DEBAR DESIGNS STRONG AND COMPACT LOCK FOR SLIM BI-FOLD PROFILE

Leading bi-fold manufacturer Debar has launched a strong and compact lock perfect for slim bi-folding door profiles.

On Wednesday 22nd March 2023, Unique Window Systems and Kubu Smart Security staged a launch event announcing a new partnership between the two businesses. This will see all Unique windows and doors supplied with ‘Works with Kubu’ capability as standard and with immediate effect.

During the event, which took place at the National Space Centre in Leicester, some 140 people representing a variety of companies from Unique’s UK-wide customer base, heard presentations from Kubu’s managing director, Ryan Bromley, head of projects and technical, Irun Sangha, and design engineer, Tom Jameson.

Collectively, they covered topics such as the highly reliable, highly secure nature of the technology employed by Kubu smart sensors, the ease with which they can be incorporated into new windows and doors, and the rich functionality and benefits they offer the homeowner.

This includes the ability to remotely check whether their home’s windows and doors are open, closed, locked, unlocked or on a vent setting as well as to receive alerts if someone enters or attempts to enter their property.

The Kubu team also highlighted the impressive commercial opportunities available to installers through their innovative ‘3-Levels to Smart as Standard’ sales strategy and Kubu Pro Installer Scheme, which actively encourages installers to take full advantage of current market trends and become smart installers

During their presentations, the team drew parallels with other game-changing brands of smart home and home automation technology such as Nest, Hive, Sonos, and Philips Hue.

Allowing for increased sightlines without compromising security and only 26.5mm wide, the Robus Compact is made from high-strength zinc diecast and has been properly coated making the product fully corrosion-resistant.

Suitable for residential and commercial applications, Robus Compact provides two points of engagement to secure the top and bottom of the door panel. Plus, the threaded rod connections provide easy adjustment and tolerances for improved performance.

The smaller size and design of the lock certainly doesn’t impact the end result as Robus Compact is incredibly secure and can achieve an impressive 90Nm Torque.

Like all Debar products, this slimline lock will also undergo PAS 24 testing to measure its security performance to guarantee it is incredibly difficult for intruders to force entry.

ULTION KEYTAG WINS THE RED DOT AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING DESIGN IN SMART HOME DEVICES FOR BRISTANT-SECURE

Brisant-Secure wins the Red Dot Design Award for Ultion KeyTag, an integrated smart key that can be located using the Apple Find My app. Chosen from over twenty thousand entries, KeyTag impressed the judges with its special integrated design quality, winning in the Product Design category.
