Dr. Dale Meyer, President of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, as our guest preacher today. Dr. Meyer was also our guest preacher when we celebrated our 50th anniversary. At that time, he was the Speaker for The Lutheran Hour.

Camp Compassion/Project Love Your Neighbor Camp Compassion is reaching out to help those impacted by Hurricane Harvey in the communities around Hope Lutheran Church in Winnie, Tx. Invocation In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen Gracious Father, you have preserved this portion of the body of Christ for these last seventy-five years, and we gather today to remember your goodness to us. We implore your blessing upon our worship and upon our future as a congregation, as we strive to remain in your word and proclaim Christ to this community. Amen

Psalm 22:22-31 I will declare your name to my people; in the assembly I will praise you. You who fear the Lord, praise him! All you descendants of Jacob, honor him! The poor will eat and be satisfied; those who seek the Lord will praise him- may your hearts live forever! All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him, for dominion belongs to the Lord and he rules over the nations. All the rich of the earth will feast and worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before him- those who cannot keep themselves alive. Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord. They will proclaim his righteousness, declaring to a people yet unborn: He has done it!

Praise Team: Holy, Holy, Holy Ephesians 3:6-21 This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus. I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God's grace given me through the working of his power. Although I am less than the least of all the Lord's people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ, and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things. His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory. For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord's holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Gospel Lesson: Luke 24:44-52 He said to them, "This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms." Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, "This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high." When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them. While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven. Then they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy.

Profession Of Faith I believe that I cannot by my own reason or strength, believe in Jesus Christ, my Lord, or come to Him. But the Holy Ghost has called me by the Gospel, enlightened me with His gifts, sanctified and kept me in the true faith; even as He calls, gathers, enlightens and sanctifies the whole Christian Church of earth, and keeps it with Jesus Christ in the one true faith; in which Christian Church He daily and richly forgives all sins to me and all believers, and will at the last day raise up me and all the dead, and give unto me and all believers in Christ eternal life. This is most certainly true.

Litany There was a vision among the Lutherans in Grayson county to faithfully speak Your word and build a congregation as a base for training in the Word. You called pastors and members to minister in this congregation for you. You have blessed this ministry through good times and bad, for the Light of Your Word has been our guide through our history. Enable us to go forward in the doctrines passed down to us from the Apostles and Prophets, ever walking in your light. May the members of Grace always be faithful in our ministry together, serving you and bringing glory to your name. Enable us to be ministers to one another in this place. As we embark on the next 75 years of service to your, keep ever before our eyes the cross of Christ and the knowledge that we have been reconciled to Your through His death and resurrection. In the power of Your spirit, enable us to proclaim the good news of salvation to a world that desperately needs that news, that we may bring others to eternal life in Christ. As we continue to grow in Grace through the ministry of Word and Sacraments, keep us truly thankful for the forgiveness and life you give us through our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen -6-
