VERSATILE DOOR DESIGN FOR THE WHOLE MARKET

FLiP, DoorCo’s industry leading door glazing cassette system is now available for any composite door on the market and Mark Towers from DoorCo explains the unique benefits are now available to any supplier.

Since its launch in 2021, FLiP has been revolutionising the composite door market. There is no other cassette system on the market that has the same attributes as the FLiP range – and it is now available to fit composite doors of 44mm,48mm,68mm and 70mm, which is basically any composite door on the UK market. So whether you are a DoorCo ORiGINAL or GRiPCORE customer or not, you can access the wide range of features FLiP has to offer from unrivalled aesthetics to outstanding performance.

FOAM IN PLACE® TECHNOLOGY

One of the leading benefits of the FLiP system is the Foam in Place® technology as it delivers a superior seal, enhancing the weather proofing and durability of the unit. This is proven by the extensive testing FLiP has undergone. Doorsets containing the system have been tested to BS6375-2015 and in accordance to EN1027, and achieved over 1000pa through the glazing aperture during weather testing. This is in large thanks to the fact that the foam seal on the outer frame is machine applied pre-delivery, rather than using labour-intensive tape application methods in-house. This simple feature actually offers wideranging benefits, from enhanced performance and quality to time and cost savings. It is also backed by our 10-year warranty.

SIMPLE & CONSISTENT INSTALLATION

The pre-foamed outer frame is an example of how simple it is to install FLiP. The cassettes are assembled using a simple click-together mechanism that requires minimal use of tools, only a screwdriver. The design of FLiP inside is made up of structural connectors that have now been redesigned to offer a range that works with different door thicknesses. These connectors also have a unique tilting head that adjusts to fit the thickness of the glass units being installed. There is also an innovative angled corner protector to reduce corner flare and support heavy units, with an optional component to insert when needing additional security in larger apertures. Unlike some other systems, the FLiP components are consistent no matter what profile the outer frame is, which means installers only need to be trained once and manufacturing processes can be significantly improved.

Flat Profile

FLiP has two variations of the flat cassette - Stipple and Grained - and three designs overall with the traditional Ovolo (Standard) design that also has a woodgrain finish. The flat profiles are perfect for the higher end, designer doors or to add a modern twist to a more traditional door style. For example, the DoorCo Pevero design champions this eclectic combination.

METALLIC & TWINTONE

As well as being the perfect partner to Links, DoorCo’s aluminium-alternative composite door, the FLiP Flat Stipple range has some other pioneering style choices. METALLiC has been created using the latest paint technology to add a little sparkle to door portfolio. TWiNTONE is a concept that uses an Anthracite Grey cassette against a grey door, to offer some serious contrasting design choices.

In Stock And Ready To Go

METALLiC and TWiNTONE are just two of FLiP’s colour options available. FLiP has a choice of colours available across our Traditional, Contemporary and Designer designs, that are always in stock and ready to go. As a component supplier, DoorCo places a huge emphasis on stock and has a whole warehouse dedicated to delivering FLiP across the UK. FLiP has set the benchmark in driving customer demand for choice and individualisation and now it is compatible with any 44mm, 48mm, 68mm or 70mm composite door, it’s accessible for the whole market.
