ANDREA BEERLINK SUCCEEDS MARIJN VAN DEN INGH AS MANAGING DIRECTOR CURA GLASS
As of 1 January, Andrea Beerlink is the new managing director of CURA Glass in Lopik, the Netherlands. She succeeds owner Marijn van den Ingh, who will be working 'in the background' on the expansion of the company. Commercial Manager Bas Mulder succeeds Beerlink as manager of the CURA Glass branch in Assen. 'It is great that Marijn has given Bas and me the freedom to realise our ambitions', says Beerlink in an interview with the trade magazine Glas in Beeld that will be published in February.
Beerlink has been working at CURA Glass, then Spliet & De Waal, since 1995, and has been branch manager of the Assen branch since 2015. Van den Ingh explains the radical organisational change: ‘Andrea has always been the right hand of management in Assen and for the past seven years, she has been in charge of the eighteen employees. That is going very well and two years ago she indicated her ambition to grow. We have assessed all options and this arrangement was the result; also made possible because we have an excellent successor to Andrea in the person of Bas.' Beerlink with tongue in cheek: 'Just as I was sawing Marijn's chair legs, Bas did the same to mine. But joking aside: I wanted to make another move before I turn fifty, preferably within CURA Glass. That has now become possible.'
Making Moves Within Cura
Beerlink bridges the distance from her hometown of Coevorden by residing in Zeist during the working week. Van den Ingh will, as he puts it himself, focus on entrepreneurship and pursue opportunities for acquisitions, expansions and investments. ‘That sounds mysterious, but the most important thing is that I leave the company operationally so as not to get in Andrea's way. I think she can do a better job than me. Why? When you've been doing something for 22 years, it's good to step aside. Both for the job itself and the person. All those directly involved within our management support this choice and are completely satisfied with Andrea. In Assen, she has turned a poorly operating company into a well-oiled machine.'

The company is known for its large product range, large stock and fast (mixed) deliveries and the CURA Safe laminated specialties.
