Host Families – ensuring your child thrives All schools require parents living overseas to appoint a UK guardian to act ‘in loco parentis’ for their child in emergencies.

At Castle Guardians we are happy to fulfill that role for you and have a team of host families who will look after your child when you are unable to do so.

We take a great deal of time to select our host families and carefully match them to the needs of your child. They will provide pastoral care and accommodation during half term holidays and exeat weekends when boarding schools are typically closed.

Travel – a personal service We believe your child’s security and happiness is extremely important, particularly when they are traveling and therefore we leave nothing to chance.

We specialise in travel for unaccompanied minors and liaise with airlines to ensure a smooth handover.

Castle Guardians – your peace of mind

We provide a caring guardianship service for parents living overseas who choose to send their children to private schools in the UK.

We personally notify parents when their child has been met by us and send a further confirmation when your child has arrived safely at school.

All our staff have been fully vetted.

Caring for overseas children

Our host families come from a variety of backgrounds from couples with children of their own, professionals who work in the education sector or parents whose own children have grown up. They are all thoroughly checked and have one thing in common which is a caring disposition and an interest in helping and supporting children and young adults.

We have a dedicated team who will meet your child when they arrive at any of our major UK airports and will ensure their safe onward travel to their designated school.

We offer assistance with visa applications and renewals of visas and passports for children at school in the UK.

Expenses Account: This is a sum of money that the parent lodges with Castle Guardians to cover any expenses of the child. Funds are held in a secure bank account and typically would pay for host family overnight accommodation, transport, possible trips out and any authorised incidental expenses.
