75 YEARS OF GRACE In 2017, the Lutheran Church will be celebrating the 500th anniversary of the reformation. Also in 2017, Grace Lutheran will be celebrating our 75th anniversary as a congregation. During our recent Church Council Meeting, a 75th Anniversary Committee was put in place to start working towards this celebration. If you would like to serve on this committee, please contact Lindel or Nancy Davis.

Grace is having a Church Potluck Picnic on Sunday, September 25th, after the late service. Bring your favorite or new recipes to share with everyone. Drinks and plastic ware will be provided. We will have the meal in the pavilion weather permitting. PAINTING/REPAIR Next Tuesday (30th) & Wednesday (31st) we will start back up with our painting/repair work here at church (starting at 8:30 AM). We still have 4 Sunday School Rooms that need painting (two of which also need some patching/ repair work prior to painting). We also need to apply Kilz/Paint to the back wall of the sanctuary. In the near future we will also be scheduling a couple of Saturdays to install new flooring in the DCE Office and the Church Office area. If you can help or have any questions, please contact Lindel Davis. Nursery Workers Needed We are looking for individuals to work in the nursery on a rotating schedule during the Sunday School hour and the late Worship Service. This is a paid position. Sign up sheet is on the bulletin board outside of the church office for the months of September thru December. For more information contact Lindel Davis or the church office.


September 23 & 24 Training is being rescheduled. Due to the Flood Relief effort going on in Louisiana, some of the key people participating in our training event will not be available on Sept 23 and 24. We will reschedule the training at a future date. Sorry for any inconvenience. Disaster Care Ministry is Putting Together a Work Weekend to Assist Victims of the Flooding in Louisiana On Friday, September 23 we will be heading to Trinity Lutheran Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to assist victims of the record flooding that has occurred in that area. We will return home on Sunday, Sept. 25. If you are interested, put together a team for your church and join us(or you can join us as an individual). We will be helping clean out homes, remove debris, and whatever else in needed. We will not be doing any mold remediation! Plan on bringing tools with you if you can. We will be sleeping at Trinity Lutheran and there will be showers available. The Holy Cow Smokers from Flower Mound are Joining us and will be feeding victims and volunteers Texas style BBQ.
