There are no limits to creativity in the field of art Glamour Fashion and beauty, brings you into the world of fashion, catwalks and the latest models. The world of beauty still has this magical side, for a long time it was coveted by kings, sultans, etc. This area is a space of creativity that promotes the expression of designers talent and stylists over time, we can even speak of centuries of research and innovation crowned by organization of festivals of beauty, elegance and the holding of fashion shows. Capitals of fashion have been baptized from Milan to Paris, wi-

thout forgetting New York and Dubai. Every year, the world is kept in suspense, waiting for collections and trends of the new year, spring/summer and autumn/winter seasons in terms of: clothing, shoes, leather goods (bags & luggage), perfumes and make-up. Women’s international day

C

elebrating every March 8 International Women’s Day reminds us that inequalities between men and women remain relevant, and that the gap is still deep despite progress. On the occasion of this day, Glamour Fashion & Beauty magazine made tribute to women from diverse backgrounds in different sectors. From Kathrine Switzer who campaigned for women to be allowed in marathons, via Frida Kahlo impressively talented painter, as well as Rosalind Elsie Franklin Molecular biologist to Marie Curie who won two Nobel Prizes. All these women have at least one thing in common: to make their messages heard, and to assert themselves through the different activities they carry out. The journey of these women is astonishing and full of surprises, It shows us the will and the courage of these great ladies, who guided by their actions and passions, manage to overcome many obstacles. Even if the path still seems far away, the testimonies collected in this issue of Glamour Fashion and Beauty on Women’s Day prove that despite the still widening gap, women are beginning to gain ground and make considerable progress on the path to equality, thanks to individual initiatives that command admiration. Despite changing mentalities in some countries, the international community agrees that the situation of most women in the world is changing very slowly.

At present, no country can clearly state that we have achieved perfect equality. There are still many legal and cultural hurdles to overcome in order to achieve full success. From days of Ruth Bader 8

March 2023

Ginsburg to the present, the path that has been traveled seems small in circumstances, but it continues to progress in the same direction trying to change attitudes and close gap that exists between man and woman. While waiting to see the evolution of this change fully manifest, it will be necessary to

work to find harmony and balance that allow men and women to flourish. Because one does not go without the other and vice versa. The laws of the universe gave woman the power to give birth and create so that man could exist. This fundamental aspect should not be flouted either by

the violence or by the hatred which unfortunately still characterizes some people, thereby preventing them from understanding each other. One can only congratulate and admire the testimony of those who have been quoted in this issue of Glamour Fashion and Beauty magazine who prove by

their courage and their will, that things can move forward. This year 2023 can be a remarkable step in this quest for equality and respect for women’s rights a glimmer of hope that seems possible to a more harmonious world. F. M GF&B MAGAZINE | Issue 12

Since its inception, the association aimed to enable people with diabetes to reach the health care they should provide to save lives by improving health conditions in coordination with many University Hospitals as well as local government agencies. iabetes in reality is a disease that has been difficult to treat, challenged scientists and researchers in finding a cure , initiatives and research are still paving their path towards finding ways to reduce mortality. Custom jewelry designer

The new life of your forgotten jewelry Between you and me. Together a creation. All women have, at the bottom of a drawer, in a box or in a chest, jewelry that they no longer wear. These “forgotten jewels” are nevertheless charged with emotions and beautiful stories, they symbolize strong moments or dear people. Unique and precious, they awaken a nice nostalgia when they are rediscovered, somehow by chance. This is why it is impossible to part with. These jewels have a soul, they convey memories. So most often, they are carefully put back in place, at the bottom of their case, until the next time. What if it was finally possible to sublimate all these «Forgotten Jewels» and transform them into magnificent tailor-made ones?. Innovative and passionate, the designer Jez Debugey gives new life to all “Forgotten Jewelry” by creating jewelry that reflects the personality of her clients. Jez Debugey personally draws each sketch, she buys or reuses the stones her self and supervises the production of the jewels, designed by her partner workshops in Paris and Lyon. Silver, steel, brass gilded with fine gold and leather, hand-blown glass beads, also discover Jez’s collections, with or without stones: feminine, graphic and always original, which complement her «Forgotten Jewelry». And to guarantee excellence down to the smallest detail, each creation is made by the Parisian and Lyonnais workshops she collaborates with.

LA MÉTAMORPHOSE As Vincent van Gogh once said: “The world is a giant eye, staring back at the stars. When it tires, it closes its lids - just as I am doing now - and gives way to dreams, which is why the night is so much more mysterious than the day”. The night and its beauty are the inspiration for today’s collection. The mystery hidden in the stars, the darkness that is the beginning of the day, the magic of the moon illuminating our lives and souls giving respite after a day full of duties and hope for a better tomorrow. The world needs hope, light and love. As we can see in the metaphor of fireflies, light-bearing insects, which really belong to darkness, mean that each of us can be a light in the darkness. Our world is the beauty of the day but also the mystery and magic of the night. Our lives are filled with both the light and the dark side but both of them form who we really are… The collection consists of 20 models. The beginning of the collection are black and white models of a cocktail set supplemented with hand-made organza flowers, a tuxedo and a black and white set with hand-sewn pearl patterns. Models of grey, crystal dresses supplemented with ostrich and swan feathers. An additional element are handbags made of

feathers which are complemented with stones. From shades of grey we move to sparkling navy blues in this pantsuit with silk chiffons complemented by floral appliqués. Mint greens appear in the collection, complemented by ostrich sleeves and hand-made 3D applications in floral forms and champagne gold like the rising sun. The culmination of the collection is the final dress made of silver lace with embroidery designed by La Metamorphose made in Atelier Lesage. There are 3D butterflies in delicate organza and beads and crystal appliqués in a floral design. Butterflies gently touch the shoulder as if they had awakened to a new life after a night full of magic and mystery. The final dress refers to the Lady of the Night, which brings hope and love, making us look forward to the next day. A day that will be the beginning of a beautiful new path. The dress is made of 40 metres of Mikado and 30 metres of lace with luminous crystals. The collection also includes Solstiss lace, Goutarel tulles and silk chiffons.

ALIN LE’KAL The inspiration of this collection has been very complex for me as I had to be inspired by true nature and my closest surroundings. Living in Melbourne, the most locked up city in the world was quite unique. My inspirations came from the state within the country I live in Australia. The state of Victoria has many different natural surroundings from the beach side to to the rich Dark and wet forests. This collection I really wanted to soften the look of my pallet. The richness of colours and textures are very moody and light, playing with architectural Silhouettes, soft silks, incorporated with the richness of the Signature delicate beading which the brand is synonymously known for. My perception of life had changed my perception of light has altered my vision. The perception of time has slowed down.

CAVIAR The collection is inspired by the art and grandeur of the opera stage. 25 elegant and sophisticated designs that capture the essence of the glamour of the woman, which is meant to always be the centre of the spotlight. From 3D laces, rich in heavy beadings and handmade decorations, to fine, premium satins and silks, in this Spring-Summer 2023 collection we see a perfect blend of ‘the best of both worlds’. Desislava Tosheva, the designer of the fashion house, has meticulously crafted a collection, in which she shows that the epitome of elegance can come in all forms: Part of the designs are glamorous, rich in intricate hand-made embellishments consisting of thousands of details and crystals, which elevate the dresses to a level of luxury and sumptuousness, making them perfect for formal events and red carpet appearances. In contrast to the opulent designs, the rest of the collection also features more minimalistic pieces that are chic and focused on the simple beauty that the fabrics and cuts exude, perfect for those who prefer a timeless classic and sophisticated look. Ideal for any special occasion, the couture dresses in Caviar’s latest collection are a tribute to the beauty of the woman made to be in the centre of the spotlight and will make the wearer feel like the star of the show. 2

David Daoud: I go to the studio and put on some music that allows me to connect with what I am thinking because I have images in my mind, I sit on the sofa, listen , after that based on what I imagine with the spirit of the music and the harmony of the feelings of the moment, I make all these thoughts tangible in the colors that will be the tone of my creativity on the canvas, carried by the music, I feel like I have run out of time and space then I start painting.

David Daoud: There are three types of paintings, there is fun, melancholy and neutrality, I am a melancholy advocate of my sad nature, certainly the exile caused by the civil war in Lebanon has to do with my great sadness, I try to balance that with joyful, harmonious colors in my work. The story I told and interpreted by my colors and my feathers remains for me: Picasso said that everything we paint reflects our personal history, I have accepted who I am and made peace with the painful exile: my paintings reflect it and the viewers feel it, here lies my own style and I am in great harmony with the world I made. GFB - Journalist and art critic Gérard GAMAND says about you in the 45th issue of Azart Art Magazine: “Daoud has a great sense of direction and none of his paintings leaves us indifferent. Each brushstroke takes us to the heart of mysterious adventures” How to succeed in making your business sound almost , voices and souls, it tells stories full of emotions overpowering people?

GFB - With regard to the topics covered by Sayed Daoud LLC, many of your followers consider that you are drawing unity, emigration and emptiness, they relate that to your departure from Lebanon at an early age in very difficult circumstances, what do you think of that? Do you think the artist paints himself in the end? 78

David Daoud: To revive the work you need personal energy, the painting is intuition, my energy is my touch, it is my arm, my mind and my beating heart. Add to that the science of drawing and the Laws and technique of art, so I was able to make my work come alive like a play in which a scene is played within the frame of a painting, a specific shape my way of speaking with its silence,

GFB - Your work suggests a diversity and richness in the way it is presented, as it is difficult to attribute to a specific artistic stream. This is what prompts us to ask a question: Do you consider that you belong to a specific school of painting?

David Daoud: Transformation is an enriching factor in my paintings because the appropriation of the message is a pledge of emotion created by the spectator’s soul painting, I still marvel at the personal customization of the viewers.

David Daoud: Style is the identity of the artist through which his knowledge is transmitted, then the artist creates his style instead of negative participation in this or that current, yet the perception of the history of art pushes us to join a school, my style is hybrid: it still maintains some links with the Impressionist past but it changes it and sometimes transcends it. I am a contemporary expressionist and artistic, I m an artist at the service of my ideas.

GFB - We learned during the preparation of this dialogue with you that you are preparing your colors yourself. Why is this important to you? David Daoud: I prepare the colors by grinding them, I love to realize the nobility of the raw product before it begins its journey on my paintings, when the tube is unknown and we take the color as others have prepared it, something not enough for me because I demand to be the creator of my raw tones, I try to act as a craftsman ,from blank linen to finished cloth. GFB - Mr. David, you are one of the painters who take great care in the distribution of shadows as well as light on their paintings, so what is your own philosophy of using shadows?

GFB - If realism is a mirror through which the artist reflects the real world in his paintings and works, then will David Daoud’s mirror be completely faithful to the image of reality, or will it be concave or perhaps hunched !? Or, in another way, what is your approach to realism in your artwork? Do you basically not see the great importance of the mirror of reality in art?

David Daoud: Every game of nature and the relationship between its components is an eternal game of light and shadow in my eyes, tangibly on the paintings, this game creates form and relief, this means an illusion of reality, that an artist, wish to create, the mystery lies in the shadow as in the light,I breathe the refreshing soul to the painting by nature, I am drawn to the dark side that dominates my paintings. GFB - Your inner world is one of the sources of your imagination, so what is your external source of inspiration, is it a place, another art, a person, or all of that?

David Daoud: The field of art is to transcend reality that does not in itself have a universal value because each individual sees his reality from his experience, it is like a dictionary of words where everyone uses it to tell their story, nature is like this dictionary that everyone uses for their own interpretation, but it takes magic to know how to reproduce it, once the secret is discovered, happiness becomes limitless. GFB - In your opinion, Mr. David, what is the distance between the story you want to tell through a particular painting and the story that the recipient understands after viewing the painting? David Daoud: Nature and life, you cannot love halfway. So I love nature and the scene of life that it presents to us, with the development of our sensitivity, its spectrum is enriched with new colors, the soul is more nourished and hungry for the changing landscape around us, this is what drives and affects me deeply. GFB - David Daoud, as a successful artist painter in his career, has won many awards. How do you view this art? What is the fee for you? David Daoud: Transferring art and making a living, both of them go hand in hand, it is my absolute pleasure to leave a part of my mind among art lovers who fit one or more of my works, pragmatically we need to make a living from our art, otherwise we will not be able to freely practice it. Without physical limitations, I consider myself fortunate to have received this recognition from my fans and to be able to earn a living entirely from my art, thanks to buyers and collectors. As for art, it is the biggest door to eternity, it is the sublime message of humanity against the chaos that surrounds us. Without art, we are immersed in the mantle of everyday life and the transient. GFB - Our great artist David Daoud We are very pleased to host you in this wonderful meeting full of gentle and elegant feelings. We thank you for accepting the invitation, a final word from the owner of the” Golden Feather”for Glamour Fashion and Beauty Magazine and its esteemed readers. David Daoud: It was a beautiful artistic session that elevates the noble reader to the highest ranks of sophisticated sense by addressing the many details of my artistic career and my artistic experience, I was very pleased to be part of it. In this Arizonian site, everything is disproportionate and spectacular: the heights, the widths and even the colors since its cliffs display a palette of brilliant colors (white, beige, orange, red, etc.) clashing with the green of the vegetation to give a beautiful mosaic that no painter in the world can reproduce with his brush. Formerly, the Native Americans gave it the name of “Kayo Avoy”, which means “lying mountain.” According to historians, it was precisely the Indian Païutes who chose this name. As for the first Europeans who set foot in this region, they are

likely to have been Spanish invaders who came in search of riches and cities of Orvers 1540. They ended up discovering the site. These first Blancy researchers stayed for three days. They may well, inspect the place to find a path that would lead them to the river which is in the middle of the depths of the groove, but in vain. Impossible to access the said river which contains, passages leading to secret cavities.

It must be said that the magic of its natural decorations, the height of its cliffs, its rocky terraces with strange and impressive shapes are all the attractions that make this site a leading tourist destination. Visitors on site will never tire of admiring a variety of picturesque views. F. M

Today the Grand Canyon is one of the most visited places in the world. Over five million tourists go there each year.
