Glass News speaks to New Design Windows about their success story and ongoing growth...
New Design Windows Ltd have become one of The North’s leading window manufacturers during their 3 years of operating. With 37 employees and with windows installed across 93 residential sites nationwide, this South Yorkshire based company is a real success story and is growing from strength to strength. Launching the company in 2019 and just as they were finding their feet, the whole of the UK was hit by the pandemic. Any new start business would struggle to navigate through the pandemic, however, it is to the utmost credit of New Design Windows to have achieved almost double their turnover, increasing from £1.3m in 2020/21 to an impressive £3.7m in 2021/22 (and an on budget projection of £6.2m for 2023) with future plans to grow this turnover even further.
Managing Director, Lynne Darwin, previously won the award for Business Person of The Year in Barnsley and Rotherham, as well as being voted one of the top 100 people working in manufacturing in 2015. Lynne is very proud of her team and believes that becoming stronger since the pandemic is testament to their dedication, providing a high-quality service for customers when they need them the most. Here’s what Lynne told Glass News: "We manufacture, supply and install windows and doors from our Wombwell-based factory to major housing developers up and down the country. We are committed to further growing the business with the hope of expanding our locations and hiring new skilled workers each year. We take pride in our successes, milestones and targets, as well as our customer support and highquality products. New Design Windows Ltd has grown exponentially over the last few years as we’ve developed our offering and maintained our very high customer service standards. I know I speak on behalf of the whole team when I say, we can’t wait to see what 2023 will bring!"
Profile of choice is Optima by Profile 22, as Lynne believes that every detail has been engineered to perfection.
Lynne continues: "It's stylist, modern and built to deliver outstanding thermal and weathering performance. Security and strength are unsurpassed. Optima window systems feature a central Eurogroove to give the sashes greater rigidity. We have also implemented strategic local wall thickening for 35% better screw and hardware retention. Our secure bead system passes security tests without glazing clips and is ready for proposed enhancements to PAS24. Optima is a step-change in advanced window design for the 21st century. It’s why it’s the market leader. Choose Optima and it will change your expectations of what a modern window system should offer."
So, whatever your requirements, New Design Windows are ready to take your call and listen to your needs, whether that’s for a manufacture & supply service, installation project or a new build development.
