Knotty Alder Interior & Exterior Doors The warmth and beauty of a wood door A rugged look with a natural wood grain; full, rich wood knots; an individual look; a natural choice— the Estancia Series® of knotty alder doors offers the aesthetic elegance and the rustic charm to complement a wide range of architectural styles from Southwestern or Texas Hill Country Estate to Tuscan, Tudor, or Mediterranean—a hand-crafted, “old world” traditional look and feel that only real hardwoods can offer. The Estancia Series offers an impressive range of options and finishes. Choose from six finish colors in both our standard and our distressed finish options. The solid Estancia Series doors—those without decorative glass panels or wrought iron—are available with a decorative and functioning “speakeasy” with a choice of wrought iron grilles, or with “v-grooving” and “clavos” on the panels to give an oldworld, wood-plank look. Some Estancia doors offer a selection of beautiful decorative insulated glass, while others may be ordered with hand-made wrought iron grilles. These doors may be ordered individually, or assembled in matching knotty alder jambs for both interior and exterior applications. In addition to the standard Estancia Series doors shown in this catalog, GlassCraft also offers Estancia Series knotty alder custom doors and glass. All Estancia Series doors are supported by a limited warranty.

Knotty Alder—the perfect wood for your Estancia Estancia: noun—(e-stän’syä): a large estate or ranch in Spanish America. Estancia Series™ Doors—a stunning design series of rustic, knotty alder doors from GlassCraft Door Company, designed for installation into estates (large or small) and beautiful homes all across America. Knotty Alder is an American wood, growing in the west from California north to Alaska. Our knotty alder offers a beautiful “closed” pore and grain and a beautiful finish. Please note that Knotty Alder, like all hardwood species, varies in color, graining, and appearance...this variance is one of the features of a real-wood door! Design Specifications and Construction—All standard Estancia Series doors are 1-3/4” thick, and are constructed using “engineered” stiles and rails to help prevent warping. These stiles and rails have a 5mm thick laminate face, and the stave cores are solid wood. In addition, all door panels are 1 1/4˝ thick, and are constructed using a Section View of Estancia Door Stile and Panel 3-piece assembly which incorporates a plywood “cross-grained” spline in the core to eliminate panel splitting. Jamb Size and Type Options—The 2-panel doors found on pages 10–13 may be ordered prehung as interior or exterior doors. All other doors in this catalog may be ordered prehung as exterior doors only. Both interior and exterior doors may be prehung in door frames that are 4 5/8˝ wide or 6 5/8˝ wide, depending upon the thickness of the wall into which the door and frame is to be installed.

Estancia Series™ Solid Panel Doors Our Estancia Series Solid Panel Doors are available in single or double door configurations. Use the 2-panel single doors as interior or exterior doors, available in both interior and exterior standard sizes and prehung units, and in 6´8˝ tall and 8´ tall sizes. The Estancia solid panel Arch Top and Round Top double doors are available in 8´ heights only.

Options for Estancia Series™ Solid Panel Doors The Estancia Series Solid Panel Doors offers an impressive range of options and finishes. Factory Finish Option—Please refer to page 5 for our finish options. Pre-Hang Option—Our assembled and pre-hung entry options are shown on ages 6 and 7. V-groove Option—Many of the Estancia Series doors in this and other sections of this catalog are available with a V-groove option, which gives a “plank” appearance to the door. The door in the photo at left includes this V-groove option on the two door panels. This popular detail adds a more rustic appearance to the door. The quantity of v-grooves varies with the width of the specific door. Speakeasy Option—Most of our solid panel doors shown in this section may be ordered with our Speakeasy option installed. With this option, a small operable rectangular door is installed in the upper door panel at a height of approximately 5 1/2´. This small door is hinged and latched from the interior side of the door. All decorative glass doors feature “triple-thick” insulated glass (IG) panels. These panels are available in either Pewter color metal or Antique Black color options. Single doors are available in both 6´8˝ and 8´ heights. The Estancia Arch Top and Round Top double doors are available in 8´ heights only. Triple Thick Insulated Glass Panel

Options for Estancia Series™ Decorative Glass Doors The Estancia Series Decorative Glass doors offers a range of door options and finishes. Factory Finish Option—Please refer to page 5 for our finish options. Pre-Hang Option—Our assembled and pre-hung entry options are shown on ages 6 and 7. V-groove Option—The 8´ tall Estancia Series double Arch Top and Round Top decorative glass doors in this section of this catalog are available with this V-groove option, which offers a “plank” appearance to the door. This very popular option offers a more rustic appearance to the door. Clavos Option—Available on the same doors as the V-groove option above, the 8´ Round Top and Arch Top double doors in this section may be ordered with a variety of decorative “clavos” or door nails installed onto the face of the door. We can mount clavos on the interior or exterior or both sides. Choose from any of the clavos options shown on page 9. Glass Panel Metal Color Option—The decorative glass panels shown in this section are available with the two metal or “came” color options shown below. “Came” is the metal channel which holds the individual hand-cut glass pieces together. Both offer superior strength and quality.
