Established more than 20 years ago, Naidu Consulting is a vibrant, growing, 100% black-owned BBBEE Level 1 company, with branches in KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng and the Eastern Cape, and works in all provinces within the country. Unabated by the industry downturn, the company has been built on sound principles of service delivery with efficiency, quality and innovative thinking.

With more than 170 staff, the company is ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 accredited. Major clients include the KZN Department of Transport, the National Department of Public Works, SANRAL, three metro municipalities, local municipalities and parastatals. Naidu Consulting’s emphasis on value engineering ensures that innovation is continually introduced to improve efficiency and enhance productivity and service quality through all its projects.

Naidu Consulting has a strong leadership team that is continually nurtured to manage the growing team without diluting the core values of the organisation. The managing director reports to a board of directors and is supported by a team of professionally registered executives, while a clear organisational structure allows for the disaggregation of responsibilities to maintain consistent operations. A mentorship culture is fostered through the organisation to nurture, develop and empower all staff.

The company’s investment in its people has reaped rewards, as the company has continually gained accolades for the numerous projects undertaken within the organisation. Naidu Consulting became the first company in South Africa to win both the Community-Based Projects and Technical Excellence awards for the same project at the SAICE Branch Awards in 2019. It went on to gain national accolades for this project at the National Awards, displaying its technical expertise, carefully balanced with the company’s social responsibility through its work.

The company’s robust financial performance is evident through the opening of two new offices, at a time when many companies have been looking to downsize. Astute business decision-making has limited the impact of industry lulls, with zero retrenchments through recent turbulent times for the industry. Despite the current pandemic, sound business practice has seen all staff proactively prepare to work remotely. This commitment has resulted in no employee salary cuts, no retrenchments, and no intention of dependence on external funding.
