Ann Marie Christian Safeguarding Consultant, Author and Speaker A qualified social worker of 20 years, Ann Marie is passionate about keeping children safe. She’s an author and writes regular articles for various educational journals. Ann Marie has various roles working with local authorities as a LADO, LSCB trainer, social work manager, LSCB panel member, safeguarding advisor and school improvement advisor.
Dr Pooky Knightsmith Author, Lecturer, Trainer and Speaker An internationally respected face of child and adolescent mental health, Pooky works tirelessly to ‘be the change she wants to see’. A prolific keynote speaker, lecturer, trainer and author she develops and shares practical, evidence-informed approaches to promoting mental health– arming health and education staff with the skills, information and knowledge they need to support the children in their care. Pooky has a PhD in child mental health from the Institute of Psychiatry, is the author of five books and is the current vice chair of the Children and Young People’s Mental Health Coalition.
Hibo Wardere Author, Trainer and Speaker Hibo Wardere is a mother of 7 and a FGM activist. For the past few years, she has been working with schools, health officials and police departments to educate them on FGM. Prevention is key, the more that individuals are educated, the more victims are saved. ‘Cut’ is a book written by Hibo on her FGM journey from the moment she was cut and details how it affected her. She has chosen to use what happened to her to better the lives of others and ensure they do not experience the implications (both mental and physical) that FGM can have.
