LEWESTON SIXTH FORM - HIGH ACHIEVERS
High Achievers Leweston’s academic record speaks for itself. The girls in our Sixth Form consistently
achieve some of the best AS, A Level and Pre-U results in the region and as a result go on to win places at their chosen universities. This is achieved, not in an overly competitive environment, but as part of a community where girls support each other, where your voice will be heard and where you will have the confidence to develop the study skills you will need to excel in your learning. Our size means that you will get the individual support you need from our specialist staff who will go the extra mile to make sure you achieve your goals. Our leavers go on to study many subjects at some of the top universities. Recent leavers’ destinations can be seen opposite and you can find a full list of the recent examination results and leavers’ destinations on our website.

Interview with Daisy Powles, Boarding Prefect... I joined Leweston in Lower Sixth as a boarder having never fully boarded anywhere previously. Not only was the prospect of starting a new school daunting, but so to was the thought of being away from friends and family. I made the transition with ease especially being put in a boarding house with a group of girls all of the same age. Friendships are soon made and I was immediately welcomed into the Leweston family. I love the flexibility of boarding at Leweston, some weekends I may choose to stay at school to get work done but it is just as easy to go home and recuperate before the next week. If I do choose to stay at Leweston over the weekend there are always activities to take part in, whether they be school based or trips to local attractions and beyond! There is a mixture of full, weekly and flexi-boarding options so something to suit everyone’s needs. Boarding in Sixth Form at Leweston bridges the gap between school and university. We are given extra privileges like the use of the washing machines/tumble drier, which is particularly useful if we come in from a cross country run(!) and in the Upper Sixth there is a kitchen in the common room for all our needs. The common rooms are a great place to relax in the evenings, but we can work in the library out of school hours if need be. Having just finished my time at Leweston I can say for certain that the friends I have made here will be my friends for life and I think that my time boarding has helped strengthen the bonds I have made.
