Glide Models supplies beautiful and versatile models not only to local market within Malaysia, dominantly in Kota Kinabalu, but also to the global market. Initially co-founded by partners Stuart Graham, Mae Imelda Kolis and Georgina Jinu, most of the models are somehow connected or have origins to the Borneo ethnicity. Marinah, the NOW founder, environmentalist and co-chairman, has recently moved to Malaysia and is currently developing and managing several companies. She founded the project NOW (No more plastics in our Waters) collaborating with Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment Sabah, Dewan Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu, Sabah Parks, Environmental Action Centre, Jabatan Perlindungan Alam Sekitar, Bluelife EcoServices, as well as other academic and private institutions. Marinah Embiricos has been involved in various charities and sustainable development projects. She is currently the founder co-chair of the Verbier Green Pioneering Summit, www.verbiergps.com, founder president of the Borneo Tropical Rainforest Foundation, www.btrf.com and is the founder, president of Botza Association, www.botza.org. Marinah has been special advisor to Governorsâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; of West Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, provinces Indonesia and was involve in the Sabah Government in Malaysia on REDD (reduction emission from deforestation and forest degradation) as well as low carbon economy strategies. As the interim coordinator for Indonesia of the Governors Climate Forest Task Force executive, she work closely with the state governments in the US, Amazonas region, and Mexico. www.gcftaskforce.org.
She has been very active in several foundations in England, Malaysia, Switzerland and the Bahamas. She is involved with several public private partnership initiatives establishing community development projects with local, communities, government and the private sector. She sits as board member in various companies and takes a modern, transparent approach to the marketing and production of natural products for both business-to-business and direct to consumer distribution. She advocates complete transparency, sustainable and risk averse supply chain encouraging value for traceable and certified products. Until in Switzerland, Marinah worked closely with the Commune de Bagnes , Business Valais, Swiss Development cooperation UNEP and several foundations, academic institution, private sector as well as local residents to create action plan for sustainable development in the Commune de Bagnes. This initiative has led to cooperation with other mountain communities to address challenges on sustainable mountain development. She is still currently chairing this initiative.

NOW
is a Public Private Partnership initiation aims to clean-up our coastline. With the collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment Sabah, Environment Action Centre, Sabah Parks, Waste Management company and NGOs as well as other sectors. Reminiscing the yesteryears during her childhood, Gaya Island is one of the most beautiful island in Sabah, crystal clear sea, tranquility, beautiful tropical paradise with sea horses and fishes. The place is magical. Then, she has been away living abroad with family over 35 years and came back to the hometown and one day while swimming at Gaya Island, there was an extraordinary phenomenon; she was attacked by a plastic bottle! The alarming situation had given her the definite needs to clean up the coastline, not only for hygiene, health and beautiful scenery but to avoid the disturbance of marine life’s ecosystem. With her vast experiences of several related Public Private Partnership Projects abroad, she had decided to do something for her beloved hometown and initiated Public Private Partnership initiative to clean-up the coastline. After several fruitful meetings with YB Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun, the Minister of Tourism, culture and Environment Sabah and team, we are delighted to announce the collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment Sabah, Environment Action Centre, Sabah Parks, Jabatan Perlindungan Alam Sekitar, Blue LifeEcoServices, Dewan Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu, waste management company, academic partnership and NGOs as well as other sectors in establishing a Public Private Partnership (PPP) initiative to clean up our coastline.
Soft launched recently on the 31st March, 2014, this exciting and worthwhile PPP project will provide solutions and resources to catalyse and stimulates a unique multi beneficial initiative with a public outreach campaign to alleviate poverty as well as to ameliorate the impact of waste dumping on our coastlines and beaches. NOW reaches out to not only various public and private institutions but also the educational and scientific bodies, building the project's capacity in tackling the upcoming challenges. NOW intends to catalyze actions by providing solutions to ensure effective waste management. To start with The Partners of NOW is purchasing two skimmer boats and will be purchasing another three to clean the coastline around Kota Kinabalu as a pilot. These waste will be recycled and reuse. This exciting and worthwhile PPP project collects plastics waste along the major coastline in Sabah, recycles. The mechanism of this project is designed to generate a sustainable income to provide a long-term marine conservation solution. Initiated with at least 2 units of Catamaran Debris Skimmer Boat placed around Kota Kinabalu, the collections of plastic waste will be sent to a Mother Boat, a sailing vessel that will hold all the collection of trashes. With the financial supports by various bodies in smoothing the efficiency of the process, more units of Skimmer Boat will be soon placed to other major coastline. A supervisor will be responsible for the collections and paying for the plastic waste. The Municipality will provide the waste collection with bins, transportation from the bin to the placed within 20KM radius. These plastic wastes will be sorted, cleaned and processed by our plastic recycling plant and made into recycled polymers pellets and sold for profits. Profits will be allocated for coastal conservation activities and also for the coastal communities. The fund will also be used for activities such as public awareness campaign, environmental educational kits, scientific monitoring, community waste and sanitation facilities and many others. Clean coastlines of Sabah through Reduce, Recycling and Re-use of marine litter and sustainable turn waste into value. The public, private and civil entities, organizations or donors who want to contribute substantially to certain aspects of the NOW project, but on a temporarily project basis; such as collaboration with cyclic beach clinic activities, cleaning of submerged waste, performed by local NGO’s and action groups; dive operators. Use of volunteers activities for beach cleaning in coordinated manner and involve ‘volunteerism’ operators into the coordinated cleanup activities. Plastic wastes will be sorted, cleaned and process by a plastic recycling plant and made into recycled polymers pellets and sold for profit. Rozella is an up and coming singersongwriter, who has been active in the local music scene since 2013. She released her first single ‘Genevieve’ in February 2014, and the song is currently No. 2 on the Borneo English Top 10 Charts on Hitz.fm Sabah. In April 2014, She released her second single ‘Blackbird’ which was the theme song to the Walk for Autism Sabah 2014 charity event.
In March 2014, she made her debut performance in Kuala Lumpur at LMP and Numinous Presents Body Talk held at Merderkarya. eremiah Sebastien is a freelance Fashion / Portrait / Wedding photographer from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. His interest in photography started since he was 18 years old and has been learning through experiences with other photographers who share a common vision apart from vastly self-taught/learning online skills. His distinct style is easily recognizable and original. His art photography is symbolic, dramatic, and of a great variety of style. His signature style is crisp and well lighted and conveys some subtly present contemporary notions of fashion and beauty through innovative digital media.
Motivated by his love of computers and electronics, he is no stranger to intricate details and perfection. This is stronly visualized in all of his unique works.
