as local government agencies. The efforts and activities of the association were not limited to treatment, prevention but went beyond, to an activity no less important than its predecessors, with a touch of nobility and sophistication, which makes it respected and appreciated for its efforts that went beyond the limits of duty.

Cinema evokes Hamina memories
“What is written from the heart reaches the heart.” Experience of the facts, as the critic Ahmed Baghdad said : ” It is clear to us that our Hamina represents a true model of the international director, he can be classified with Luis Bonnell of Spain, or Francois Trivo of France, as well as Jean-Luc Godard.»
From «The Voice of the People» that stuck to his memory the «Guns of Freedom» all in his imagination that would hardly lose sight until a new presentation on Hamina’s memories was written in his diaries .... Titles of documentary, films Hamina produced about the liberation war, after his return from Czechoslovakia to Tunisia, he directed the second film, The Guns of Freedom in 1962, with Jamaluddin Shenderley, where the critic Ahmed Baghdad said, most of his work, except for the film «Hassan Tiro», is a product of his memoirs with a close connection to his upbringing, he was able to transform those memories into High-level cinematic work, it was well received in international forums. « The brilliant director Lakhdar Hamina during his position as head of the Algerian News, which was established in 1963 after the independence of Algeria accomplished and directed several short documentaries, including «The Light for All,» «Julian Promises,» «Searching for Blame» in 1963, «A Day in November» In 1964, from his long films, he directed the film «Wind of Al-Aures», which was close to the Palme d’Or, by one voice in 1966, then «Hassan Tiro» in 1968, «December» 1973, “Chronicle of the Years of Embers in 1975,» «Sandy Winds.» « 1982 , the» last picture «in 1986, after an absence of 30 years, Hamina returned with strength.. Picture is the most truthful expression..
The revolution in Hamina’s films was the source and the reference, but it was never a cause of hatred as was repeated on the sidelines in his film premiere «Sunset of Shadows» at the Mougar Hall in Algeria in 2014, stressing that these actions remind young people their history because the same movie brought Hamina back to cinema after an absence of 30 years, to recall the history of the Algerian revolution. It presents other events that depict a dialogue between its three heroes who are three different personalities brought together on an arduous journey in the heart of the Algerian desert, to end with a great human and moral historical summary entitled Freedom, which gave Hamina’s work a bit of wonder that some people could not digest, but imposed its existence and was nominated for the Oscars in 2016. Hamina’s works were not just shots and scenes that coalesce with each other to form a cinematic work looking for privileges, money and awards, but rather a mirror reflecting a bitter reality, original spontaneous stories from the idea to the script and even the screening of the film through design that embodies the story, it is also a natural setting “ Sand winds «which called for the anticipation of sand whirlwinds for a period of nearly three months, for the sake of realistic natural filmography, that Hamina focuses on a lot and considers a basis of the success of such masterpieces. After a year without stumbling or declining in level, despite taboos imposed on «Al-Kan», Hamina’s
films managed to claim a prestigious position that no one could shake. The chants of «Long live Algeria» on the culmination of the film «The Facts of the Years of Embers» at the Festival de Cannes in 1975 are still reverberating to this day for Arab filmmakers, which is the only victory achieved by Mohamed Lakhdar Hamina, was awarded the «Palme d’or “ which is still associated with his presence to this day, is underestimated for a film that deals with the facts of the Algerian liberation revolution that begins its events on the eve of the outbreak of World War II, through a difficult path to reach the outbreak of the editorial revolution. «Alkan» opened his arms for Hamina like «the battle of Algiers” by the Italian director Gillo Pontecorvo in 1966, which was banned from showing in France, to the scenario of his film «The winds of the Aures» the Algerian director Hamina presentation sparked indignant demonstrations in front of the “Palace of Festivities” by veterans rejecting its content during Cannes festival of 1967. However, he managed to win the «Golden Camera» award while the Palme d’Or was taken away from him at that time with only one voice what was considered an achievement in itself. He was then crowned with the Best screenplay award in Moscow and the Golden Deer award at the Tangier Festival in Morocco in 1968. The fire of determination did not subside, he did not hesitate for a moment to continue the path of excellence until it reached its heights in 1975, while he was achieving a cinematic revolution on his own, with an epic work in which it was said, «It is one of the largest historical films that succeeded outside Hollywood.» The voice of the opponents and those who rejected it outside the walls of the festival did not make a noise, after dozens of French protested against the wonderful «Chronicle of the Years of Embers», which transmitted the revolution through the lens of Hamina in time and space, to land its travels in Cannes and destroys the Palme d’Or award with all merit. GFB- Welcome, Mr. Daoud, on the pages of Glamour Fashion and Beauty magazine, thank you for your acceptance of this interview which always seek to host personalities as important as you are, you are the exceptional artist who has tended the colors and gifted us with beautiful worlds that touch the sensitivity of gourmets, giving them beautiful meanings in the molds of living extended passion. David David: I have the great honor to receive a generous invitation from an upscale magazine, such as Glamour Fashion and Beauty, a magazine which contents every time a dress of sophistication and professionalism. GFB - In the beginning, our great artist tell us about your relationship with the painting workshop, how do you prepare to get to it, what are your favorite rituals at the start of a new painting,, what are the conditions that you guard to provide when you embark on an artistic adventure, every time where only you and the painting meet each other? David Daoud: I go to the studio and put on some music that allows me to connect with what I am thinking because I have images in my mind, I sit on the sofa, listen , after that based on what I imagine with the spirit of the music and the harmony of the feelings of the moment, I make all these thoughts tangible in the colors that will be the tone of my creativity on the canvas, carried by the music, I feel like I have run out of time and space then I start painting.
David Daoud: There are three types of paintings, there is fun, melancholy and neutrality, I am a melancholy advocate of my sad nature, certainly the exile caused by the civil war in Lebanon has to do with my great sadness, I try to balance that with joyful, harmonious colors in my work. The story I told and interpreted by my colors and my feathers remains for me: Picasso said that everything we paint reflects our personal history, I have accepted who I am and made peace with the painful exile: my paintings reflect it and the viewers feel it, here lies my own style and I am in great harmony with the world I made. GFB - Journalist and art critic Gérard GAMAND says about you in the 45th issue of Azart Art Magazine: “Daoud has a great sense of direction and none of his paintings leaves us indifferent. Each brushstroke takes us to the heart of mysterious adventures” How to succeed in making your business sound almost , voices and souls, it tells stories full of emotions overpowering people?
GFB - With regard to the topics covered by Sayed Daoud LLC, many of your followers consider that you are drawing unity, emigration and emptiness, they relate that to your departure from Lebanon at an early age in very difficult circumstances, what do you think of that? Do you think the artist paints himself in the end? 46 Glamour fashin & beauty
David Daoud: To revive the work you need personal energy, the painting is intuition, my energy is my touch, it is my arm, my mind and my beating heart. Add to that the science of drawing and the Laws and technique of art, so I was able to make my work come alive like a play in which a scene is played within the frame of a painting, a specific shape my way of speaking with its silence,
GFB - Your work suggests a diversity and richness in the way it is presented, as it is difficult to attribute to a specific artistic stream. This is what prompts us to ask a question: Do you consider that you belong to a specific school of painting?
David Daoud: Transformation is an enriching factor in my paintings because the appropriation of the message is a pledge of emotion created by the spectator’s soul painting, I still marvel at the personal customization of the viewers.
David Daoud: Style is the identity of the artist through which his knowledge is transmitted, then the artist creates his style instead of negative participation in this or that current, yet the perception of the history of art pushes us to join a school, my style is hybrid: it still maintains some links with the Impressionist past but it changes it and sometimes transcends it. I am a contemporary expressionist and artistic, I m an artist at the service of my ideas.
GFB - We learned during the preparation of this dialogue with you that you are preparing your colors yourself. Why is this important to you? David Daoud: I prepare the colors by grinding them, I love to realize the nobility of the raw product before it begins its journey on my paintings, when the tube is unknown and we take the color as others have prepared it, something not enough for me because I demand to be the creator of my raw tones, I try to act as a craftsman ,from blank linen to finished cloth. GFB - Mr. David, you are one of the painters who take great care in the distribution of shadows as well as light on their paintings, so what is your own philosophy of using shadows?
Abdelghani Benhariza
GFB - If realism is a mirror through which the artist reflects the real world in his paintings and works, then will David Daoud’s mirror be completely faithful to the image of reality, or will it be concave or perhaps hunched !? Or, in another way, what is your approach to realism in your artwork? Do you basically not see the great importance of the mirror of reality in art?
David Daoud: Every game of nature and the relationship between its components is an eternal game of light and shadow in my eyes, tangibly on the paintings, this game creates form and relief, this means an illusion of reality, that an artist, wish to create, the mystery lies in the shadow as in the light,I breathe the refreshing soul to the painting by nature, I am drawn to the dark side that dominates my paintings. GFB - Your inner world is one of the sources of your imagination, so what is your external source of inspiration, is it a place, another art, a person, or all of that?
David Daoud: The field of art is to transcend reality that does not in itself have a universal value because each individual sees his reality from his experience, it is like a dictionary of words where everyone uses it to tell their story, nature is like this dictionary that everyone uses for their own interpretation, but it takes magic to know how to reproduce it, once the secret is discovered, happiness becomes limitless. GFB - In your opinion, Mr. David, what is the distance between the story you want to tell through a particular painting and the story that the recipient understands after viewing the painting? www.glamourfashionandbeauty.com
Glamour fashin & beauty 47
David Daoud: Nature and life, you cannot love halfway. So I love nature and the scene of life that it presents to us, with the development of our sensitivity, its spectrum is enriched with new colors, the soul is more nourished and hungry for the changing landscape around us, this is what drives and affects me deeply. GFB - David Daoud, as a successful artist painter in his career, has won many awards. How do you view this art? What is the fee for you? David Daoud: Transferring art and making a living, both of them go hand in hand, it is my absolute pleasure to leave a part of my mind among art lovers who fit one or more of my works, pragmatically we need to make a living from our art, otherwise we will not be able to freely practice it. Without physical limitations, I consider myself fortunate to have received this recognition from my fans and to be able to earn a living entirely from my art, thanks to buyers and collectors. As for art, it is the biggest door to eternity, it is the sublime message of humanity against the chaos that surrounds us. Without art, we are immersed in the mantle of everyday life and the transient. GFB - Our great artist David Daoud We are very pleased to host you in this wonderful meeting full of gentle and elegant feelings.
We thank you for accepting the invitation, a final word from the owner of the” Golden Feather”for Glamour Fashion and Beauty Magazine and its esteemed readers. David Daoud: It was a beautiful artistic session that elevates the noble reader to the highest ranks of sophisticated sense by addressing the many details of my artistic career and my artistic experience, I was very pleased to be part of it. the continuity of the information, its clarity, its distance from confusion and interpretation. Among what settled in the World Heritage blogs, the story of a ship that is not like all ships, an English War Galleon whose name was associated with the victories of the English and their abundant spoils, an attractive shape, an exceptional design that enabled it to withstand a unique experience, culminated in success where this ship was able to roam the world on its voyage, which extended
between 1577 and 1580, was led by the sailor, «Francis Drake.» The «Golden Hind» is a warship that became famous in the middle of the sixteenth century, a ship with a long history that recounts the heroics of its sailors and its experienced captain who is considered the first to complete his voyage around the world, was previously known as the Swan before it changed its name on August 20th in honor of its owner Christopher Hutton 1578 to “The Golden Hind “, thus becoming the main ship in the Francis Drake fleet.
This captain, who was able to seize the Spanish ship «Nuestra Senora de la Concepcion», got all treasures it was carrying, with his name inscribed in the record of the great people of England and the whole world at the time. Despite the passage of time and the long succession of decades, neither its history nor its effects have disappeared. Four copies of the same design and size were built, with one still moored on the south bank of the Thames in London, the other settled in «Brixham in Devon». The structure of the latter was chosen to be 30 meters long and six meters wide, weighing 120 tons, equipped with 22 rifles, with which the «Golden Hind» entered history from its wide doors. With the blessing of Queen «Elizabeth the First» and her support for Captain «Drake» and his fleet, particularly his ship, he tugged the seas with his traveling companions to cross South America through the Strait of Magellan and explore the coast behind him. The return of the «Golden Hind” to England was a resounding event. The Drake fleet docked in the port of Plymouth on the eve of September 26, 1580, with 56 of its sailors received and heavily

The latter seized more than half of the spoils of the voyage to direct it to pay off the kingdom’s debts in full, then ordered that the Golden Hind be docked at the mouth of the Thames River in Deptford to be the first museum ship to remain witness to what happened until 1650, the date of the beginning of the erosion of the ship’s hull and the decay of a large part of it The title “Golden Hind” was given to Captain Drake by the French ambassador to England, under the personal gaze of Queen Elizabeth I. The story of the «Golden Hind» did not end there, but was documented in the creation of the TV series Sir Francis Drake in 1963, after a fishing boat was transformed into a replica of the «Golden Hind» at a cost of about 25,000 pounds at the time.
the continents, becoming the inspiration for artists in various fields of creativity. Where the mantra of the «Golden Hind» resided in paintings scenarios, and masterpieces of sculptors who documented the nobility of an achievement that has survived for hundreds of years.
Many copies were subsequently adopted for the purpose of bringing visitors, tourists and preserving the history of this famous historical ship, similar to the version built in 1988 to be placed in the port of Brixham for the same purpose, where it became the destination of a thousand visitors annually.
Among these passionate artists, a young creative star shined , who traveled with his imagination in the worlds of art and beauty, who made strides from his childhood to collect the fragments of his talent that grew with him and was consumed by the abundance of his passion for sculpture and art formation. Where can a tourist enjoy the beauty of Vietnamese architecture and nature wherever he goes at a lowest costs, there is mixed green meadows with the blue of the sky, the delicacy of rivers and amazing water bodies. A visitor to the capital «Hanoi» finds himself in the largest city in Vietnam, an area estimated at 331 km2, accompanied by nobility of origin, where research of scientists has found that man had lived there since about 3000 years BC due to its location. Strategist in the northwest of the Red River, not to mention lakes and ancient architecture remains a testament
to the authenticity of the region. One of the most beautiful sites and stations that tourists may encounter in Hanoi worth traveling to is the Ho Chi Minh Shrine, this building resembles a cube-shaped temple with beautiful architectural details attracts the interest of arrivals to Vietnam. It was and still is a pilgrimage destination for Vietnamese people to greet the spirit of its owner, who’s name remained immortal over generations. «The Returning Sword» is not the title of a series, a movie, or even an adventure novel, but the name of a Lake «Huan Kim» in Hanoi, which was associated with a strange legend that summarized the story of Vietnamese emperor’s victory over the Chinese and the emergence of a giant

For its part, the Alabaster Mountains, south of the city center, located in www.glamourfashionandbeauty.com
«Hoa Hai», are among the most beautiful things that can be seen by the eyes of a tourist in Vietnam, specifically in «Delanang», where its name is due to its embrace of one of the natural phenomena in the region, represented by five super-beautiful limestone hills With its attractive clusters. From the Alabaster mountains to the city of empires, the city of «Hue» is a destination for tourists with distinction to the extent that UNESCO includes this area in the World Heritage List. The months of the year are due to the falling flowers and aromatic plants hanging on its sides, which makes it an indelible aromatic source. From nature and urbanization of Vietnam we limp to the creativity of
Vietnamese hands and their exceptional designs, where the women of this beautiful country are distinguished by their elegant traditional dress, despite the decline in the proportion of wearing it, it remains a symbol of the Vietnamese civilization, «Ao Dai» This attractive royal dress is originally a long open dress Almost to the waist, accompanied by smooth silk trousers, make women more attractive and elegant. «Oday» was not limited to Vietnamese women, but was also worn by men, even kings among them, despite the difference in the design of men and women, man wears a long cloak of silk over the shirt with a head hat that resembles a turban, this traditional dress was not destined to disappear because of the keenness to wear it in schools, events and official meetings in order to consolidate

Here the atlas ends and extends the series of magic beauty ... Between the southern borders, the north-western high plateaus and the desert region in the south about 70 kilometers from the state of the ostrich in southwestern Algeria, a sand flower steals its color from the sun, the mountains its mystery, from the desert Atlas series its extension, over the past years, the desert did not have a tourist status until foreigners touched the beauty in it, the artist took inspiration to draw and sculpt various arts so a new extension of the tourist magic was created to rest in the embrace of the desert, which is not like any desert, but a pearl floating on the surface of Earth to announce the birth of a rose from the sands embracing the Atlas.

A pair of colors carves an artist’s painting ... And «yellow befitting a pearl of the desert» When the blue sky looms from afar to announce a new day, a smiling sun with a clear print shines over the horizon to depict a painting of the Creator’s , its colors are reflected on the green leaves hang over the heads of palm trees that bear witness to the location of the desert ... the sand dunes are enriched with their color. «Golden» envisioned a magical extension brings comfort and relaxation to the soul, at the same time it emits an activity that purifies the body and mind of worries under the influence of its yellow beads ... It will be in front of one of the most important tourist areas called «Ain Al-Safra». The yellow that befits «the pearl of the desert» has been associated with its name and accompanied it
through the camera lens to announce the beginning of a new era, in which the desert will be the refuge of the distant writer, artist who appeals to, even if it is sad «on a feast day» the connoisseur of this magical nature, the waves of wind are dwindled by the cold breezes in winter and warm souls in summer with a scent of the desert that the Hindu sees as sacred and the Chinese consider an emperor. The East and West agreed that it is the color of luxury and wealth, gold and sun, It is called transcendent emotions and minds , embracing the sky. A human hand searching for survival immortalizes creativity, spontaneity and purity ... Seven kilometers from Ayn As-Safra about 10 thousand to 2500 years BC, drawings were engraved, immortalized ideas and beliefs, traditions
and customs were depicted on the rocks of the Skhirat region, time remained a witness by a person who was looking to survive and live in a rugged nature, most likely to be the Neolithic era, where man relied on stones as a tool in his various ways of life. These inscriptions and drawings reflected life striking deeply in history with its customs, traditions and primitive beliefs, including what represents animals of that era, some people who have magical, artistic and religious roles such as drawing a ram, an elephant, some weapons and tools, arrowheads, needles, and knives that fall within the framework of wall art, Ain Safra is part of the Desert Atlas, which includes more than 150 stations, also considered one of the most important and largest open-air museums in the entire world. All those inscriptions that prove human presence in Ain Al-Safra also perpetuate a striking creativity in the depth of history. It may be an «achievement and an invention» generated by the need, but it remains a type of art that found itself a place ravaged for its existence, a high value between ancient and modern arts. The murals and stone sculpture, still preserves its existence to this day, was more spontaneous in that period of time portrayed and expressed as a human hand searching for life and struggling for survival.
